"You Su, hurry up and tell us what’s happened!"

When Liu Nengwu saw You Su return, he approached, concerned, and asked. The others, like him, all pricked up their ears to listen.

You Su led Ji Lingruo back to her seat and just calmly said:

"Mr. Liu, what can a blind man like know? If there’s really sothing going on, they’ll tell us."

Liu Nengwu saw his attitude and understood it must be sothing not to be discussed casually, so he stopped asking and started whispering with those around him.

Even if they didn’t know the details, the phrase "Mr. Qi is an evil entity" was enough to make these villagers speculate with trepidation all night.

"Senior brother, it’s so scary..." Ji Lingruo said softly, still with lingering fear.

"Is the evil entity Mr. Qi turned into very terrifying?"

You Su held Ji Lingruo’s soft hand, his thumb gently stroking her smooth hand like caressing fine, warm jade.

You Su chuckled inwardly; by now, holding his junior sister’s hand had beco an easy, routine action.

Ji Lingruo used so strength to pinch You Su’s finger:

"It’s a bit frightening, but that’s not what I’m afraid of..."

"Then what are you afraid of?"

"I’m afraid... afraid that one day I might beco like that."

You Su paused before firmly saying:

"No, even if that day cos, I’ll wake you up."

Ji Lingruo’s gaze flickered, looking up at You Su, and then she said in an extrely low voice:

"If I turn into that for saving you, I’m willing. If I can never wake up again, I only hope senior brother..."

You Su pressed his lips tightly, vaguely guessing what the girl might say but feared the words hesitating on her lips, so he didn’t dare respond.

Ji Lingruo naturally leaned her head on You Su’s shoulder and continued:

"I only hope senior brother can kill himself..."

You Su’s heart skipped a beat; he unconsciously used more force, squeezing Ji Lingruo’s hand until it hurt.

Ji Lingruo mumbled, "It hurts."

You Su then reacted and quickly started rubbing her sore hand.

"Sorry, junior sister."

Yet, Ji Lingruo suddenly bead with a smile as bright as the crescent moon in the night sky, her eyes curving. She pressed You Su’s uneasy hand, her tone rare with solemnity:

"Senior brother, promise ."

You Su hesitated and then lightly nodded:

"Yes."

With the agreent made, Ji Lingruo said no more, and the two of them silently nestled together, as if their hearts were also closely knit.

...

You Su opened his eyes.

The cobwebs on the beam remained, and the long-hidden spider finally appeared, trembling the insects trapped in the web, unable to escape.

You Su found it odd; this should be his dreamscape, but the dream’s detail was too rich, even the unnoticed corner of the beam adorned with realistic cobwebs.

You Su was puzzled, not understanding how he had unwittingly returned here. Given the outside situation, he shouldn’t be complacent enough to fall asleep.

He turned over in surprise, realizing the monster sister who stayed behind closed doors twice before now stood at his bedside just like before.

"Junior sister, you can co out now?" You Su was sowhat surprised.

"Yes." The monster sister turned her head slightly, nodding.

"Then you’re alright now?"

The monster sister said nothing, just shook her head.

You Su’s montary joy faded; he felt sowhat guilty:

"I thought junior sister being able to leave the room ant you were better."

You Su had tried to avoid discussing the things the monster sister told him, guessing Ji Lingruo might still not realize her awareness was lessened.

"Hmm. Staying indoors, sleeping alone, definitely feels more comfortable."

"Then why don’t you go back to rest?"

"Wanting to resist seeing you, isn’t that impossible?" The monster sister’s mouthpiece slightly rotated, and her body began to secrete those familiar fluids again.

You Su couldn’t help recalling the day the monster sister confessed to him, the words "let hide from you forever, how could that be possible?" piercing his heart.

No matter her appearance or priority, both consciousnesses were his cherished junior sister. He got up and embraced the sticky, massive flesh in front; under his embrace, he couldn’t even join his hands.

The Taisui Version of Ji Lingruo was clearly startled, her six fish eyes widened, revealing a lot of frightful sclera.

She was sowhat incredulous and uneasy, her mouthpiece slightly opened, montarily unsure of what to do, only letting him hug her.

But such warmth was fleeting; despite wanting to ask so questions, You Su couldn’t, as the world before him started changing, then plunged into boundless darkness.

The Taisui Version of Ji Lingruo stayed rooted, powerlessly watching You Su get sucked into a black vortex, which then vanished, leaving the room empty with only her.

She hung her head in desolation, like a withered tree.

At this mont, a voice suddenly echoed, not stemming from any direction but reverberating throughout the space.

"Why aren’t you hiding in the room, coming out here!"

The voice, angry and impatient, filled with reproach, sounded exactly like Ji Lingruo’s without needing close listening.

The Taisui Version of Ji Lingruo acted as if realizing she had done sothing incredibly wrong, lowered her head, self-reproachful:

"I just wanted to co out to see him..."

"What good is wishing? Are you worthy of seeing him?"

"I... I’m his junior sister, why am I unworthy?" The Taisui Version of Ji Lingruo thought of this, and her tone also fird up.

"Haven’t you looked in the mirror to see what you look like now? I’ve warned you before, this is senior brother’s dreamscape, he can see you! You look so ugly, yet you co out here, wanting to frighten him to death! And trick him into hugging you, don’t you find it sickening!"

"I..." The Taisui Version of Ji Lingruo glanced over her own body, her montum weakening, sounding sowhat tearful, "But this isn’t my body, it’s obviously yours..."

"Shut up!"

The voice abruptly interrupted the Taisui Version of Ji Lingruo, then hysterically shouted:

"This isn’t ! This is you now!"

The Taisui Version of Ji Lingruo remained silent, yet the voice was relentless:

"Let warn you, you voluntarily accepted my power! You, a helpless waste who can only watch senior brother get bullied, stay here obediently! Don’t entertain any wicked thoughts, once senior brother fell into this dreamscape, you stay in the room, don’t co out! Don’t speak! I’ll naturally send senior brother out!"

The Taisui Version of Ji Lingruo couldn’t help but recall that day, as she struggled at the brink of unconsciousness, sensing the murderous intent surrounding You Su, but she could do nothing.

A voice suddenly questioned her: Do you want to save senior brother? If so, then absolutely close your eyes.

Without any hesitation, she complied.
