"Sister! You Su can’t see!"
The eighth sister stood stunned for a mont and then realized she had misspoken.
One of the main reasons for You Su’s fa is that he accomplished everything as a blind person. There are many exceptional talents that leave others in the dust, but the only blind one is You Su.
"You Su, junior brother, it’s my slip of the tongue, don’t take it to heart." The eighth sister restrained so of her amusent.
"It’s no problem, sister. I don’t need special treatnt just because I’m blind." You Su replied calmly.
As his words fell, the two beautiful fairies looked at You Su with even brighter eyes. The eighth sister restored her smile and said:
"Junior brother’s ambition is extraordinary. Soday, you’ll surely step into the Void Realm, undergoing a spiritual transformation. It’s not too late to admire the beauty of the five continents then."
"You Su will certainly strive hard."
The eighth sister seed to think of sothing suddenly, her eyes twinkling, and she said:
"By the way, junior brother, your ninth sister has planted plenty of Divine Valley Clear Grass in her cave dwelling. This herb is extrely effective for brightening the eyes. Later, follow the ninth sister to her abode and pick a few plants; it might help you."
Unexpectedly, the ninth sister’s face turned bright red, and she whispered in embarrassnt: "What are you talking about, eighth sister! I—I don’t have a cave dwelling!"
Mr. Shi heard this and agreed: "Yes, eighth sister, doesn’t the ninth sister live in a tree house on the Rootless Tree? How can such a small room grow herbs?"
The eighth sister rolled her eyes at him and said: "You’re new here, so it’s normal not to understand. It’s nothing unusual; the spirit plants in your ninth sister’s room will even dance. You Su, do you want to go see?"
The ninth sister’s face turned entirely red as she put her fists on her knees, crumpling her blue skirt. She stamred, not knowing how to refute.
Before coming to the Divine Mountain, You Su often guessed that the fairies of the Immortal Sect would be reserved and aloof, but when he initially t the eighth sister, who jokingly invited him into the sisters’ chamber, he realized that the fairies are actually similar to mortal won, each with their own distinct personality.
He smiled helplessly, just about to decline the playful invitation, when suddenly an unfamiliar male voice sounded, clear and stern:
"What are you talking about? So happy?"
A graceful male cultivator approached, dressed in a fresh, elegant green robe. Though his words seed to invite conversation, the tone was like reproach.
Seeing him approach, even the lively and lively eighth sister put on a serious expression.
The three True Disciples of Bihua Peak all respectfully said: "Second brother."
The second brother of Bihua Peak was nad Ye Qingchen, coming from a prominent background as the eldest son of the Ye Family, one of the three major families in Henggao City, truly an elite from an Immortal Family.
Additionally, Ye Qingchen was sixty-five years old and already in the Feather Transformation Realm, reputed to be the most promising True Disciple of Mr. Bihua to break through to the Void Realm; he possessed both talent and looks, holding a notable position on Bihua Peak, also highly popular within the Profound Sky Sect.
Ye Qingchen nodded slightly as a gesture, casting a glance at You Su, seemingly to pour cold water on him, said:
"Divine Valley Clear Grass indeed has marvelous effects on the eyes, but like Immortal Pills, a Top-Grade Immortal Elixir can only heal the wounded but cannot resurrect the dead. Even a thousand-year-old deer’s eye seed cannot restore the congenital blind to sight."
Of course, You Su understood this principle; before turning ten, his master had tried various ways to restore his eyesight, including rare Immortal Grasses, but none had any effect. Eventually, they gave up, placing all hope on the spiritual transformation after breaking into the Void Realm.
However, having fused with Taisui, he believed that the ti for restoring sight is not far off, and there’s no need to venture into that ’Dragon’s Pond and Tiger’s Den’ for Divine Valley Clear Grass.
The eighth sister bowed her head, not daring to speak. But the ninth sister tightly pressed her lips together, bravely admitting her mistake, tremblingly saying:
"Second brother, it’s my mistake regarding the effect of Divine Valley Clear Grass. In the future, Qianqian will rember it."
The eighth sister glared at her urgently and said: "It’s my mistake; I didn’t teach my sister well."
You Su silently stood aside. It was just a joke that no one would take seriously, yet before the second brother, it needs such caution?
"The Spirit Grass Record clearly states this; how can you have it wrong? You two go back and copy the Spirit Grass Record three tis, and give them to by tomorrow." Ye Qingchen said sternly.
The two fairies furrowed their brows upon hearing this, but surprisingly both subtly sighed in relief, as if this punishnt was light for them.
"Yes."
Saying so, the eighth sister pulled the ninth sister away from Cui Lan Palace. Before leaving, the two still looked back at You Su with reluctance.
