Now reading: Chapter 265 - 163: Ji Xueruo Goes Missing from Fairy, Don't Be Afraid, I Am Blind, a Eastern novel by Master Hu.

It was already November, and the night fell early.

The luxurious hall was adorned with several sandalwood lamp posts, tastefully arranged, with candles flickering atop them.

Outside the window eaves, a cool evening breeze suddenly flowed in.

The wind brushed against the shell bead curtain, large and small pearls clashing together, jingling lodiously.

Ji Xueruo leaned against the head of the bed, knees together, and delicately turned the pages of the book on her lap with her slender fingers — it was "The Legend of the White Snake".

Today, she unusually did not wear a black dress but chose white, like most fairies often wore, just like the protagonist in this book who always donned a white dress.

In fact, she should wear white; from the color of the Demon Pill, one could see that she was different from her sister, the Cyan Snake. Her real form was a white snake.

But she preferred black, feeling that white did not suit a woman with ambition in her heart. Most fairies did not choose white because they liked it but because a white dress always evoked associations of elegance, nobility, purity, and innocence, though few female immortals actually rited such anings.

In contrast, very few female cultivators wore black dresses, because black is deep, restrained, cold, and controlled, always giving a sense of alienation, yet it perfectly showcased Ji Xueruo’s style and personality. Moreover, her deanor was dignified and noble, with an inherent arrogance in her brow, making her naturally awe-inspiring when clad in black.

However, even in a white dress, she remained a stunning beauty.

The white dress diminished her sharpness, paired with casually tied black hair, giving her a gentle tranquility, as if Bai Suzhen from the book had co to life, knowledgeable, courteous, gentle, and wise.

Despite the fact that her fingertips were leafing through such a scandalously bold book.

A blush appeared on her pale face as she angrily slamd the book shut, exclaiming:

"What kind of senseless romantic plot is this? Clearly, Bai Suzhen and Xu Xian were destined for each other and had gone through so many trials together. How did it end up with Xiaoqing as the one sharing life with him? Bai Suzhen didn’t gain any status in the end, so why is she doing chores for her sister and brother-in-law’s child?"

The more Ji Xueruo thought, the angrier she got, almost beating her chest:

"This Ms. Bai is really too weak! Having her love taken away, she neither stands up for herself nor flees, and stays around them as a servant, why? Such a profound and wonderful story was ruined into a lousy book by this fishy finale, is this really written by one person?"

What she didn’t know was, it really wasn’t written by one person.

The Divine Feather Ship sliced through the pitch-black sea, silently sailing toward Zhongyuan Continent, with the bright moonlight paving the way for the giant ship.

On the Divine Feather Ship, Ji Lingruo was also engrossed in this book, "The Legend of the White Snake".

This book, after her ’embellishnt’, gained many blush-inducing romantic descriptions, which was also the reason it sold so well. However, as the author, Ji Lingruo was most satisfied with the carefully revised ending.

Ever since she heard this story, Ji Lingruo felt that it was a story tailor-made for her by You Su. She naturally placed herself in Xiaoqing’s role, only to find that the romantic subplot involved only the sister, who was a white snake.

The mind of her senior brother was simply unforgivable!

But You Su was blind, and didn’t know whether she was a cyan snake or a white snake, which was understandable considering the circumstances. To avoid exposing that she indeed had an elder white snake sister, Ji Lingruo chose silence and secretly modified the story behind her senior brother’s back.

Though it wasn’t exactly about seizing, when the entire clan’s elders petitioned to graft her Demon Pill onto her more talented sister, Ji Lingruo couldn’t refuse. At the ti, she was forced to the unfamiliar Zhongyuan Continent, harboring so resentnt, so she vented all that resentnt onto the character of Ms. Bai in the book.

So she deliberately wrote Ms. Bai with a stark contrast, a noble matron by day, a lewd wanton by night, just to make readers loathe this hypocritical sister who was inconsistent inside and out.

But sohow... readers seed to love this?

No matter what, making more money off Ms. Bai to improve her and her senior brother’s life was most important.

However, when it ca to the final ending, Ji Lingruo still capriciously modified it to the way she wanted it. This sister, who liked to ’snatch’ things from others, should also taste the bitterness of having her treasured possessions snatched away!

Hmph! And better yet, to kneel down and peek through the window paper every day!

However, this version was rejected by the bookshop owner, citing it as too explicit, so Ji Lingruo had to subtly write it as the sister resting in the side room with her niece, while Xu Xian and Xiaoqing seed to have secretly raised a willow warbler, with incessant warbling keeping her awake all night long...

Ji Lingruo reluctantly turned to the last page, as if rembering sothing, she also irritably slamd it shut.

The book described Xiaoqing taking Xu Xian away from Ms. Bai, how co in reality Ms. Bai was trying to snatch a man from Xiaoqing!

This now makes Xiaoqing even more cyan!

With her brows knitted and gritting her teeth, Ji Lingruo hoped the person steering the ship could go faster, even faster!

She couldn’t wait to cut her wicked sister into pieces!

Of course, if she could succeed...

Yet deep within the Jade Ring Pool, where Ji Xueruo was recuperating, she had no inkling that her sister was rushing over furiously to settle accounts.

Instead, she relished in the fortune that the sensations in the illusions would not feedback to the real body, or else if they were transmitted to Lingruo, the cumulative stimulation would likely drive Lingruo mad...
