Just taking a small break to look around, is such a big reaction necessary?
Fu Qian has a reason to doubt his current new identity.
Even now, clearly having returned to a state of quiet contemplation, from one side of the reflection, it’s still noticeable that the female church mber with her hair coiled on top of her head continues to keep an eye on him, refusing to give up.
If it’s just about his lack of focus, it’s a bit harsh, considering she doesn’t seem very earnest herself.
Fu Qian distinctly rembers that at first glance, her posture was quite relaxed and casual, even more so than the person beside her.
Is this double standards, strict with others but lenient with oneself— it’s not impossible.
While quietly pondering, a thought suddenly erged.
Is it possible that his current identity is indeed different from theirs, and he truly shouldn’t be distracted?
Could this also be the reason he appeared in this body?
A fanatic? A mindless living corpse?
Considering that in this Paradise, the latter seems a bit out of place, perhaps the forr is more plausible.
A devout believer who sits here all year, never distracted by anything.
Though he doesn’t yet know what the faith is, it seems like a reasonable explanation.
Of course, this is just a very superficial assumption, more can be tried.
Smoothing the sleeves of his red and blue robe, Fu Qian stood up in the next mont.
...
She actually stood up too, is this female church mber too sensitive?
Unquestionably aware of the movent behind him, Fu Qian successfully confird that the one watching him imdiately stood up as well.
Inside the chapel, a place of Cultivation.
Whatever he does, she follows; no matter what the action, there is a reaction, could this be the legendary dual cultivation?
In admiration, Fu Qian kept his eyes straight ahead, walking directly towards the small door on one side of the chapel...
As expected, he arrived once again at this auspicious place.
He received no obstruction, even though the female church mber seed eager to try.
Upon stepping outside, he was greeted by brilliant light and a glazed sky overhead.
Though he hadn’t been to this area, it was still easy to confirm being within the City of Bliss.
While there weren’t many people around, soone noticed him imdiately.
Equally surprised, but not to the extent of the female church mber.
Observing the surrounding reactions calmly, Fu Qian quickly reached a conclusion.
That is, his current identity seems sowhat special, more than one person is surprised he actually ca out.
At the sa ti, the female church mber’s identity also seems special, as her reaction was unusually excessive.
Fu Qian continued forward and eventually turned a corner along the chapel, seeing that she had actually followed him out and stood at the main entrance watching silently, her expression, of course, remaining calm.
Fu Qian ignored her and kept a steady pace disappearing around the side of the chapel, making a full circle.
Indeed, he hadn’t really left; he just ca to the street to make an appearance.
Observing the surroundings and being observed by them.
One very straightforward observation was that the outside of the chapel, like its interior, lacked distinctive features, even its structure was quite unremarkable.
Of course, such comnts couldn’t be said to the church mbers.
Upon completing a circle and returning, the female church mber with her hair coiled was still standing there, seemingly summarizing what she had just observed.
Fu Qian rely nodded slightly in greeting and returned the way he ca without speaking.
In the seating area, only the male church mber remained, appearing to finally be disturbed by the change. He watched Fu Qian go and return, focusing on him for a mont, but had no further reaction.
In contrast, the female church mber never returned.
...
So was she playing the role of a watcher?
Sitting back in his position, Fu Qian replicated his initial posture precisely.
Rather than believing that the female church mber who was previously so focused on him suddenly lost interest and left, he was more inclined to think that sothing bigger was brewing.
Perhaps she was originally monitoring him on orders, but because his actions were too startling, she went to call for reinforcents.
Certainly, such a plot unfolding in Paradise seed sowhat out of character, but in Sin City, it fit perfectly.
No matter the difference in underlying motivation, this place is teeming with legitimate gangs, even an abundant sex industry, making such worldly matters unsurprising.
Squeak—
And reality proved Fu Qian’s judgnt correct.
The little chapel didn’t remain quiet for long; at so point, it suddenly beca lively.
Even while inside, he could hear the sounds of more than one vehicle pulling up outside.
With such commotion, footsteps rushed towards the chapel, one of which sat directly in the seat beside him.
"Finally done pretending?"
Unfortunately, who is Expert Fu? After traversing the faith circles for years, seducing hearts, defiling the Divine Beings, and usurping the holy position, he sat in the chapel as if at ho, maintaining a calm deanor despite the tense atmosphere.
Soon, the figure next to him couldn’t hold back and spoke first.
The voice was gentle, yet the content was highly aggressive.
"I thought you intended to sit here forever... but unfortunately, leaving the Brotherhood is never so easy."
...
So washing one’s hands of it has never been easy?
Once bloodstains your hands, never imagine truly leaving the worldly society.
From the mont the group appeared, Fu Qian felt a strong underworld aura.
Yet, the fellow beside him, who even appeared a bit bookish, emitted an astonishingly strong worldly air with his silky-smooth speech.
The term Brotherhood alone aroused mories of a past life for Fu Qian.
Kako once said that within the City of Bliss, unless it’s absolutely necessary, avoid getting involved with the Brotherhood. Though they aren’t the largest in number, they’re the most troubleso organization.
Regrettably, his current identity apparently is already a registered mber of the Brotherhood, with the intention of washing his hands clean.
Starting from this point, the previous events aren’t hard to understand.
Intending to escape, but aware of the Brotherhood’s might, "he" ultimately sought refuge in faith, transforming into a Saint within this chapel, acting as though ignoring all external affairs.
Sadly, even so, the Brotherhood wouldn’t let it go, having specifically arranged soone to keep watch here.
Any sign of weakness would an impending disaster.
Truly quite worldly, this City of Bliss is indeed abstract.
Sighing inwardly, Fu Qian finally turned his head, calmly facing the Extre Organizations that filled about a third of the seating area.
No worries, dealing with worldly matters is what we excel at.
Not to ntion, taking that walk earlier was precisely to invite them here.
