What courage!
This is the descent of a True God!
Among everyone present, perhaps only Aivlette could understand; she was also, except for Wizard Shen Yu, the only one here who faced the True God without any fear.
Even Necros, the God of Disease, seed to be angered to the point of laughter.
"Such ignorance, such folly!" His fury was completely undisguised in his words, and his Divine Power seed to intensify, rolling over everyone again and again. "Do you truly believe that by rely employing so trickery to eliminate my plague, you can resist the power of the Divine Spirit?"
"Trickery?" Wizard Shen Yu raised his brow, even grinned, letting out a laugh. "You really think so? Unbelievable. As the God of Disease, your understanding of disease is that shallow?"
He had actually anticipated that the God of Disease would surely research the thods by which human civilization resolved disease.
But Wizard Shen Yu truly hadn’t expected that the God of Disease would think those were simply tricks.
What trick could repeatedly, again and again, within such a short span, precisely identify chemicals that could effectively kill a specific virus while remaining harmless to the human body?
And to produce them on such a massive scale!
Originally, Wizard Shen Yu thought that, having lived so long and mastered the laws of their domain, these divine spirits, whatever else, should have so understanding of the material technology of disease.
But now, it seed, he was just an utter illiterate.
", the God of Disease? Shallow knowledge of disease?" Necros really did seem, this ti, to be laughed into rage.
Thousands of years lived, never had there been a day so filled with anger as today!
Wizard Shen Yu also laughed, but his was a joyful laughter.
He admitted, the gods truly brought him imnse pressure—this coming from all he had experienced living in this world for over twenty years, but also from the innate divine level, and overwhelming power, of the gods.
Yet, at this mont, facing the gods truly and directly—
He suddenly realized.
The so-called gods were nothing more.
At least, this god before him, aside from his level and power, was no different than any ordinary mortal.
To be so enraged over re words.
"There is a saying in my holand: Lies don’t wound, but truth cuts deep. You are so angry, could it be because I hit the mark? Perhaps even ridiculed by your fellow gods, that you, God of Disease, know less about disease than re mortals." Wizard Shen Yu taunted without reservation.
Yet to many ears, these words brought a hard-to-describe satisfaction.
Indeed, as the God of Disease, his plagues were actually solved by mortals so easily.
Even forced him to descend in person.
How utterly ridiculous.
And now, Necros truly seed on the verge of being driven mad by rage!
His extended finger even trembled slightly.
Eager to crush the mortal before him into a bloody pulp at once!
"Enough!"
A voice, suddenly, yet again appeared at this mont.
And with it ca a yet more boundless Divine Power!
Vaster even than what belonged to the Plague God just now!
In this instant, those who had been mocking alongside the Magic Emperor’s words now had their expressions change dramatically!
A divine spirit! A second divine spirit!
This one arrived faster; as divine power surged and coalesced into a body, the whole world seed to be chanting his title!
The God of Curse — Maledeictus!
In all recorded history of this plane, never had there been two divine spirits descending together in one place!
And without a doubt, this God of Curse’s divine power was conspicuously stronger than the God of Disease!
Evidence was plain in the God of Disease’s attitude.
At the appearance of the new god, he clearly stepped back.
This drove so people into utter despair.
Even the burly king clad in armor who’d kept standing now had his spine softening, seemingly unable to bear the overwhelming divine power of two gods!
King Senya was just as powerless to withstand it.
Together with his daughter, only endless despair remained.
One divine spirit was already terrifying enough to suffocate.
Let alone two?
Moreover, this God of Curse was clearly also angry on behalf of the offended, directly evident in the rolling Divine Power.
"No need to waste words with such blasphemous mortals." Maledeictus looked down coldly at Wizard Shen Yu, his face filled with the radiance of divinity, but its lines sharply outlined cruelty. "The cris he’s committed rit the most agonizing punishnts—not just him, but his family, his subordinates, his subjects as well. I will tornt their bodies and souls forever with the most painful curses, to show all ignorant, foolish mortals: The will of the gods must not be defied!"
Indeed, that was why they had descended in person.
Wizard Shen Yu had obstructed divine punishnt ti after ti—that was challenge and blasphemy against the gods.
A re easy slaughter was far from enough warning.
They would have him and all those close to him suffer ongoing pain, even eternal tornt.
So kings present, even as their hearts sank into despair, felt endless fury ignite in this mont.
So these were the gods—the ones they had worshipped!
How cruel, how terrifying!
To destroy all without reason, massacre the world, not allowing any resistance at all.
Are mortals ant only to bare their necks and submit to slaughter?
Yet after the rage, ca imnse despair.
If the gods willed it, what could mortals do?
Even the strongest-minded kings now gripped their weapons, trembling, as if hoping to die before they could suffer ongoing agony.
As for the kings expelled beyond, they laughed and mocked without restraint.
The faint smile on Wizard Shen Yu’s face also slowly faded.
Indeed, no matter how ignorant these gods were, they remained powerful enemies—and utterly inhuman ones.
But—
"It is you who are ignorant and foolish." Wizard Shen Yu slowly stood up from the Emperor’s Throne, calmly regarding the two gods, with overt sarcasm in both face and tone. "Ignorant, arrogant, foolish—you really think yourselves supre gods? I told you already, you cannot harm , nor anyone near , because you do not have that right!"
The God of Curse’s face showed trendous anger; he truly couldn’t fathom where this man found his courage!
Had he gone mad?
Even if he had, the harshest tornt awaited!
"Then I’ll start with your wife!" The God of Curse suddenly pointed at Aivlette, who was among the few still standing—and the weakest, glaringly obvious. "She will be devoured by ten thousand insects, burned, cut, drilled, even her very soul will..."
Before the God of Curse finished speaking, Gray Mist suddenly erged from the void.
Right before everyone’s eyes, a black space rift filled with Gray Mist opened, drawing Aivlette into it.
People could clearly see, Aivlette standing in the Gray Mist, only a few ters from the rift’s edge.
Aivlette’s whole body was trembling.
Trembling with excitent!
She recognized this place!
She’d seen it in the visions shown to her by Wizard Shen Yu!
Here stood countless Divine Halls, countless suprely powerful divine spirits—it was the divine holand of her fiancé’s soul!
No mortals should ever reach this place; all who did would die. But now, an invisible force enveloped her continuously!
Protecting her, granting her the right to enter!
"Co on."
Within the Gray Mist, a faint, even slightly lazy voice slowly echoed out. "Any others crossing the Gray Mist without leave—death!"
Aivlette, too, was decisive. She knew her own weakness; at this mont, she dashed without hesitation deeper into the Gray Mist.
