Gift?
You Su clearly rembered that he didn’t have ti to prepare a gift for his senior sister and hurriedly returned to Lotus Peak. He had already looked over the spiritual objects sent from Jade Ring Pool, and none of them would be considered significant to his senior sister, so the gift simply did not exist.
He distinctly felt the cool sensation moving on the back of his hand, with fine scales scraping against his skin.
He imdiately opened his black pupils, wanting to see clearly what was wrapped around their hands.
It turned out to be an entirely white and slender spirit beast entwined around their hands. It looked like a white snake, yet it wasn’t quite a snake because it didn’t have a head. At its frontal end, there was a tuft of flower-like white fluff, from which a few pink stans extended, bizarre yet beautiful.
Fairy Wangshu curiously reached out to touch it with her other hand, and it gently lowered its head, with the white fluff beginning to open and close rhythmically, as if enjoying the touch.
You Su had never seen such a creature before, and although he didn’t sense any hostility from it, it was clear that this unknown creature had co from him!
The fact that it had been lurking for a while without his knowledge made him instinctively more vigilant. He cautioned:
"Senior sister! Don’t touch it yet!"
You Su quickly disentangled the lower half of it from his hand and was about to pull it away from his senior sister’s hand, but Fairy Wangshu swiftly stepped back, nimbly avoiding You Su’s hand.
"Does junior brother not want to give it to ?"
Fairy Wangshu seed to like this strange creature, and it appeared to be fond of her as well, with the stans tickling the palm of her hand like a snake’s tongue.
You Su was anxious at the sight, as the creature’s purpose for hiding on him remained unknown. How could he allow it to approach his senior sister?
Just as You Su was about to explain that this wasn’t a gift, Fairy Wangshu obediently offered up the white snake with the flower head, saying:
"Junior brother, it says it knows you."
"Knows ?"
You Su looked at the beast head resembling a white peony and felt a sense of familiarity rise within him...
It was the water beast from beneath Jade Ring Pool that had helped him multiple tis!
It was a unique spirit beast bred from the fish bones of a small white fish, seemingly with an extre affinity for water and earth, able to move freely between them.
The little white fish called it "Little Worm," and Little Worm was similarly slender, without a beast head, only covered with white, algae-like tendrils over its nacing maw.
This spirit beast resembled a cute, miniature version of Little Worm, appearing completely non-threatening.
Its stans began moving again. Fairy Wangshu observed for a while, then said:
"Junior brother, it says its sister told it to follow you."
You Su furrowed his eyebrows. He hadn’t heard anything. How did Senior Sister hear it speak? Was this a special ability of the Innate Purity body? But Senior Sister even ntioned the Water God, so it’s probably not made up.
"Is your sister the small white fish?" You Su asked, facing the floral core.
The water beast seed to understand and nodded its head nimbly.
"What is the purpose of following ?"
After a while, Fairy Wangshu translated for it: "My sister says staying in Jade Ring Pool forever makes it just a worm; to beco a dragon, it needs to follow junior brother. It wants to beco a dragon to help my sister, so it follows junior brother."
Is this another sequel to hiding water and soil? Will it never end?
You Su felt rather troubled. He had no obligation to help this unknown spirit beast:
"Are you male or female?"
Unexpectedly, the water beast swam around twice before displaying the sparsely scaled, milky-white underside of its belly to You Su.
You Su, seeing this, coughed awkwardly and quietly averted his eyes, as if imagining that little arrogant white fish glaring at him in anger: "Do you think this God would be stupid enough to repeat the sa mistake?!"
You Su shook his head secretly, pondering what to do with this spirit beast when Fairy Wangshu suddenly said:
"Junior brother, it’s female, and I’m also female. Do you need to check?"
You Su was thoroughly flustered by this, truly fearing that his senior sister, like this shaless spirit beast, would do such a thing to prove herself.
"I know Senior Sister is female, of course no need to check."
Fairy Wangshu nodded matter-of-factly, her hand gently stroking the spirit beast’s body.
"Junior brother, if Xiaohua is female, can we keep it?"
To persuade You Su to accept the bizarre spirit beast, Fairy Wangshu even had a na ready for it.
You Su examined Xiaohua again, weighed it in his mind for a long ti, and still felt it was inappropriate: "Senior Sister, its origins are unknown, I think it’s better not to keep it."
As soon as he finished speaking, Fairy Wangshu’s eyes clearly dimd, and she looked down at Xiaohua wrapped around her hand with longing.
Xiaohua’s stans trembled again, and Fairy Wangshu looked up happily, saying:
"Junior brother, it says it has saved your life, you can’t treat it like this."

You Su carefully thought back and felt Xiaohua had a point. Their ability to walk away from Jade Ring Pool was sowhat due to this water beast’s help.
While hesitating, he suddenly sensed a sharp drop in temperature around him, just like when he was about to part ways with Senior Sister earlier.
He hesitantly looked up at his senior sister, only to find that even with a mask, the naïve girl’s presence was as cold as frost.
You Su did not understand her aning and was about to ask when Fairy Wangshu, with her ice-cold eyes, said firmly:
"Junior brother, Xiaohua also said it not only saved your life, but also saved that girl’s life. That girl is very important to you, so you especially cannot refuse it. Who is that girl she’s talking about?"
