When You Su opened his eyes, chaos once again shrouded his vision.
But the soft feeling at the back of his neck told him he was once more enjoying the wonderful lap pillow of a young girl.
Ji Lingruo’s breathing was calm and steady, suggesting she was asleep.
You Su felt the pain across his body was no longer excruciating. He tried to lift his hand, which was not much of a problem now, although a silky item slipped down his arm.
?
Why is there sothing draped over ?
He grabbed it and took a sniff. The elegant fragrance masked the sll of blood—it was his junior sister’s skirt.
It must have been his junior sister who feared the cold would affect his injured body and removed her skirt to serve as a thin cover for him.
No wonder this lap pillow felt even more comfortable than the last ti...
"Senior brother, are you a pervert?"
Ji Lingruo leaned back slightly, tugged at the corner of her mouth, and looked down at You Su with disdain in her eyes.
"..."
Feeling guilty like a thief, You Su imdiately put the skirt down and said seriously, "Junior sister, please let explain."
"There’s nothing to explain." Ji Lingruo pouted, turned her body back, and blushed as she said, "Haven’t I figured you out? Always pretending to be a noble gentleman, yet when practicing Qi Movent, you always focus down there under the Celestial Pool Acupoint instead of anywhere else..."
You Su’s mouth twitched. With so much fat to avoid touching, it’s not effective without spending so ti and effort, is it?
"Ahem, it was all proper teaching. Help up first, and then put on your clothes."
"Oh..."
The two leaned against each other again, and with one less layer of clothing, the warmth from each other’s bodies seed more pronounced.
You Su recalled that he had been leaning against the corner of the stone cave wall before he fell asleep. There wasn’t much space left on his side, but there was still ample space toward Ji Lingruo’s direction.
However, he wasn’t so insensitive; if his junior sister actively leaned against him, what kind of person would he be to push her away for more space?
"Give back my skirt." Ji Lingruo reminded in annoyance when she saw You Su not making any moves for a while.
Only then did You Su rember he was still holding her skirt, and he said,
"It’s dirty, don’t wear it anymore. I’ve got a new one here."
He then took out a pink and white hanfu from his Qiankun Bag, one of the many clothes given by the clothing store owner when he defeated Wu Cheng.
"It’s definitely proper clothing, though it may not compare to those I bought for you before. Just make do with it for now."
Ji Lingruo took it hesitantly and asked,
"Most people’s storage magical treasures are barely over a dozen inches big, desperately packed with life-saving items. Why do you opt to store won’s clothes?"
You Su awkwardly explained,
"Most storage magical treasures are made from outer-world materials borrowed by the Celestial Revelation Divine Mountain and are quite rare. Those that are occasionally available are made from scraps of those materials. But my Qiankun Bag is different. It is well-crafted and finely made, so the space inside is much larger than you’d think, big enough even to fit a tea table. So I put a bit of everything in it for ergencies."
"Seriously?"
You Su laughed openly and, with a flip of his right hand, a set of sandalwood tables and chairs treasured by Mr. Ling appeared before the two of them.
Ji Lingruo’s beautiful eyes shone, as if seeing such a magical sight for the first ti. She climbed up and sat on the chair, curiously touching and looking around, incredulous.
Although You Su couldn’t see, he could guess the girl’s expression of amazent, and he said with a bit of guilt,
"Junior sister, this Qiankun Bag has already recognized as its master. I promise to get one for you soday."
Ji Lingruo frowned and said, "Who do you take for? You fought desperately to rob it from that evil way, how can I, even if I wanted, accept yours?"
You Su said nothing more, feeling a warm current in his heart.
Ji Lingruo didn’t stay excited for long either. Once the enthusiasm faded, she shrank back to lean beside You Su again.
"What’s wrong?" You Su asked.
"Afraid you’ll catch a cold!" Ji Lingruo replied fiercely.
You Su silently shook his head, amazed at how adorable his junior sister was, and reminded her again,
"But if you’re not dressed, won’t you be cold?"
"Ah? Oh, that’s right."
Ji Lingruo’s face blushed instantly. She had been so caught up in the mont that she forgot she was only in her undergarnts, which were also dirty and stuck to her uncomfortably. It seed like she thought of sothing and asked in a cold voice,
"Hey, you don’t have won’s undergarnts too, do you?"
You Su’s old face stiffened,
"Actually, I do, but it’s not sothing I specifically prepared. They were among the clothes the clothing store owner gave after I beat Wu Cheng. I figured you wouldn’t care for them, so I didn’t offer them to you, but I couldn’t just throw out soone else’s gift, right?"
"Ha! I knew you were up to no good!" Ji Lingruo stood up, crossed her arms, seemingly to distance herself from You Su, who seed like a hypocrite, and said imperiously, "Hand them over."
You Su timidly handed one over. The fabric seed familiar, but he didn’t really know what style it was.
Ji Lingruo took it in her hands, examined it but couldn’t see it clearly, and then said,
"The previous candle went out long ago. Light another one, too dark to see the clothes."
You Su took out all the candles and fire starters, contemplating that without day or night in this cave, determining ti was impossible, and advised,
"Use sparingly."
Ji Lingruo ignored him, lighting a candle on the stone wall, which brightened the dark cave considerably, also illuminating the large area of the girl’s bare skin.
Ji Lingruo clutched the dress to cover her body, glancing cautiously at You Su. Earlier, in the dim light, nothing seed odd, but now, with the sudden brightness, a wave of shyness washed over her unexpectedly.
