Ron gazed at the modifications he had made to Levy and her two companions, nodding with satisfaction.
Since the original plan for a sneak attack had fallen through, they would simply charge in head-on and raise so hell. Gajeel had conveniently handed them the perfect pretext on a silver platter, so there was no need to fear the Council nitpicking about the matter afterward.
After all... this ti, they were the ones forced to counterattack!
"Ron!!!"
Natsu's loud, anxious shout ca from the distance.
Ron gave a aningful look, signaling the three to quickly get ready.
Under the pressure of his intimidation, Levy and the others had no choice but to act as if they were severely injured and on the verge of collapsing.
In the next second, Natsu had already rushed to the front.
Behind him were Erza, Gray, and Lucy, who was being flown in by Happy.
Even Makarov had run out while still wearing his pajamas.
Ron thought: Old people really do go to bed early... When the group arrived and saw the scene before them, their expressions turned incredibly ugly.
Under the moonlight, Levy, Jet, and Droy sat on the ground "on their last breaths," covered in blood and in tattered clothes.
Ron had put a lot of effort into Levy in particular.
The girl, who usually always wore a sweet smile, was now as pale as paper. Her body was covered in bruises, and her clothes at the abdon were stained red with blood.
It was a sight that would make any man silent and any woman weep—truly miserable!!!
"Levy-chan!!!"
Tears instantly burst from Lucy's eyes. She rushed forward to support Levy, her nervous gaze filled with heartache.
"Lucy-chan, don't worry, I'm fine."
Seeing her good friend's tears flowing uncontrollably, Levy felt a pang of guilt.
But with Ron's earlier signal, she could only offer a weak explanation.
Clearly, it was useless; Natsu and the others' eyes were now erupting with fury.
Makarov stepped forward, his gaze fixed on Levy and the others.
"Ron..."
His voice was terrifyingly raspy. "What on earth happened?"
"Master, I'm sorry. I arrived a step too late."
Ron turned around and lowered his head, concealing his expression.
"It was Gajeel from Phantom Lord."
"When I arrived, Levy and the others had already been beaten like this and were unconscious."
"At the ti, he was even planning to take them away, intending to strip them naked and nail them to a tree in South Gate Park so everyone in Magnolia could see, just to humiliate us!!!"
Ron thought: Sorry about this, Gajeel.
Gajeel's reaction: This is too shaless, this is blatant slander!!! I want to file a complaint!!!
"What?!"
"That bastard!!!"
"Phantom Lord—!!!"
Hearing this, Natsu, Gray, Erza, and the others instantly exploded.
Levy, supported by Lucy, almost lost her composure from embarrassnt when she heard Ron's embellished lines.
What is Ron saying? Stripping naked... Gajeel didn't seem to say anything like that, right?
This guy is way too good at making things up!
Ron thought: What do you an 'making things up'? If I hadn't arrived, that's exactly how things would have developed... Levy only felt her face burning, but because of Ron's prior instructions, she could only bury her head in Lucy's chest, her shoulders trembling slightly.
In her heart, she was frantically complaining: Ron, you big liar! I won't be able to show my face in public anymore!
"Levy-chan!"
Lucy gently patted Levy, soothing her emotions.
'Did the guys from Phantom Lord really intend to do sothing so excessive? To think I actually considered joining them before.'
'Those people are truly the worst!!!'
"Master—!!!"
Natsu turned to look at Makarov, barely able to suppress his rage.
"If it was just destroying a tavern, I could tolerate it, but..."
Makarov's gaze was heavy as he looked at the "blood-covered" Levy.
"There is no parent in this world who can remain silent after seeing their own child bleed!"
"Boom!"
An unprecedented, terrifying magical power erupted from his small fra.
It was as if a sleeping dragon had suddenly awakened. The clouds in the sky were instantly scattered, and even the visible moonlight dimd before this fury.
"Endurance... is no longer necessary."
Makarov slowly raised his head, his voice low but sounding like rolling thunder.
"The war begins!!!"
That night, the fury of Fairy Tail was completely ignited... In the northeastern part of the Kingdom of Fiore, in Magnolia Town, the branch of Phantom Lord stood right in the center of the town.
While the residents of Magnolia were still worried and curious about Fairy Tail's riot, Gajeel had already returned to the guild.
His face was grim, and that irritable aura that warned people to stay away made those around him instinctively move aside.
Just then, a figure darted out from the side.
"I heard, Gajeel! You went to sneak attack Fairy Tail all by yourself and smashed their guild to pieces! That's amazing!"
As he spoke, he pumped his fist excitedly, a look of schadenfreude on his face.
"Hehehe, those guys must be crying their eyes out looking at the ruins right now, right? They really des—"
"Bang—!!!"
Gajeel's right arm transford into a black iron pillar and slamd into the person's face.
The massive impact sent the man flying across the hall, finally embedding him into the wall.
The sudden turn of events shocked the entire guild into instant silence. Everyone's eyes were filled with terror, and they didn't even dare to breathe loudly.
Gajeel retracted his arm expressionlessly, not even glancing aside, his tone arrogant.
"Didn't I say? Don't just talk to ... trash."
He had just suffered a setback at Ron's hands and was eventually forced to retreat. The fury in his heart had nowhere to vent, and he hadn't expected this buzzing fly to approach him.
"Clap, clap, clap."
Slow and elegant applause ca from deep in the shadows of the second floor.
A tall, thin middle-aged man wearing a purple-black magic robe stepped out.
It was the master of Phantom Lord, Jose Porla.
"rciless not only to enemies but also to your own people. As expected of my ace, Gajeel."
He stood on the second floor, looking down at Gajeel with a faint, half-smile.
"However... looking at you, it seems the operation didn't go very smoothly?"
"Tch."
Gajeel clicked his tongue in annoyance. Thinking of those heterochromatic eyes, his tone beca irritable.
"I was planning to give them a big gift, but I was hindered by that Heterochromatic Ron."
"Oh?"
Jose's nonchalant expression finally showed a flicker of movent.
"Heterochromatic Ron? That newcor who has been rising to fa in Fairy Tail over the past year?"
As Fairy Tail's arch-rival, Jose naturally kept an eye on Fairy Tail's movents. He had heard the na Ron many tis.
He just hadn't expected the opponent to be able to make Gajeel return in defeat.
"He was actually able to stop you?"
Jose's tone was sowhat skeptical. Gajeel was his ace; ordinary Wizards should only be fodder for an instant kill in front of him.
"That guy..."
Gajeel recalled the brief exchange between them and the bizarre ability the other had shown.
"He hides himself very deeply. Everyone has underestimated him!"
"Hmph, so what if he hides deeply?"
Jose didn't take Ron too seriously. A vast pressure belonging to the Ten Wizard Saints emanated from his body.
"In the face of absolute power, everything is futile. Since he's a nuisance, we'll just crush him along with Fairy Tail when the ti cos."
"So, this plan counts as a failure?" Jose asked calmly, restraining his aura.
Gajeel nodded, his tone a bit disgruntled.
"If it's just to the extent of destroying the guild, those Fairy Tail guys won't take action."
"It seems... we need to formulate a new plan."
