Darwin agreed to help Zeref find release, though he chose to set the ti for one day later. This was because they first needed to complete one task: working together to rewrite the Book of END.

On the second day of Weston and Zeref’s visit, in the drawing room of Darwin’s ho. The group of three sat in the sa positions once again, in the sa postures.

"I’m curious about one thing. Zeref, didn’t you create the Book of END? Why don’t you rewrite it yourself instead of asking my old man for help?"

"It is precisely because I created it that I cannot be the one to do it!"

Zeref explained, "What you call the ’Books of Demons’ actually store all the information regarding that demon. Their appearance, voice, abilities, personality, strength... all data is written using my magic and recorded in the book."

"This is the underlying logic of ’Life Creation Magic’!"

"During this process, the magic within the book will continuously erode the rewriter’s body, assimilating them into a demon. Therefore, the rewriter must also possess powerful magic to resist this erosion."

"If an ordinary person were to attempt this, there would be only one outco: the content wouldn’t be changed, and they themselves would be turned into a demon."

Darwin nodded silently. If that were truly the case, his old father was indeed the best candidate for the job! Weston’s strength was great, and his magical knowledge was profound enough; he could certainly find the locations and succeed in the rewriting before being eroded by the magic.

Over a minute later, the strong wind finally stopped. By now, the magical script from the book filled the entire room, turning into rings of varying angles that floated quietly in the air.

Zeref’s gaze swept around, and he imdiately discovered the sections that needed rewriting. He raised a finger and pointed out seven or eight locations: "Change the **** here to ****, then change the * to ****, and here, here, and here..."

Weston looked over and found that the positions Zeref pointed out were indeed all related to the connection between the demon’s existence and the creator’s life. After confirming that the altered content would not cause trouble for humans or Natsu, he slowly lifted his pen and began rewriting the rings of magical script in the air with great care.
