Mirajane opened her mouth to speak, but before she could, a furious dragon's roar echoed across the vast distant sky.
Everyone fell silent, their gazes turning toward the distance.
In the rolling dark clouds far away, a massive figure seed to be speeding toward them.
Laxus focused his gaze, sensing the imnse presence of the creature, and said in surprise.
"Is that the Dragon Knight you ntioned?"
Gildarts scratched his head in confusion. "No, that's not it. The armor doesn't fly that fast, does it?"
"Then what is it?"
"EVERYONE—GET—DOWN—!"
Just as everyone was puzzled, a familiar shout drifted faintly from the distant giant figure.
BOOM!
Everyone instinctively ducked low at the sound, and the monstrous creature shot past just above their heads like a cannonball.
Its speed was so extre that it created a sonic boom in the air.
"Is that a dragon?"
Laxus was the first to raise his head, staring at the dark figure rapidly climbing upward in total surprise.
It was an extrely bizarre, dragon-like monster.
Its limbs were thick and powerful, with crystalline, ice-like scales covering its dragon claws.
Its torso was seamlessly stitched together in clashing shades of crimson red and ice blue, while its spread wings were actually engulfed in rolling flas.
Even more horrifying was how the monster's dragon head appeared divided by a perfect boundary line—one side dark red, the other blue—with the color division on its body perfectly aligning with that on its head.
From a distance, it looked completely unlike any creature that could naturally exist, appearing much more like a product of mad laboratory experints.
Mirajane was the first to clearly see the figure riding the dragon monster, pointing and exclaiming.
"It's Ankh! Ankh is on its back!"
At her shout, everyone finally saw it.
Ankh was currently using all his strength to grip the evil dragon's neck with both arms, desperately trying to restrain its continuous upward climb.
The ferocious dragon head kept roaring loudly.

Ankh ears itching from the thunderous dragon roars, and he couldn't contain his irritation any longer.
He stepped onto the dragon's body and leaped high into the air.
"So annoying! Death God's... Devouring Fist!"
Dark energy, thicker and darker than the blackest night sky, gathered around his fist as Ankh roared and struck downward.
The destructive punch landed directly on the dragon's head, with Ankh once again demonstrating Fairy Tail's signature silencing face-smashing technique.
The dragon head drooped like limp mud, and the entire massive body followed the trendous force crashing toward the ground.
BOOM—!
The dragon crashed into Extalia like a teor, destroying what remained of the already devastated city.
Ankh gracefully descended from the sky, landing with a perfect superhero-style entrance.
Laxus looked puzzled at the man showing off and said.
"Hey! Ankh, weren't you chasing the king? Did this dragon stop you?"
Ankh turned to see the main Fairy Tail group gathered here.
Pointing his thumb back at the massive evil dragon slowly rising from the rubble, he said.
"No. This is what I was chasing."
Gildarts widened his eyes, looking up at the colossal creature before them, hesitantly asking, "You an..."
"Yes." Ankh assud a fighting stance, facing the now-recovering evil dragon, and stated firmly.
"This dragon is the king, Faust."
