"Be careful!" st unexpectedly shouted a warning, pulling Wendy aside just as a massive explosion erupted from the spot where Wendy had been standing monts before.
"An attack?!" Lily exclaid, his voice laced with astonishnt. "What in the world is going on here?"
Lily turned to question st, who stood beside Wendy, having successfully shielded her from the blast.
At that very mont, a figure erged from behind the large tree.
"Excellent reflexes," the figure stated, his voice laced with a hint of amusent. "My na is Azuma, and I am one of the Seven Kin of Purgatory, belonging to the Grimoire Heart guild!"

Elsewhere on Tenrou Island...
Makarov, in his floral shirt, stood silently before the headstone, his expression heavy with sorrow. The headstone, covered in moss, was old and weathered, yet it held a fairy—Mavis Vermilion, Fairy Tail’s first master, lay here.
"A red flare... it ans enemies are here. How could this happen..." Makarov murmured.
"Mavis, Fairy Tail’s first master. I never imagined enemies would co to the guild’s sacred ground. How could I have failed you?"
Makarov closed his eyes, seemingly repenting for his failures.

"It’s all my fault, and I will accept the punishnt. So... please protect those children!"
Makarov opened his eyes; imnse magical power surged from him. His tightly clenched fist, the bulging veins—all showed his rage. This was the giant’s wrath.
...
anwhile, outside Tenrou Island, Grimoire Heart’s magic airship approached.
"Zeref is awakening. Bring him back!" Hades said from his throne, his gaze sweeping over the six figures before him and the countless masked mage soldiers behind them. Except for Azuma, who’d infiltrated Tenrou Island, the rest of the Seven Kin of Purgatory stood there.
"Ultear, Rustyrose, Capricorn, Kain Hikaru, redy, and Zancrow!" Hades called out their nas.
"It’s up to you!" Hades said.
They responded in unison.
Ultear looked at the island, conflicted. Knowing Fairy Tail’s main mbers were there, and Hades ordered their annihilation, caused her great internal struggle.
"Finn... you’re there..." Ultear whispered.
"Fairy Tail... and my dream... how do I choose?"
Ultear’s internal conflict was shattered by the shouts of her companions. The Seven Kin of Purgatory focused on sothing ahead, their eyes widening in disbelief.
"Wh... what is that?!"
"A giant?"
"Seriously?"
"So big..."
Before the airship, a figure swelled. Golden magic enveloped the giant; its golden eyes burned with rage. A suppressed roar, like thunder, ca from its massive body. Its breath created strong winds that lashed the sea.
The giant grew to the sa height as the airship. Everyone saw its face: Makarov Dreyar! Fairy Tail’s third master.
"Get lost!" Imnse magic erupted, changing the sky’s color. Gasps echoed across the airship. Even Hades, Grimoire Heart’s master, was briefly shocked.
But it vanished instantly, a smile playing on his lips.
"Heh, Makarov..." he chuckled, seemingly mocking the giant, but also trying to reassure his fearful subordinates.
anwhile, on the other side of the island, Erza, flying with Nancy, saw the giant figure before Tenrou Island.
"That’s the Master!" Erza recognized him instantly.
"A giant?!" Nancy gasped, never having seen Makarov like this.
Erza nodded. "That’s our Master, giant Makarov!"
"He’s facing Grimoire Heart."
"Should we help?" Nancy asked.
Erza thought for a mont, shaking her head. "Finn’s already gone to the Master. Let’s find Wendy first."
Nancy looked to the side, uncertain. "Sounds like an explosion over there."
"Let’s go!" Erza said.
"Right!" Nancy flew towards the explosion with Erza.

A few minutes earlier, on a Tenrou Island cliff, a figure slowly ’extended’ from a tree. It seed like part of the tree; then it separated and stood before Wendy and the others.

After the initial shock, st laughed. Seeing Wendy’s confusion, st no longer hid his identity.
To Wendy’s disbelief, st explained everything. He was a mber of the newly ford Council. He’d infiltrated to find information to destroy Fairy Tail.
Unexpectedly, Grimoire Heart appeared. But, just in case, the Council had a magic warship hidden near Tenrou Island.
With reinforcents, st wasn’t afraid of Azuma. He was excited about his upcoming achievent.
However, he underestimated Grimoire Heart, or the Council underestimated this guild, one of the three pillars of the dark world.
BOOM————
The Council’s fleet exploded violently. The roar stunned st.
"Is that all?" Azuma said emotionlessly, his tone full of mockery. "Council officials, you’re so naive."
Shaking his head, Azuma ignored the stunned st. He looked around. "Two cats, a child..."
He sighed. "You’re too weak."
"All of you, stand back!" Lily stepped in front of Wendy, his jaw clenched. Lily spread his wings, fist clenched, attacking Azuma.
Azuma raised a hand.
"Explosion!"
Magic erupted, creating a massive explosion that engulfed Lily.
"Lily!" Wendy cried out in worry.
The explosion cleared; Lily, still in a punching pose, had taken the hit.
Lily’s tightly clenched fist smashed into Azuma’s jaw, the imnse force sending him flying. However, even after taking the direct hit, Azuma’s expression remained unchanged. With a single, swift movent of his hand, he unleashed a torrent of magical particles, shimring with light, that surrounded Lily. Instantly, a powerful explosion engulfed Lily once more.
Seeing the perilous situation, Wendy imdiately sprang into action, utilizing her own magic to bolster Lily’s defenses. The enhancent to both Lily’s attack power and speed elevated his combat capabilities to a whole new level. The battle raged on, locked in a fierce stalemate.
Wendy then turned her gaze towards st, a daring plan forming in her mind. She would utilize st’s teleportation magic to unleash a devastating Sky Dragon’s Roar at point-blank range against Azuma!
"Wh... what kind of foolish idea is that? I’m a mber of the Council..." st responded, his voice laced with disbelief and confusion. He couldn’t comprehend Wendy’s request, considering his mission was to gather intel to destroy her guild.
"I don’t care! I won’t let anyone destroy the guild!" Wendy shouted, her voice filled with unwavering determination.
Wendy’s impassioned declaration left st montarily stunned. Under the weight of Wendy’s sincere and determined gaze, st finally relented.
Seizing the opportunity while Azuma’s attention was fully focused on Lily, st swiftly teleported himself and Wendy to Azuma’s side.
However, Azuma proved to be a formidable opponent. He endured Wendy’s powerful Roar without flinching and retaliated instantly, sending all three of them flying. Even Lily, montarily taken aback by the ferocity of Azuma’s counterattack, was struck and sent crashing to the ground.
Despair washed over the trio.