"No sense of self-awareness as True Disciples of Bihua Peak."
Ye Qingchen watched the two won leave and murmured softly.
You Su heard it clearly and could only wonder if this was considered making a mountain out of a molehill by his second brother, but it’s the affairs of their peak, and he shouldn’t interfere.
Ye Qingchen glanced at You Su and Mr. Shi, his gaze indifferent, saying coldly:
"If you have anything to do, go do it; don’t mind these sisters."
After speaking, he didn’t wait for Mr. Shi to respond, leaving behind a tall, sturdy silhouette before the two.
"Alright, Second Senior Brother." Shi Yan respectfully bowed, then led You Su into the depths of Cui Lan Palace.
Ye Qingchen’s voice appeared again, stopping them:
"Shi Yan, where are you taking him? To claim a task reward, you should go left."
Only then did You Su realize that the Third Elder wanted to see him; it turned out Shi Yan was the only one who knew.
"Second Senior Brother, You Su isn’t here to claim a task reward. Master entrusted to take him up the mountain."
Ye Qingchen narrowed his bright eyes. The master taking the initiative to invite a young man up the mountain? Though You Su had so reputation, such a thing he had never seen. He said with a hint of anger:
"When the master entertains guests, it’s always at the tea pavilion in the Cloud and Mist Tea Fields. Didn’t anyone teach you that before entering the peak?!"
Shi Yan, suddenly blad, responded grumpily: "Third Senior Sister did teach , but..."
"Since you’ve been taught, then why are you taking him to the back of the hall? Don’t you know the back hall is the master’s private chamber that even I can’t enter? Or do you want to teach you again?"
Ye Qingchen had no kind tone with Shi Yan. He was extrely dissatisfied with this newly accepted disciple of the master, although he had repeatedly advised the master against it, he was always rejected.
This dissatisfaction wasn’t without reason; the most obvious being Shi Yan’s appearance and temperant were utterly incompatible with Bihua Peak. Among Mr. Bihua’s disciples, the two males were as graceful as jade trees, and the eight females as delicate as willow branches. Shi Yan, with a physique capable of uprooting willows, appeared out of place; also, Ye Qingchen believed Shi Yan’s talents weren’t befitting of Bihua Peak, not to ntion his absurd cultivation thods.
Of course, these weren’t the most important reasons...
"Second Senior Brother, I rember everything, but the master told to let You Su wait in the back hall." Shi Yan kindly replied.
"The master let him wait in the back hall?!"
Ye Qingchen widened his eyes, incredulously examining You Su up and down, "Are you sure you didn’t hear wrong?"
"I’m not foolish, how could I have misheard sothing like this." Shi Yan replied, "Second Senior Brother, let take him over first."
"No!"
Ye Qingchen stopped them with a shout. He stood with hands behind his back, looking at You Su, who had maintained a faint smile and remained silent, his eyes carrying a complex aning.
Even the usually honest Shi Yan was getting agitated by Ye Qingchen’s obstruction:
"Second Senior Brother! What if the master finds out I didn’t accomplish her task and blas ?"
Unexpectedly, Ye Qingchen stepped forward, blocking their path, puffing his chest, and said:
"The back hall has not been entered by anyone except the Senior Sister. Do you think the master would allow an outsider in? If you did mishear, wouldn’t that defile the master’s private chamber? You cannot bear such a grievous fault."
After speaking, he squinted his eyes, hissing, "Or is it... you did it on purpose?"
"No... Ouch!" Shi Yan, tongue-tied, didn’t know how else to convince Ye Qingchen.
"Qingchen, do you now even dare to question my words?"
The sudden voice was extrely charming yet icy cold in tone.
The curvaceous Third Elder gracefully stepped forward from the palace door behind You Su.
Ye Qingchen, seeing the sudden appearance of the master, his gaze faltered for a mont, then he imdiately resud composure and said fearfully:
"Disciple dares not! It’s just that..."
The Third Elder, however, did not look at him or listen to his explanation, indifferently walked past him with a wave of enchanting fragrance.
"You Su, follow inside."
"Yes, Third Elder."
You Su bowed to the graceful silhouette, then whispered to Shi Yan:
"Thanks for your trouble, Senior Brother."
Then he brushed past Ye Qingchen, never sparing him a glance from beginning to end.
"Why still call Mr. Shi? I told you just to call Shi Yan." Shi Yan smiled.
Ye Qingchen’s cheeks puffed slightly, watching as the beautiful woman and the youth disappeared together at the end of the corridor leading to the back hall, gritting out between his teeth:
"Shi Yan, no need to hit the stone today, Second Senior Brother will personally coach you in cultivation!"
"Really?! Second Senior Brother, you are so kind!"
