Once Charles activated his Dragonblood Mode, he exploded with astonishing speed. Filvis had to focus with all her might just to keep up.
To everyone else, it was just a blur—two shadows, one red and one white, colliding over and over.
Charles tilted his head to dodge a stab from Filvis's dagger, and threw a punch that she narrowly avoided.
"Purge the wicked, sacred rod—Divine Bacchus's Staff!"
They were too close. The lightning Filvis released struck Charles directly in the chest.
But to her astonishnt, steam rose from his chest and the damage instantly healed.
While Filvis was still stunned, Charles closed in and delivered a knifehand strike that severed her arm.
She retreated, and grotesque flesh squird at the wound on her arm. On a beautiful girl, it was an incredibly disturbing sight.
But in the blink of an eye, a smooth, delicate arm regenerated in its place.
Without a word exchanged, the two rushed at each other again.
While charging, Filvis scooped up the dagger that had fallen with her severed arm.
She slashed repeatedly, every strike aid at Charles's vitals.
Charles's regeneration was thanks to the power of the dragon, but it still didn't compare to Filvis's monstrous physique.
So he had to block where necessary. But Filvis, relying on her monster body, didn't even bother dodging Charles's counters.
Once, his flas burned her head down to the bone—but a mont later, she was fully restored.
The fight reached a stalemate. anwhile, the other battlefront was also dire.
If the female-type corrupted spirit clone was magic-specialized, then the Heavenly Bull was physically specialized.
Gareth's war axe, which could crush earth itself, only left a shallow gash on the Heavenly Bull's body.
The massive counterforce launched Gareth through the air. Landing hard, he shook off the numbness in his hands and said, "Tough bastard!"
The Heavenly Bull stomped its foreleg down, aiming for Gareth.
"Wind!"
Activating Ariel, Ais sprinted up the bull's leg and struck at the female figure atop it.
But corrupted spirits weren't without magic just because they were physically inclined.
At the mont of Ais's attack, the corrupted spirit chanted a short spell. A lightning spear shot out.
Though Ais sliced it apart, she was blown away.
The Amazon twins charged past her and launched an assault on the bull.
Its foreleg whipped out and clashed with their weapons.
Though they looked like ants compared to the giant beast, the sisters managed to hold their ground.
Bete leapt into the air, igniting his tal boots with a magic sword.
His fla-clad kick landed on the bull's head, forcing the colossal monster to rear up.
Finn didn't participate in the fight; instead, he observed the battlefield.
His thumb had been throbbing the entire ti—not because of the Heavenly Bull itself, but because he sensed sothing more dangerous hidden by Dionysus.
Riveria had begun chanting, preparing a wide-area annihilation spell to shift the tide.
Sensing a threat, the Heavenly Bull turned toward her and charged.
But the Loki Familia wouldn't let it succeed.
"From my heart's sea of desire, from my heart's sea of hope—fate descends. Lose thy form, forsake thy fangs, beco the serpent king. Penetrate the sea, cross the land, upend the world. Command fate, defy fate, trample fate! Instant Petrification!"
The voice belonged to Tione. The spell was her magic, Jormungandr.
It was a binding spell with a chance-based success rate, depending on her magic power.
This ti, Tione lucked out. By all logic, her chances against the Heavenly Bull's magic power should've been slim. But it worked.
Jormungandr's power was that once triggered, the effect was absolute.
The giant beast froze in place, as if petrified. The others wasted no ti.
"Tione, great job!"
Gareth roared with laughter and swung his axe. Tiona followed up, slashing down with her twin blades.
A massive X-shaped wound tore across the Heavenly Bull. Then Bete struck.
It was deep into the night, with the bright moon overhead—perfect conditions for Bete to activate his skill Moonlight Howl.
Letting out a piercing howl, his fur stood on end, and his eyes turned blood-red.
"Die!"
He stomped down on the bull's open wound, sending fragnts of its green innards flying.
Then he imdiately retreated—Riveria's chant had reached its climax.
Riveria was Orario's most powerful mage, not only mastering Concurrent Chanting, but also combining ultra-short, short, and long spells to unleash devastatingly powerful magic through linked incantations.
She now released her magic—High Victory Sword.
A flaming sword struck the Heavenly Bull and pierced it completely.
When the flas dissipated, half its body had been obliterated.
Yet as a monster, its magic stone remained intact. Even with such severe wounds, it began to regenerate.
But the Loki Familia wouldn't give it the chance.
Ais appeared before it, her despair sword stabbing directly into its exposed magic stone.
Finn didn't look at the defeated Heavenly Bull—he looked instead at Dionysus, who still seed calm and unaffected.
To remain so composed at this point was, in itself, suspicious.
Dionysus applauded. "Marvelous. Truly marvelous. No wonder you're called the Giant Slayers, Loki Familia.
"It's because of people like you that Orario has remained such a boring place. But don't worry—starting tonight, Orario will enter a new era."
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
A series of massive explosions erupted across Orario. Fire illuminated the entire night sky.
Finn bit his thumb. "What did you do?"
Dionysus wore a blissful expression. "Listen. Isn't that the most beautiful sound?"
Everyone heard it—a song-like chant echoed across Orario.
Riveria's expression changed dramatically. "Finn, this is a spell. A magic chant even more terrifying than an ultra-long one. I don't know exactly what kind, but judging by the magic surging around us—it could level all of Orario."
Finn turned back to Dionysus. "So this… this is your real plan?"
