The sound of things falling and a little girl’s cry echoed simultaneously.
Finn instinctively turned his head. He saw various household items scattered on the ground, and a little girl with blue hair lying on the pavent.
Finn placed the cake on the ground and quickly helped the girl to her feet.
As he brushed the dust from her clothes, before he could even speak, the girl bowed deeply. "Oh, I’m so sorry, I’m so sorry! I stacked my things too high, and I didn’t see you coming. I’m so sorry..."
The little girl spoke very quickly, seemingly frightened, her voice tinged with a slight sob.
"It’s alright, it’s my fault. I was too focused on our conversation and didn’t notice you," Finn said, helping to gather the scattered items.
"Here, these are all yours, right?" he said, handing the collected items to the girl.
The little girl bowed politely. "Thank you, big brother."
Seeing the girl’s politeness, Finn couldn’t resist ruffling her hair. She reminds of Lisanna, he thought, rembering Lisanna’s own polite and kind nature.
Finn looked around. "Are you all alone?"
The girl shook her head. "Carla’s with , but she’s still shopping, so it’s just right now."
"I see," Finn said, standing up. "Would you like to wait with you for your friend?"
Finn asked out of concern; it seed unsafe for a young girl to be alone on the street.
The girl shook her head. "It’s okay, Carla will be here any minute."
"Eh?" Suddenly, the girl seed to realize sothing and asked, "Big brother, are you Finn, the Fairy Tail wizard?"
"Uh? You know ?" Finn asked, surprised.
The girl said excitedly, "Yes! I saw you in Magic Weekly! I can’t believe I’m eting you in person!"
"They say you’re a very strong wizard!" The girl’s eyes sparkled with admiration.
"Oh, haha!" Finn scratched the back of his head, realizing he’d encountered a young fan. He noticed the emblem on her left shoulder.
"That’s the rmaid Heel guild mark, isn’t it? So you’re a wizard too."
The girl smiled shyly.
"Could you tell your na?" Finn asked gently.
The girl placed her belongings on the ground and extended her hand. "Big brother Finn, I’m Wendy Marvell, a wizard from rmaid Heel."
Finn shook her hand. "It’s a pleasure to et you, Wendy. I’m Finn, a wizard from Fairy Tail!"
"Wendy! Why are you shaking hands with a male?!" A sharp, exasperated voice cut through the air.
Finn turned towards the source of the voice, his eyes widening in surprise. "Th-that’s...a cat...?"
A white cat wearing a dress and a pink bow on its tail quickly approached from behind Wendy.
"Carla, it’s okay. This is big brother Finn from Fairy Tail! He’s a very famous wizard! I accidentally bumped into him," Wendy explained, trying to calm her companion.
"But even so, you shouldn’t be so unguarded!" Carla scolded Wendy, her tone like that of a concerned mother.
Wendy could only offer an awkward smile in response.
After a mont of silence, Carla sighed. "Wendy, you must always be vigilant when you’re alone. You were lucky to have t a kind person this ti, but you might not be so fortunate next ti."
"I...I understand, Carla," Wendy replied softly.
Seeing that Wendy’s friend had arrived, Finn said, "Wendy, since your friend is here, I should get going. Feel free to visit Fairy Tail soti if you have the chance."
He then turned to Carla. "Carla, you’re welco to co visit too. We have a blue cat just like you in our guild."
Those two cats must be the sa breed, Finn thought to himself.
"Okay, thank you, big brother Finn! I’ll definitely visit if I have the chance!" Wendy said with a bright smile.
"If Wendy’s going, I’ll go too. But I’m not interested in your guild’s male cats," Carla declared, folding her arms across her chest and adopting a haughty expression.
"Alright then, I’ll be off now. See you next ti!" Finn gave a brief wave before picking up the cake and turning to leave.
"Goodbye, big brother Finn!" Wendy waved her hand enthusiastically, her eyes sparkling with excitent. Once Finn was out of sight, she turned to Carla, her voice brimming with excitent. "Carla, I actually t big brother Finn!"
"He’s a really famous and incredibly strong wizard!" Wendy exclaid, her fists clenched and her cheeks flushed with excitent, behaving much like a starstruck fan.
Carla sighed and rubbed her forehead in exasperation. "Really, Wendy? Was it really necessary to get so worked up about it?"
"I’m sorry, Carla."
"Wendy, you don’t need to apologize every ti. That kind of behavior will only make people underestimate you."
"Sorry..."
"Sigh...she’s hopeless..."

Early the next morning, Finn, Erza, and Mirajane arrived at the Fairy Tail guild hall.
"Wow, this is the first ti I’ve seen you this early," Mirajane remarked, a hint of surprise in her voice. She was well-acquainted with Finn’s usual habits, which involved sleeping in until very late in the day.
"The Master asked to co early this morning. He said he needed to talk to about sothing," Finn explained, the mory of Makarov’s mysterious request from the previous night flashing through his mind.
He had tried to get Makarov to explain the matter the night before, but to no avail, forcing Finn to sacrifice his precious sleep and wake up early.
Erza, walking alongside them, mused aloud, "I suspect it’s about the Ten Wizard Saints selection. Ever since the formation of the new Magic Council, that’s been the topic of much discussion."
