"The Divine Spirits from my soul’s holand don’t like ddling in others’ affairs, especially the troubles of a distant place like this. But on account of being a compatriot, they’re willing to help —or rather, they treat this as a Trial for ." Wizard Shen Yu turned, grasping Aivlette’s hand in return, gazing into her eyes, and spoke with utmost seriousness: "I can choose to give up, take a handful of people—like you—and escape this Plane, to another world without those deities. Aivlette, do you want to run away?"
"...Run away?" Aivlette stared blankly at Wizard Shen Yu.
The answer was already obvious.
She had never thought of fleeing this nation. Even knowing danger approached, and everyone was at a loss, all she wanted was to hurry here and tell her fiancé, pleading with Wizard Shen Yu to escape.
"You are my student, Aivlette," Wizard Shen Yu chuckled twice, "No one understands you better than I do. Likewise, no one understands better than you. If there was no chance of victory, I would flee. But you wouldn’t."
Aivlette was not another Wizard Shen Yu.
While she had learned much from Shen Yu, she had also received a noble’s education and gleaned many virtues from it.

So she truly would not run—even if this country was headed toward ruin, even if she was powerless to stop it, she would et destruction together with her nation.

"Because it’s more convenient?" Aivlette reacted quickly.
"Exactly. Maybe what they intend to destroy isn’t just a single Plane!" Wizard Shen Yu’s mind raced. "Using Divine Power to directly wipe out a city or a nation—a deity could do it. But I don’t believe it would co without cost. Treat the gods as stronger mages, and you’ll understand: any grand display of Magic cos with an equally trendous cost in Magic Power."
If the World of Gods took action, wiping out humankind with unreasonable Mighty Power...
Needless to say, all Wizard Shen Yu could do would be to flee with those dearest to him.
Escape wherever possible, then find a way.
