Chapter 420: Chapter 420: Servant’s Needle (13)_1 Chapter 420: Chapter 420: Servant’s Needle (13)_1 Blood spattered while Shen Yuan’s nearly mad voice split the eardrums.

The force of her cutting was so great that with only a few frenzied back-and-forth motions, her neck had almost completely severed.

And after decapitating herself, Shen Yuan’s actions did not cease in the slightest; she reached out for her own severed neck.

The next mont, with a fierce yank, a dark red piece of flesh was torn out, shaped like a legless at worm, with even its strange patterns vaguely visible.

There actually was a worm!

Fu Qian gazed at the scene and let out a long breath.

It must be said, things were becoming eerily more peculiar.

Shen Yuan, having ended her obsession, now stood still.

However, the expression on her held head seed to be one of relief.

As for that staff mber, she had already collapsed to the ground, frantically clawing at her face as if she would tear off all the flesh.

The next mont, in Fu Qian’s field of view, a familiar dark red spread out around these two.

Just like the last ti in the hospital, the surroundings swiftly transford.

In almost the blink of an eye, the museum lost its forr tidiness and beca dilapidated everywhere.

“It seems it is indeed possible to enter this world by this thod,” Fu Qian murmured to himself.

So far, it appeared that cognitive collapse triggered this kind of switch.

If one could actually control it themselves, it would undoubtedly be more convenient.

Unfortunately, not even considering whether he was different from other people,

Even if he wasn’t, given his level of acceptance, attempting to induce cognitive collapse would still be a bit difficult.

Thus, the thought was not really feasible.

As he pondered, he surveyed his surroundings. Since it wasn’t raining yet, the visibility inside the building was a bit better than it had been in the hospital.

Aside from being a bit old and broken, did the place seem not much changed?

With exceptional patience, Fu Qian took advantage of the light filtering in and toured the museum once again.

After wandering around in circles for a while, Fu Qian finally returned to the first floor and found a suspicious area in a corner.

“I don’t rember there being a basent here before?”

Fu Qian stood beside the stairs in a corner of the lobby and noticed an ominously dark hole that seed to have appeared out of nowhere.

Had it collapsed due to age?

From the surrounding layout, it was clear that this wasn’t a passage ant to be in the original design.

It seed likely that if there was any issue with this museum, the high probability was it would be down there.

Going down was certain, but without a doubt, there would be no light source below in these conditions.

Fu Qian recalled the layout, quickly found the museum’s duty room, and successfully acquired two flashlights along with several batteries.

Worthy of top-grade ho appliances indeed.

After replacing the batteries and confirming they both worked, Fu Qian complinted them, didn’t delay any further, and jumped straight through the hole.

Why does this look increasingly familiar?

Walking down the staircase beneath the hole, with the flashlight beam covering only a small area, it didn’t take long for Fu Qian to feel a sense of déjà vu.

The walls of this passage were built with black slabs of stone, their surfaces even bearing faintly discernable patterns.

This was not unfamiliar to him; the pit he had dug downwards on the island in the Rotten Forest had been the sa.

Though lacking the top spiral structure, the overall resemblance could be said to be quite high.

Could it be that they were digging for sothing here too?

If that were indeed the case, his current state might not be enough to handle creatures like the Singing Maiden.

However, according to Kelly and the others, this place is like a hallucinatory nightmare. If you are truly sent away, you’re likely to wake up in the upper levels of consciousness—right?

Fu Qian moved even more cautiously, slowing his pace down even further than before.

Fortunately, this tunnel was much shallower compared to the others, so it didn’t take long for Fu Qian to reach the end.

In front of the last step was a familiar round space.

Unlike before, there were no other passages leading in different directions around the space.

All this effort, and there’s nothing down here?

Fu Qian gazed at the empty hall in front of him, lost in thought for a mont.

The next mont, he abruptly took off his jacket, wrapped it around his right hand, and grabbed at the wall.

This action might seem sowhat abnormal, but in the next instant, Fu Qian confird that he had grasped sothing, and not just one thing.

The walls of the seemingly empty corridor weren’t devoid of entities.

The texture of those things was indescribable, but it was certain they were alive; even through the fabric, he could feel their squirming.

Though their movent was extrely slow.

Insects? Transparent? Clinging to the walls of this tunnel?

Fu Qian quickly made a series of guesses.

If that was true, then was it possible…

Fu Qian looked up—were he and these entities completely surrounded at this very mont?

This speculation was undoubtedly unsettling. Fu Qian imdiately turned and headed upwards, but did not hastily discard the things in his hand.

He leaped out of the hole quickly, and with the much stronger light, confird that the mass inside his clothes remained unobservable.

Truly marvelous!

So if this is indeed the source of the entire infection, could the virus ntioned by Kelly and the others actually be these entities?

Both are parasitic, but this type seems even more terrifying.

Besides, no matter what, these things didn’t look anything like a needle!

His task was not to help Kelly and the others find the truth, but to find the thing called Servant’s Needle.

Whilst pondering, Fu Qian threw his jacket, along with its contents, back into the hole.

At the sa ti, his hands quickly searched up and down his body.

As expected, he found several more on his hair and clothes.

Indeed, there were stowaways already.

Leaving just one behind, Fu Qian threw the rest back and found a dagger.

It was evident the dagger had once been well-maintained, but now it was inevitably covered in rust spots.

Of course, considering the risk of tetanus seed rather unnecessary at this ti.

Fu Qian approached the still sharp blade with his hand and drew a line across it with the pad of his finger, creating a fine cut.

Then he squeezed a drop of blood from the wound, letting it fall on the dagger and placed it next to the insect he had caught.

To see more clearly, he turned on both flashlights, casting light from different angles.

Soon the Blood Bead trembled as if it had encountered sothing, then rapidly diminished in size.

Still invisible, but they were clearly interested in human flesh and blood.

The result wasn’t particularly surprising.

It was hard to imagine how a swarm of creatures with the mobility of maggots managed to infect an entire city.

Not to ntion anything else, just crawling out of this museum would take a very long ti.

Wait a second, crawling out…

The next mont, Fu Qian realized sothing and looked back at the hole he had just co from.
