A warm wave of welco washed over Lisanna as cheers filled the guildhall; every mber offered their heartfelt greeting to the girl who had returned safely.
Tears silently traced paths down Lisanna’s cheeks; the familiar atmosphere filled her with the comforting warmth of ho.
"I’m ho..." she cried, her voice breaking with emotion.
"Cry all you want, before the feast begins," Makarov said with a kind smile.
A large banner was soon hung prominently in the guildhall:
Welco back Lisanna! And welco new mbers Nancy and Panther Lily!
The boisterous atmosphere transford the guild into a scene of unrestrained joy, with mbers dancing and celebrating everywhere.
Finn, Makarov, and Gildarts sat back, observing the lively scene. Finn had just finished recounting the events of their journey.
After hearing Finn’s narrative, Makarov took a sip of his drink and said slowly, "It’s truly a sha about Mystogan, but we can only hope he thrives in Edolas."
Sensing the Master’s sadness, Gildarts interjected, "Rest assured, Master. He’s soone who grew up in this guild."
"That guy certainly held onto the guild’s beliefs," Finn added with a knowing smile.
"That’s good..." Makarov nodded, his spirits lifting slightly.
"Say, Finn, you quietly snagged two beauties from our guild!" Gildarts, a veteran of the dating scene, raised an eyebrow, a mischievous grin spreading across his face.
Finn waved dismissively. "Old man, you have the nerve to call out? Compared to you, I’m practically a saint."
Gildarts, it could be said, was the most womanizing mber of the guild, likely surpassing even Loki in his pri.
Gildarts remained unfazed by Finn’s retort. He had the thickest skin in the guild.
"But Finn has countless admirers, even within our guild. Many young won hold a torch for him—sothing Gildarts can’t claim," Makarov interjected, taking another sip of his drink.
"Really?!" Gildarts exclaid dramatically. He then slapped Finn on the shoulder. "You young’un, not bad, not bad at all! Looks like I have a successor! Hahaha!"
"What are you talking about?" Finn shook his head in exasperation.
Ignoring the two elders, he grabbed his milk and moved to a quieter corner.
"Don’t be so shy, Finn, it’s a good thing! Young people should sow their wild oats; you won’t have the chance later. Want to take you to experience so earthly delights soti?" Gildarts chuckled, his voice laced with suggestive innuendo as he watched Finn walk away.
Suddenly, Gildarts’ laughter ceased. Years of honed instincts, finely tuned to anticipate danger, alerted him to a sudden surge of killing intent behind him.
Even Makarov sensed the shift in atmosphere, lowering his head and pretending to sip from his now-empty glass, remaining cautiously silent.
Gildarts turned his head slowly, a tremor running through his body.
Two pairs of crimson eyes glared intensely at him.
"What did you just say, old man?" Mirajane’s low, dangerous voice echoed.
"Yeah! What were you saying about taking Finn sowhere?" Erza’s question, though seemingly innocent, carried an undercurrent of icy nace that seed to lower the temperature of the surrounding air.
"I... I actually ant to take Finn to enjoy so delicious food..." Gildarts stamred, his eyes blinking rapidly, attempting to feign innocence.
"Do you expect us to believe that?"
"Hehehe..." A chilling, synchronized laugh erupted from Mirajane and Erza.
A short while later, Finn, amidst the bustling crowd, heard a series of pained yelps. He glanced around curiously, but without finding the source of the commotion, he shrugged it off, deciding not to investigate further. After all, a day without so sort of commotion in the Fairy Tail guildhall was a rarity.
anwhile, Makarov, with a hint of sympathy, observed Gildarts sprawled on the ground, his head adorned with a collection of sizeable bumps. A wave of relief washed over him; he was thankful he hadn’t added to Gildarts’ misfortune by speaking up.
Erza brushed the dust from her hands, her dangerous gaze now fixed on Makarov.
"Master! You are a role model for the younger generation. Please refrain from teaching them any more... unconventional things," she stated, her voice firm yet laced with a warning.
"Yes!" Makarov responded, his body stiffening with nervous tension, his voice a strained affirmation.
Satisfied with Makarov’s prompt and unequivocal response, Erza nodded approvingly before departing from the scene alongside Mirajane.
"Master..." Gildarts reached out a trembling hand towards Makarov, silently pleading for assistance.
However, Makarov, having just received a pointed warning from Erza, rely glanced at Gildarts with a subtle, almost imperceptible shift of his eyes before silently moving a couple of steps to the side, continuing to quietly savor his drink.
