Now reading: Chapter 224 - 148: Awakening of the Gods, Main God Level Pow from Facing the Apocalypse with My Other Selves, a Sci-fi novel by Rusty Runes.

The Goddess of Death seed sowhat dissatisfied as she glanced at the Sky God, but in the end, she did not deny it—she only nodded slightly.

In fact, Shen Yu could already sense it; the Divine Power surrounding the Goddess of Death was shrouded in the aura of death.

An extrely powerful aura of death.

It was completely different from the power of the Curse God. Any existence that touched this Divine Power would likely perish instantly.

Very dangerous, and difficult to control.

Wizard Shen Yu imdiately drew the conclusion that the Goddess of Death must be housed separately and not allowed to casually co into contact with others.

However, upon hearing that the Goddess of Death could stand alone against, or even threaten, a Main God, Wizard Shen Yu finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Even if the apparent power of the Magic Empire was still far from the gods, no matter what, from now on, the Magic Empire finally possessed Main God Level strength!

Moreover, the help brought by the Divine Spirits was far from limited to this.

Wizard Shen Yu looked at these Divine Spirits, pondered for a mont, and then slowly spoke: "Divine Power can actually be regarded as a stronger form of Magic Power—at most, it carries its own unique trait, that is, Divine Authority. But different spells also have their own traits, so, Divine Spirits can also practice the Demon Pattern ditation thod."

As his words fell, all the Divine Spirits present jolted.

From astonishnt, their expressions turned to anticipation and longing.

They all knew—it was precisely this Demon Pattern ditation thod that allowed Wizard Shen Yu, as a re mortal, to achieve Ascension to God!

If they could practice it as well, could they break free of the shackle that innate Divine Spirits struggled to grow, and beco stronger?

This was exactly Wizard Shen Yu’s intention.

Innate Divine Spirits could also beco Mages. Moreover, due to Divine Authority, the gods were naturally attuned to certain Domains. In researching spells within those Domains, they possessed innate, overwhelming advantages—advantages few could compare to.

There was no doubt it would greatly accelerate the developnt of magic.

What’s more, only by becoming a Mage, embarking on the path to grow stronger, and gradually converting their own Divine Power into Magic Power, could these Divine Spirits truly be considered insiders.

Wizard Shen Yu wasted no ti and directly taught them the Demon Pattern ditation thod.

The so-called Demon Pattern ditation thod was rely the technique to engrave Demon Patterns and the theory of Demon Pattern Fusion.

But for the gods, that was more than enough.

Wizard Shen Yu even watched as the Goddess of Death completed her first fusion in an extrely short ti.

"It truly is powerful." Her usually languid, gentle voice now brimd with excitent.

Because, within it, she saw real hope of controlling Divine Power and Divine Authority.

Though Divine Spirits were born strong, they could never fully control their power like Mages. If not for this, they wouldn’t emanate Divine Power every ti they appeared, unable to conceal it.

Mages were different.

Especially Mages who practiced the Demon Pattern ditation thod—they were entirely different.

This was one of the chief reasons why Wizard Shen Yu was so unique in her eyes.

In Wizard Shen Yu, she saw too many differences, too much delight.

The Goddess of Death did not fear death, but also yearned for colors opposite to the monotony and gloom of death—this was why she drew near to humanity.

"Everyone, study hard and follow orders." Wizard Shen Yu finally instructed, letting the Divine Spirits return to their own Divine Countries.

He still needed to build teleportation channels that directly connected to the Divine Countries.

For example, the Divine Country of the Forest Goddess had housed many Mages practicing Forest Magic—a Plane that the Divine Spirit had spent a long ti transforming.

"Developnt, still developnt." Wizard Shen Yu thought to himself as his gaze fell on the Origin Plane, now utterly destroyed.

Of course, the Origin Plane itself still existed.

It just no longer had any land, nor a single Divine Hall remaining—only a swirling chaos filled with dust.

The commotion of the gods was not completely erased.

Wizard Shen Yu could clearly sense the gazes of the Divine Spirits, one after another sweeping toward him.

The gods simply could not conceal their gaze. Among them were even Main Gods; each gaze brimd with shock.

"This should buy us so more ti," Wizard Shen Yu thought, letting out a slight sigh of relief.

He could only fight the gods like this—making each move as intimidating as possible.

To stall for ti, to win the chance for further developnt.

But this ti, it seed Wizard Shen Yu had made a miscalculation.

The gods were indeed quiet for a while, but Wizard Shen Yu’s actions this ti truly made them feel a trendous threat—and fury.

They could even destroy the Origin Plane directly!

And, in an instant, used so unknown thod to seize the slumbering Divine Spirits’ bodies and awakened them all.

Once those Divine Spirits recovered their Divine Power, the gods truly felt the threat of defeat.

Yet, they still did not dare confront Wizard Shen Yu in person. All their anger was turned upon humanity.

Only eight days later, Wizard Shen Yu received urgent ssages from every Plane.

Armies of Divine-made Monsters were appearing en masse at the ten Planes guarded by Human Civilization!

In just a dozen minutes, over fifty cities were invaded, with at least several million casualties!

And this was only because Legendary Mages led their legions in an ergency response, and the cities’ automated defense systems unleashed a full defensive attack—thus barely containing further losses.

Yet, the number of Divine-made Monsters only kept increasing!

"They’re teleporting monsters directly into the cities," Wizard Shen Yu sensed the greatest threat at once. "We need to stop this teleportation—we can’t wait any longer."

He instantly used more than ten billion units of Gray Mist to create a spell capable of large-scale defense at the spatial level.

Originally, this spell required one billion three hundred million units of Gray Mist to cast.

But over the past while, this project had been Wizard Shen Yu’s most important research project, and even the scientists of the Interstellar Civilization were trying to find shortcuts through magic and Extraordinary Natural Power to develop a device that could block large-scale spatial teleportation and warp changes.

If the ergency hadn’t happened, further research would certainly have cut down the Gray Mist cost.

But at this mont, there was no need to be frugal.

From Wizard Shen Yu creating the spell using Gray Mist, to the Goddess of Hope designing a Magic Guide device based on the spell and other data, to the rapid assembly of materials and initial production—only three days passed.

Those three days were a showcase of combined power—magic, AI, and industrial productivity united.

The devices blocking monster teleportation were imdiately deployed to every frontline battlefield.

With more Mages teleported in, destruction inside the cities was promptly alleviated.

The gods were helpless—unwilling to take personal action, they could only send countless Divine-made Monsters outside the cities, slowly gathering their forces.

Wizard Shen Yu himself went to one of those cities.

This city didn’t look much like a Magic City at all; instead, it was suffused with a trendous sense of technology.

Tower after tower was built from alloy, possessing incredible hardness. Each building was wrapped, not only in optimized Magic Arrays, but also in Interstellar Civilization’s Energy Shield technology. Even powerful Divine-made Monsters could not inflict significant damage.

At this mont, atop and around the corners of these buildings, so nacing gun barrels extended out.

So were energy focusing rods for channeling magical attacks; many more automated battle robots and robot repair factories lay hidden within.
