Laughing wildly, Laxus transford into lightning and tore straight through the chaotic battlefield with a deafening roar.
His target was clear, pointing directly at Mystogan.
Boom!
A brilliant pillar of golden lightning suddenly descended from the sky, carrying a violent aura like a divine punishnt, forcing Mystogan to retreat.
"Mystogan, co and fight!"
Bathed in lightning, Laxus's expression was confident and arrogant as he provocatively extended a single finger.
"You will be the first one I defeat in this competition!!"
Mystogan's expression tightened, and a rare trace of fighting spirit appeared in his eyes.
He pulled out the magic staves from his back one by one and planted them in front of him.
"Skyscraper!!!"
Laxus's eyes suddenly lost their luster.
The next mont.
"Hahahaha, how boring!!"
Laxus's wild laughter rang out as he looked across with disdain.
"Mystogan!!"
"Did you think you could deal with with just a simple illusion?!"
"A pity... you're still a step too late."
Mystogan's voice was flat, devoid of any emotion.
"You are already trapped within my magic circle!"
"Sleep!"
"Five-Layered Magic Circle: Sacred Song!!!"
Hum! Hum! Hum!
Five intricate and bright magic circles suddenly appeared above Laxus's head, completely enveloping him in the light they emitted.
"Heh..."
Laxus gave a cold snort.
"In the end, who exactly is a step too late?"
Hearing this, Mystogan's expression faltered slightly as he glanced down.
At so point, a magic circle had also lit up beneath his feet.
"Waaaahhh!!"
"Ughhh!!"
A pillar of light and lightning descended simultaneously, striking Laxus and Mystogan respectively.
Watching the two of them trade blows several tis in such a short span, Lucy felt her scalp go numb.
"Wait, isn't sothing wrong?"
Her mouth hung open, her face full of disbelief.
"Shouldn't we be taking this opportunity to go pull the flag? Why did they suddenly start fighting each other?!"
"I knew it would turn out like this."
Cana shook her head and placed a hand on her forehead.
Not only was she not surprised by this situation, but she also began walking toward the crowd.
"Cana, where are you going?"
Lucy called out hurriedly.
"To join in, of course."
Cana turned back, looking at Lucy as if she were an idiot.
She pointed behind her.
"Everyone gathered here, isn't it for the sake of fighting?"
Lucy was instantly stunned.
'Is that how it is?'
'That's not it at all, okay!!!'
Lucy turned her head to look left and right, hoping the remaining two could help her out.
As it turned out... Chico was looking at the domineering Laxus with her hands over her heart and hearts in her eyes.
"So cool! Laxus!"
Juvia's cheeks were slightly flushed, her gaze devotedly following Gray's figure.
"That vigorous posture, so handso! Gray-sama!"
Chico and Juvia exchanged a glance and smiled slightly, full of encouragent for a kindred spirit.
"..."
Lucy felt a wave of dizziness; she clutched her head and ruffled her long blonde hair fiercely.
In her mind, a tiny version of herself was throwing a tantrum, letting out a silent scream.
'What the hell is going on!!'
'Are there any normal people left in this team?! Why am I the only one here to seriously compete?!'
'This is too hard for !!!'
Atop the Cathedral.
Ron looked down from above; he found that ever since the four teams converged, the scene had spun completely out of control.
There was no need for him to fan the flas; everyone had naturally descended into a chaotic ss.
It got to the point where he had nothing to do but watch the show.
"Oho, it's starting, it's starting."
Ron rubbed his hands excitedly, watching the chaos below.
"Ice-Make: Lancer!!!"
Several ice spears flew toward Elfman, spinning at high speed.
After Elfman barely dodged them, the spears didn't lose montum but instead made a strange turn.
They headed straight for Laxus, who was in the middle of a fierce battle with Mystogan.
"Tch."
Laxus gave a light snort and, without even turning his head, flicked several bolts of lightning back, instantly shattering the ice spears into powder.
He originally thought this was just a small accident in the lee.
He didn't expect that this was only the beginning.
Quicksand, plant vines, purple flas, smoke... all sorts of magic would "accidentally" veer off course from ti to ti and attack him.
Once was a coincidence, twice was a fluke.
But a succession of accidents caused Laxus's brow to furrow tighter and tighter.
"Oho, you're usually so arrogant, and you even thought about taking everyone out during the elimination round. Now you're getting focused, aren't you?"
Ron propped up his chin, watching this scene with great interest, letting out a gloating laugh.
"This is the love from your 'family', Laxus."
Just as he finished speaking.
Several longswords transford into streaks of light, piercing the air and shooting toward Laxus from an extrely tricky angle.
"Again?!"
Laxus's gaze turned cold.
He suddenly reached out, and a net of lightning appeared out of thin air, trapping all the incoming swords.
The montum of the swords ca to a dead stop within the lightning net; the blades humd and vibrated, but they could no longer move forward even half an inch.
Veins were starting to bulge slightly on Laxus's forehead.
Once or twice could be called an accident.
But now, even an idiot could see.
These guys were doing it on purpose!
The next mont, a dark purple magic beam grazed past Erza and blasted toward Laxus with a clear target.
"You guys..."
Laxus forced Mystogan back with a punch, then suddenly turned his head, his gaze sharp as a knife as it swept over the others on the battlefield.
"Sorry, Laxus."
Erza held her longsword, her tone flat, but there was a faint, almost imperceptible smile in her eyes.
"The battle is too chaotic; it's inevitable that so attacks might go astray."
"Oh my, I accidentally used a bit too much force."
"I'm really sorry—"
Mirajane covered her mouth with her hand, her smile innocent and pure, her eyes crinkling into crescents.
"Laxus... you're not angry, are you?"
"Pfft—"
Ron, sitting above watching the show, finally couldn't help but laugh out loud.
"Mira, when she shows a bit of her true nature, is really wicked..."
Just then.
A genuine mistake from Fried accidentally landed on Laxus.
"Sor-Sorry, Laxus..."
Fried looked embarrassed, his heart pounding wildly.
'It's over, it's over, how did I hit Laxus? He won't abandon , will he?'
'No, it was just an accident, right... just an accident!'
"THERE! IS! NO! END! TO! THIS! IS! THERE!!"
"You... BASTARDS!!!!!"
Laxus finally reached his limit.
Fine! Fine! Fine!
Everyone wants to hit , right!!
Then no one lives!!!
Boom—!!!
Terrifying magic power suddenly erupted from within Laxus, and golden lightning soared into the sky.
Countless electric snakes flickered wildly within the clouds, letting out deafening thunderclaps.
The next second, countless bolts of violent lightning rained down from the sky, enveloping the entire area!
Ron's eyes flickered as he watched the falling lightning, his brow arching slightly.
"Heh, tsundere guy!"
"Has he changed after all?"
