"Just when I wanted to slack off, soone cos to bother , isn’t it annoying?"

In a room filled with classical charm, the scent of ink and tea intertwined. Behind a mountain of manuscripts on the desk, an elderly man with gray hair leaned back in a lounge chair, eyes closed in rest, leisurely swaying a teacup. As he noticed soone’s presence, he muttered under his breath, obviously annoyed.

"Na?" The old man inquired coldly without opening his eyes.

"You Su." The young man in black robes replied neither humbly nor overbearingly, adding, "The ’You’ in wander, and the ’Su’ in perilla."

Upon hearing this, Mr. Liu finally opened his half-closed eyes, glanced at You Su, and his gaze, which carried a subtle brilliance, turned unfriendly as he spoke:

"So, you are the new true disciple taken in by the Thirteenth Elder, You Su?"

"I am indeed." You Su bowed respectfully.

"So you still know to co!" Mr. Liu snorted twice, displeased, "Regardless of the disciple, the first thing upon joining the Profound Sky Sect is to report to the scripture hall. Yet, you delayed for over five days. Do you think being a true disciple allows you to disregard the rules? Or perhaps your master, the Thirteenth Elder, thinks I, a re small elder, should personally co to find you?"

You Su felt it was peculiar. Mr. Liu was, of course, one of the twenty-three small elders, but it seed his complaints were not directed at You Su but at the Great Elder, who was You Su’s master’s wife.

"I ant no such thing, nor did my master."

With sincerity in his tone, You Su’s thoughts shifted slightly, then added:

"The delay is my fault indeed, yet the delay was due to sothing my master said."

Mr. Liu raised his brow slightly, furrowing his old brows: "What did he say?"

"My master said that Mr. Liu has been dutiful in the scripture hall for a hundred years and is highly respected in the sect. Since it’s my first visit, I should prepare a little gift to show respect."

You Su straightened up and apologized again, "Unfortunately, I am foolish and thought long and hard about this small gift before deciding, hence the delay."

As he finished speaking, You Su already had a gracefully packaged tea tin in his hand, containing the cool and refreshing White Jade Magnolia Tea.

Mr. Liu raised his white brows lightly and pressed slightly on the armrest, causing his lounge chair to automatically tilt forward, bringing him to a sitting position. He glanced at the tea tin in You Su’s hand, then at the tea in his cup, and finally let his gaze linger on the young man’s face before softening his tone:

"It’s considerate of you. I never thought my small contribution would be noticed by the aloof Thirteenth Elder. Reporting should be completed within seven days of entering the sect, but I am impatient, with many affairs and dislike of delay, and unable to go to Lotus Peak, so I asked the Third Elder to urge you. You did nothing wrong, take the gift back."

You Su smiled serenely, initially thinking Mr. Liu harbored resentnt towards his master’s wife, but upon reconsidering, he felt it was not the case. Mr. Liu seed more like soone eager to retire from his office work, blaming whoever prevented him from efficiently completing his tasks.

"Mr. Liu misunderstands, this is not an apology gift, but a greeting gift."

"Let’s not dwell on it, go through the procedure first."

You Su aptly fell silent.

"Birth date, age, place of origin, family background, and pre-sect experience, report them to ."

You Su narrated each detail, his expression slightly surprised.

This was because, without Mr. Liu lifting a hand, a brush on the desk began to write on its own.

"Eighteen in the Middle Spirit Platform Realm? And blind?!"

While inspecting You Su, Mr. Liu picked up his teacup to take a sip and conceal his astonishnt, but rembering the White Jade Magnolia Tea in You Su’s hand, he felt tasteless and put it down.

"Being blind, why not have a cover over your eyes?"

"My eyes are neither sensitive to light nor frightful to look upon, why cover them with a veil?"

Mr. Liu stared at You Su’s clear yet unfocused eyes before continuing:

"A blind man neither using a cane nor covering his eyes, how would others know you’re blind?"

Upon hearing this, You Su slightly smirked, "I never felt blindness made special, so why should others know?"

Mr. Liu cast a aningful glance at You Su before changing the topic:

"For your age, achieving this cultivation is indeed remarkable. However, the path of cultivation values endurance over the long term; a montary lead ans little, and the Profound Sky Sect is full of hidden talent, avoid arrogance."

"I’ll bear that in mind."

Mr. Liu then asked several basic questions, which You Su answered truthfully.

"Here you go."

Ultimately, Mr. Liu stood up, handing a wooden token to You Su, symbolizing his status as a true disciple of the Profound Sky Sect.

Typically, according to his disposition, he would simply toss the token to disciples. Yet knowing You Su was blind, an admiration grew within, prompting him to personally hand it over.

"Thank you, Mr. Liu."

"Hmm, follow , complete the test, and we’re done." Mr. Liu started walking out slowly.

You Su did not rush after but placed the tea tin on the desk first.

"What are you doing? Didn’t I tell you to take it back?"

"I fear my hands will be occupied during the test, so I’ll leave it for now."

"Rember to take it."

Mr. Liu gave the blind young man a deep look and continued leading the way.

...

"Not asking what the test involves?"

Mr. Liu, walking ahead without turning back, asked casually.

"Whether one asks or not, the response remains the sa."

"While true, this test is sowhat unfair to you."

Upon finishing his sentence, Mr. Liu halted before a pair of gigantic stone doors.

Together, they ford a twin-door, embossed with the towering Henggao Divine Mountain, exuding a palpable sense of sanctity. The ethereal clouds and the majestic mountain seed lifelike, more like beings than re carvings.
