Now reading: Chapter 181 - 127: The Forest Goddess’s Awakening from Facing the Apocalypse with My Other Selves, a Sci-fi novel by Rusty Runes.

Obviously, the God of Disease, Necros, was completely unprepared for such a ans of attack.

Among the gods, battles were not unheard of.

But those were basically struggles of Divine Authority and Divine Power.

As for magic?

It was nothing more than a laughable toy of mortals.

How could Necros have ever imagined what would happen when powerful magic was blended with Magic Power rivaling Divine Power!

The mont that magic struck him, everything about his fate beca clear.

Fall!

The collapse of consciousness, absolute annihilation!

Not even sothing as simple as sleep.

In that instant, the entire world, even the gods, were horrified!

Yet countless mages were watching, hearts pounding with excitent, crying out in wild, hysterical jubilation!

The people of Senya were even more so, even King Senya had gone mad with joy, howling, leaping up and down, waving his arms in utter abandon.

Displaying not a shred of kingly dignity.

Honestly, looking at those hundreds of millions of handso n and beautiful won going mad for him, Wizard Shen Yu’s anger was cald, eased sowhat.

But it was still not finished.

He lifted his head, his gaze as if piercing through the barriers of the Plane, reaching the Hall of the Gods, staring down all those powerful Divine Spirits.

"Have you witnessed mortal power?" he said, voiceless, yet clear.

In the next instant, his aura surged yet again.

He was astonishingly creating his first Fifth Stage magic!

Energy Binding!

This magic has only one effect: to gather scattered energy together and bind it into so kind of solidified crystallization.

Exactly what was needed for the Divine Power left after the downfall of the God of Disease.

The magic itself was not outstanding, but to allow it to reach the level of binding and controlling even Divine Power was no simple feat.

It had cost Wizard Shen Yu nearly five billion Gray Mist!

Clearly, as his power grew and his life form underwent qualitative change, the amount of Gray Mist required to ascend further had beco unimaginably vast.

But the results were obvious.

With a single spell, before the God of Disease’s Divine Power could disperse, it was gathered up and transford into a giant crystal!

Inside, enormous Divine Power was contained!

And that wasn’t all; even the Magic Power in the air at that mont was gathering to form Demon Crystals.

In a sense, this spell was also one that could change the age of the mages.

Especially when paired with the Magic Furnace of before.

And not just for mages—this magic had a certain effect on other types of energies as well.

"Electricity, heat, Primordial Energy..." Wizard Shen Yu felt the new power coursing through him, joy swelling inside, "Is this the power of the Divine Spirits? This single spell is not weaker than the Divine Authority of so innate gods."

But Wizard Shen Yu understood clearly.

At this stage, he really shouldn’t be called a god.

He rely possessed power comparable to those innate Divine Spirits, his life form had indeed fundantally changed.

Yet every previous stage had brought similar transformations.

Moreover, he could sense distinctly that he was still far from those truly mighty Divine Spirits.

Especially those eleven Main Gods standing atop the grand hall.

He could not predict what steps the gods would take next following his ascension to godhood.

He would have to master information first.

Wizard Shen Yu looked again at the body of the Forest Goddess.

Unlike the God of Disease, the Forest Goddess’s consciousness had only fallen into slumber, so even though her divine body had beco blurred, it had not dissipated.

He glanced at his remaining Gray Mist.

Killing the God of Disease had not brought him much Gray Mist, just 4.3 billion.

Clearly, that was the Gray Mist earned by saving nearly 2.6 billion people on this Plane.

Since the mage population ratio was high, the earned Gray Mist far exceeded the number of souls saved.

But it also showed that had he not acted, the God of Disease would have destroyed the entire Plane.

With the previous gains, minus what had been handed over to the Association, and what had been consud earlier—

Now, Wizard Shen Yu had just 29 billion Gray Mist in hand.

"I used to think it was a lot, but at this power level, it’s still not enough." Wizard Shen Yu did not hesitate, "Use it first, talk later."

The next magic of Divine Level was directly conceived.

Awaken the consciousness of a Divine Spirit?

No, it was not so simple.

The Fifth Stage magic created by Wizard Shen Yu was ’Contract and Control of Consciousness.’

It targeted slumbering Divine Spirits, imdiately consuming 8.3 billion Gray Mist!

But it was entirely worth it!

Even the Forest Goddess, Wizard Shen Yu could hardly trust; no one knew whether her love for the people of Senya was that of a goddess or rely of a keeper for pets. Her slumber—was it caused by her desire to protect Senya’s people, or the internal discord among the gods? None could say for certain.

But after a contract—

Divine Spirits could also beco mage familiars!

In the next mont, Wizard Shen Yu pressed his hand upon the Forest Goddess’s form, completing the contract and at the sa ti, awakening her sleeping consciousness.

This scene stunned the gods once again!

When a god’s body is first shattered, its consciousness returns to the origin of the world and sleeps, only awakening once the divine vessel has reford; yet now, it was forcibly awakened!

With heavy injuries, yet revived nonetheless.

"The Divine Court—just how many powers and thods do they command that we have never even imagined?" One Main God murmured softly, voicing the hearts of all the gods.