"Many people are voicing their support for you to be selected as one of the Ten Wizard Saints. Aside from that, I can’t think of any other significant matter that would require such an early eting," Erza added.
"Hmm? Actually, I’ve been wondering where all these rumors are coming from. Why haven’t I heard anything about this myself?" Finn expressed his confusion.
Jason had also known about the nomination and had even posed a question about it during the interview, yet Finn himself remained completely unaware of his nomination for the Ten Wizard Saints.
"I think it’s probably because you don’t pay attention to the news," Mirajane offered as an explanation.
"That’s probably true," Finn conceded. "But honestly, what’s there to pay attention to in the news? Sotis, they even report on things like an old lady’s cat going missing." Finn couldn’t resist voicing his criticism of the kingdom’s news departnt.
They really did report on just about anything. If it were his previous life, such news would only be considered worthy of the sensationalist sections, never in the mainstream news intended for the general public.
However, Erza’s words did give Finn pause for thought. "The Magic Council, huh?" Ever since the Tower of Heaven incident, the previous Magic Council had been dissolved due to their reckless decision to deploy the ultimate weapon. A new council had been ford to replace them.
Even with a new council in place, the fact that they would nominate him for the Ten Wizard Saints still ca as a surprise to Finn. After all, as he had ntioned before, having two Ten Wizard Saints within the sa guild might well provoke discontent among other guilds. The council would surely take such factors into consideration.
Finn, however, didn’t place much importance on such matters. After all, he had already personally defeated several Ten Wizard Saints, rendering the title rather aningless to him.
"The Ten Wizard Saints, huh? If that’s really the case, then with two Ten Wizard Saints in our guild, Fairy Tail would undoubtedly be the strongest guild in Fiore," Mirajane said, her voice filled with a sense of longing and aspiration.
"But haven’t we always been the strongest?" Erza questioned, stroking her chin thoughtfully.
"That’s very true!" Mirajane’s eyes curved into crescent moons, her happiness evident.
Soon, the trio arrived at the Fairy Tail guild hall.
"Is the Master here?" Finn asked.
Cana, her speech slightly slurred from intoxication, replied, "The Master...he hasn’t arrived yet...Finn, co join for a drink! Co on!" She gestured towards him with a playful beckoning of her finger.
"Cana, I’m going to get really angry if you don’t stop," Mirajane said sternly, her arms akimbo, clearly displeased with Cana’s behavior.
Cana waved her hand dismissively. "Hmph, how boring."
Seeing Cana in such a state of inebriation at such an early hour, Finn couldn’t help but suspect that she hadn’t even bothered to go ho the previous night and had instead spent the entire night drinking within the guild hall.
She was undeniably a serious alcoholic.
"But really, the Master is such a flake. He made co in early, and he’s not even here," Finn comnted, shaking his head in exasperation at the Master’s unreliability.
"Finn, it’s rare to see you this early. How about a long-awaited rematch?" Just as the three were engaged in conversation, Natsu’s voice rang out from behind them.
Finn imdiately felt a warm sensation on the back of his neck.
Turning around, he saw Natsu brimming with enthusiasm. "Fighting this early in the morning is really annoying!" Finn sighed wearily.
"I don’t care!" Morning Natsu was demonstrably more energetic and boisterous than his dayti counterpart.
He launched himself at Finn, fists raised.
Finn sighed, rubbing his temples in exasperation. With his other hand, he quickly delivered a swift punch to Natsu’s forehead.
Bang————
A loud thud echoed through the guild hall as Natsu collapsed to the ground, a large bump forming on his forehead.
"Natsu vs. Finn, Finn wins!" Happy announced solemnly, walking past with a sign.
"Oh, right, Happy, I saw a white cat yesterday, the sa breed as you!" Finn said, rembering Carla from the previous day.
"Really?! Finn, you’re not pulling my leg, are you?" Happy’s wings fluttered excitedly as he flew towards Finn, his eyes wide with anticipation. After all, since his birth, he had never encountered another cat of the sa breed as himself.
"Of course not. But she’s quite arrogant," Finn replied, recalling Carla’s haughty deanor.
"Where? Where is she?!" Upon receiving confirmation, Happy’s excitent intensified, his questions fired off in rapid succession.
"She seems to be from the rmaid Heel guild. You could go visit her soti if you have the chance," Finn suggested.
"rmaid Heel, huh?" Happy murmured to himself. "Finn, do you think I should bring a gift? What should I bring? Would fish be a good idea?" Happy continued to mutter to himself, lost in thought.
"Haha, that’s up to you," Finn chuckled, gently patting Happy on the head.
Catching sight of Makarov, leaning heavily on his cane, descending the stairs, Finn greeted him. "Master, you’re here."
Makarov was dressed exceptionally formally today, wearing the official uniform of a Ten Wizard Saint, complete with the distinctive cape draped over his shoulders.
His aged white hair was ticulously combed, and his overall appearance conveyed a sense of renewed energy and vigor.
"Master, what’s with the attire?" Finn asked, his curiosity piqued by Makarov’s unusual appearance.
Makarov smiled at Finn. "You’ve beco quite sothing, kid. But ti is of the essence. Let’s head to the council imdiately."
