Chapter 444: Chapter 444 Wasteland Section (Six)_1 Chapter 444: Chapter 444 Wasteland Section (Six)_1 “Hmm?”

Upon hearing Tieer’s words, Fu Qian looked up at him.

“Although my strength is diocre, I do have so good judgnt.”

The latter simply smiled faintly.

“One thing I can confirm is that if you really wanted to kill Felix, you wouldn’t need this gun at all.”

“You are much stronger than you appear!”

As he spoke, the man sighed.

“Young people always relish the stories of the lucky ones, bemoaning their own bad fortune, without realizing that every coincidence has a reason behind it.”

“I believe it is precisely this ability that made you the only person to survive.”

“And the Siren Group couldn’t even keep you on to continue the cooperation; it seems this exploration is indeed very dangerous!”

What can I say?

Looking at the old man with a resolute expression, Fu Qian silently sighed in his heart.

Theoretically, that was indeed the case, just with a different sequence of cause and effect.

Furthermore, Tieer’s words also proved one thing: the total annihilation of the first batch of cannon fodder, apart from himself, was no secret.

It wasn’t surprising, after all, it happened at their own residences, and for influential characters like Tieer, it wouldn’t be difficult to find out.

“Flattery will get you nowhere, but since you know I didn’t continue to work with the Siren lot, isn’t it rather unwise to co talk to now?”

Fu Qian said this while gesturing around him.

His aning was clear: you know I’m the only survivor and the one who took the initiative to end the cooperation, so you can’t possibly fail to realize that soone might be keeping watch.

Approaching at this ti is likely to bring trouble.

Ha-ha!

Tieer clearly caught the subtext in Fu Qian’s words and responded with a hearty laugh.

“Out here in the wasteland, trouble is the most common thing, and being afraid will get you nowhere; what you need to do is get used to it.”

There was an inexplicable persistence in the old man’s tone as he spoke.

His ssage was also clear: although the Siren Group may be powerful, the threat that this action might attract is not significant enough to concern .

“In fact, for a newcor, this is one of the qualities I value most in you: it seems that you’re not afraid of trouble.”

He gave a laugh before sincerely comnding Fu Qian.

“Perhaps.”

Fu Qian was noncommittal.

“That’s also why we’re having this conversation. Anyway, I’m still very glad to see young people like you showing up.”

As he spoke, Tieer pulled out a card and slid it across the table toward him.

“If your plans for the wasteland aren’t too clear yet and you have ti, co and find in the old city.”

After saying this, the old man didn’t wait for Fu Qian’s response, got up, walked to the bar and ordered another drink.

Such a free-spirited old man!

Watching his retreating figure, Fu Qian mused for a mont before looking down at the card in his hand.

The information on it was very simple: just a na and an address, nothing more.

After taking a glance, Fu Qian pocketed the card, put on his mask, and left the venue with the gazes of the crowd following him.

It turned out Felix was pretty clear-headed; he didn’t do anything as foolish as waiting outside to regain his pride.

While appreciating the sentint that it’s never too late to nd, Fu Qian discovered so bad news—he was lost.

It’s only normal to get lost in an unfamiliar place.

Especially in a location without any city planning.

But if getting lost is accompanied by everything turning into shades of black and white and gray, that’s unusual.

This feels familiar!

After passing the sa intersection for the third ti, Fu Qian simply stopped in his tracks.

At this mont, everything around was covered in a ubiquitous monochro, as if the world had turned into an old-fashioned black-and-white television set.

If he rembered correctly, he had seen such a scene once before—the Rebirth Club at the Ring Islands.

During his first visit, a student nad Ji Ping had created a similar spectacle to welco him.

He had relied on an eye on his hand to accomplish that.

Of course, the area affected back then was nowhere near as large as it was now.

And Jenny Ma, the pop idol, was not present either.

“Hello there!”

After scanning the area, Fu Qian approached a figure about three ters tall by the roadside and initiated a greeting.

From its appearance, the creature could barely qualify as bipedal, its form was far removed from that of a human, with a ghastly pallor and skin resembling that of a mummy from head to toe.

When Fu Qian first passed this intersection, the creature was standing there quietly as if waiting for a traffic light that didn’t exist.

But Fu Qian had chosen to ignore it, not bothering with it at all.

Now, facing Fu Qian’s greeting, the creature finally responded.

The next mont, two white flas rose in its hollow eye sockets, and it let out a string of laughter.

Regrettably, the laughter was so eerie, it sounded like a donkey with a swollen tonsil, munching on a mouthful of carrots while trying to warm up its voice.

While making an attack that could rival a psychic assault, a huge claw nearly two ters long swiped through the afterimage Fu Qian had left in his original spot.

This doesn’t seem quite right!

Fu Qian, ever vigilant, managed to dodge the sneak attack in ti.

However, from the deep claw marks gouged into the ground, he sensed sothing was off.

The entity before him didn’t appear to be an illusion created by any blinding trick.

Boom, boom, boom!

As Fu Qian contemplated, his hand didn’t stop moving, firing three shots in quick succession.

The creature, missing its target and encumbered by its massive size, only managed to dodge the bullet aid at its head.

The remaining two specially crafted bullets, one white and one gold, whistled out, unquestionably hitting its chest.

For a mont, a large chunk of the monster’s chest turned to ash, leaving two piercing holes.

Before Fu Qian had a chance to thoroughly examine the damage, a dark shadow flashed, and from the wounds, multiple bone spears sprouted out, nearly impaling him.

Indeed, it’s different!

Observing the increasingly exaggerated creature, Fu Qian confird his judgent.

It looked similar but was essentially different.

The scene before him was fundantally different from what Ji Ping had created back then.

The latter could almost be ascribed to illusions, reverting back to normal upon the slightest contact, but the monster before him was undeniably real.

Empiricism really should be avoided.

Instead of swiftly dispatching his target, Fu Qian didn’t hurry but began a close-quarters dodging ga with it.

Even with bone spears, the monster effectively had four claws and occasionally even lifted a leg to stomp.

But its cumberso size ant that with Fu Qian on guard, it was nearly impossible for the creature to even touch the hem of his clothing.

And as Fu Qian weaved and dodged, he constantly searched for the best shooting angle.

Given that the special bullets seed to harm the creature, as evidenced just monts ago, and with only two shots left in his gun,

Finally, after a series of nimble maneuvers, Fu Qian found an opportunity, allowing a bone spear to pierce his coat and in doing so, barged into the creature’s embrace.

The next mont, facing the enormous skull in close proximity, he pulled the trigger twice in quick succession.

Light passed through the head, igniting the flas in the eye sockets, creating a spectacular fireworks display.

And as the creature toppled to the ground with a thunderous crash, the monochro haze quickly receded.

“Not bad at all!”

Almost simultaneously, applause ca from ahead.