...
anwhile, a group of kittens sat together at a table, observing the lively atmosphere of the guildhall.
Panther Lily gazed around with a mixture of curiosity and slight bewildernt. "So this is... the guild where the prince once belonged?"
"It’s awfully noisy," Nancy comnted, taking a sip of her juice, her gaze sweeping across the bustling scene.
"Seems everyone’s first impression is the sa," Carla observed from the side.
"This guild is super fun, though!" Happy exclaid happily, extending his small paw in a gesture of enthusiastic agreent.
Finn approached the kittens, his gaze softening as he addressed Nancy with genuine concern. "Nancy, are you settling in alright?"
Nancy nodded, her gaze sweeping across the room. "Aside from the noise, everything’s pretty good."
Finn chuckled softly, his gaze lingering on the lively scene surrounding them. "This," he said with a heartfelt sigh, "is Fairy Tail."
"Does everyone in this guild really possess magical abilities? It’s quite terrifying..." Panther Lily remarked, his voice laced with a hint of awe and apprehension.
Erza approached the group, her presence commanding attention. "These are the mages of Earthland."
"Erza," Panther Lily’s expression softened slightly upon seeing the familiar face, a sense of comfort washing over him.
"But what truly matters isn’t magic itself, but the heart of the mage who wields it. You should understand that," Erza said, turning her gaze towards Panther Lily.
Panther Lily offered a gentle smile. "Although we are different people, having at least one familiar face brings a great deal of reassurance."
At that mont, Gajeel suddenly burst into the scene, his voice echoing through the guildhall.
"Finn! Fire Dragon! And the little girl!" Gajeel bellowed, his enthusiasm bubbling over.
"Let’s have a showdown between my Panther Lily and your golden cat, white cat, and blue cat!"
"Huh? I’m in!" Natsu imdiately responded, his competitive spirit ignited.
Finn, however, shook his head, a hint of amusent in his eyes. "What are you even thinking?"
"Looks like you’ve been noticed by that troubleso cat," Lucy said, chuckling lightly as she observed Wendy’s expression, which was now etched with a mixture of apprehension and exasperation.
"Um..." Wendy stamred, her voice laced with a hint of uncertainty.
"It should be fine... probably," Levy offered, her voice laced with a nervous chuckle.
"Are all the people in this guild muscle-heads?" Nancy sighed, her voice tinged with exasperation.
"Don’t involve in this!" Carla declared firmly, her voice leaving no room for negotiation.
"Let’s just forget it..." Happy suggested timidly, his voice laced with apprehension.
However, Natsu and Gajeel showed no signs of backing down, their competitive spirits fully ignited.
They stood nose to nose, grabbing each other’s collars, their faces contorted into mischievous grins.
"Let’s get one thing straight, my Panther Lily is the strongest!" Gajeel declared, his voice brimming with confidence.
"My Happy is the king of all cats! Unbeatable, you idiot!" Natsu retorted, his voice filled with boisterous self-assurance.
Upon hearing Natsu’s boastful proclamation, Happy’s confidence wavered slightly.
"Natsu... I actually think I’ll be instantly defeated..." Happy whispered, his voice filled with a mixture of apprehension and self-doubt.
"Have so self-respect, will you?" Nancy chided, shaking her head in exasperation.
"Surrendering before the fight even begins? Are you even a man?" Carla added, her voice laced with a hint of playful sarcasm.
"Let’s just call it off," Panther Lily interjected, his voice calm and asured, effectively halting the escalating tension.
"Despite my appearance, I was the captain of the Magic Warfare Corps. Pointless fighting will only lead to injuries," Panther Lily explained, his voice laced with a hint of maturity and wisdom that belied his diminutive size.
Finn, observing the scene from a nearby table, chuckled softly. "I never thought you’d be the mature one."
Panther Lily responded with a serious expression. "It’s more likely that they’re just being childish."
He extended his small paw towards the other cats.
"Let’s all get along peacefully, Nancy, Happy, and Carla!"
The kittens exchanged glances before mirroring Panther Lily’s gesture, raising their paws in a show of solidarity and agreent.
Witnessing this display of unexpected maturity and cooperation, Wendy let out a sigh of relief, her initial apprehension dissipating. After all, she knew that getting caught up in Natsu and Gajeel’s antics would undoubtedly lead to chaos and mayhem.
