"Damn… That woman is crazy.' Laxus said after feeling the change in temperature in the Hargeon recreation. "Just how many people did she eliminate with that one spell?"
"I think you have more important things to worry about." A female voice said from Laxus' right.
*Smack!!* x 2
In response, without even turning to look at the speaker, Laxus raised both his hands and caught a fist and a foot that were aid at his temple and ribs respectively.
"I was actually looking forward to running into the two of you." Laxus aid, sa battle hungry grin spreading across his face. "Because of you two, I was eliminated at the end of the Grand magic Ga event two years ago."
The two Laxus was referring to were Yoruichi and Sui-Feng, who tried to sneak attack him with a punch and a kick, respectively. On top of that, they were both already using their [Shunko] to augnt their power. However, with Laxus properties as a Dragon Slayer and his powerful physical body, their attacks did little more than ruffle his hair because of the wind the attacks produced.
"And now, I'm gonna get myself a little revenge for that humiliation.
*Swoosh!*
With that said, Laxus swung his arms, sending both Yoruichi and Sui-Feng flying in opposite directions. He then reached behind his back and pulled Elexion out of its holder and held the large halberd in front of him.
anwhile, both Yoruichi and Sui-Feng were able to right themselves midair before pressing their feet on the walls of the buildings they were flung towards. Then, with all the speed they could muster, they both kicked off the buildings, leaving craters in the walls, and sped back towards Laxus to continue their attacks.
"[Bow Down to the King of Lightning, Elexion]." Laxus chanted as his magic power spiked, and his halberd began to glow.
"Damn… He's releasing his [Soul Armant]." Yoruichi groaned as she turned her body and did her best to stop her forward montum.
"So what if he does?" Sui-Feng, determined to defeat Laxus once again for Yoruichi's sake, drew her Zanpakuto, Suzubachi, from the sheath on her lower back. "[Sting All Enemies to Death, Suzubachi]."
Just like Laxus, Sui-Feng also released her Zanpakuto. However, unlike Yoruichi, she did not slow down, charging straight towards Laxus while thrusting the newly ford blade on her middle finger at him.
*Clang!*
However, before Sui-Feng could land her attack, Laxus swung his right arm, in which he held a short halberd. And if one were to look down the shaft, they would find that there was a chain connected to the butt of the short halberd that connected to an identical halberd in his other hand.
"Tch! I was supposed to use this against Alfonzo a couple of days ago." Laxus said in an irritated tone. "This should have really surprised him after he saw the other form of my partial release in the Kingdom of Caelum. But Lici ssed that up for with her swift attack at the beginning of the match."
["Yes, it would have been a worthy ti to show off the Lightning Dragon King's new power."] Elexion said from Laxus' inner world. ["But not only you, I also underestimated Elicia too much. And that was just the price to pay for our arrogance. But I believe gaining retribution against those who defeated us last ti will make up for that oversight."]
At the sa ti, while e muttered to himself, Laxus threw the other halberd he was holding at Yoruichi. And to her surprise, the chain connecting the two weapons elongated as it flew towards her.
"Sothing tells letting that chain wrap around would be a bad idea." Yoruichi said to herself as she forcefully kicked off the ground to avoid the halberd flying towards her.
*Crack!* *Zap!* *Boom!*
Then, as if to prove her words right, Yoruichi watched as the spiked end of the halberd and the entire head of the weapon sank into the wall she just kicked off of. Then, she opened her eyes wide in shock when she saw the lightning that was discharged from the imbedded weapon that electrified the entire building before it exploded into rubble.
"Yea, that's definitely dangerous." Yoruichi said to herself as she returned her gaze to Laxus.
With that, a high-speed lee began between Laxus, Yoruichi, and Sui-Feng. And the flashes from their spells, mostly Laxus', could be seen from all over the town.
anwhile, Alfonzo, who had been monitoring the entire battlefield with his [Magic Power Detection], raised an eyebrow when he felt sothing different from Laxus' [soul Armant] release.
"Hmm… I thought those weird gauntlets were strange for his release." Alfonzo thought to himself. "I wonder what his new release looks like."
*Bang!*
"Hey, that was really rude." Alfonzo said without looking up from what he was building. "Can't you see that I'm trying to work?"
The sound of collision that was just heard was caused by a [Rock Fist] slamming into one of Alfonzo's [Archive Magic Screens] that he moved to intercept the attack. And standing at the end of the [Rock Fist], which ca from the marina, was Jura.
"My apologies." Jura said with a small smile on his lips. "But I've been looking forward to fighting you again ever since we had our spar at the Lamia Scale guild hall. Unfortunately, last year was the only ti you participated in the Grand Magic Gas. And I did not get the chance to fight you in last year's Gas at all. So, I could not pass up the opportunity."
"Co on, Man." Alfonzo said, slightly whining in reply. "I'm on a ti crunch here. I really don't have ti for this."
"Well then, you should make this quick if you would like to get back to work." Jura replied in a teasing tone. "Because I do not intend to take no for an answer."
"*Sigh* If that's what you want." Alfonzo said while shaking his head as he stood up from his chair. "You know, if you had left well enough alone, you could have gotten so more points for your team. But now, you're just gonna get embarrassed in front of a crowd."
And just as Alfonzo said, while he was monitoring the battlefield, he had already sense Jura defeating Genma, Yukino, and Orga on his way here, netting his team 3 Pts.
In the next instant, Alfonzo vanished from where he stood with the use of [Shave]. When he reappeared, he was standing in front of Jura with his right food shooting up towards the older wizard's chin.
*Bang!*
And thanks to Alfonzo's ridiculous speed, Jura was unable to get up a defense against Alfonzo's kick. As a result, he was shot straight up into the air with his head snapped back. Then, in the next instant, Alfonzo once again vanished before reappearing behind Jura with his arms wrapped around Jura's arms and torso.
"I haven't used this move in a long ti." Alfonzo muttered to himself as he tightened his grip and began to spin.
Then, while spinning, Alfonzo reoriented himself and Jura, so they were upside down.
*Zap!*
*Boom!*
Less than a second later, after using his [Electromagnetism Magic] to speed up his fall and electrocute his opponent, Jura was driven head first into the ground before he was teleported out of the town. anwhile, Alfonzo shot out of the crater created by the collision and returned to the chair he left on the peer.
"I'll spar with you properly next ti, Jura." Alfonzo said as he took his seat once again. "But I really am in a hurry this ti."
{"Incredible!"} Lola shouted, his voice echoing throughout the Domus Flau. {"Even though he seems completely uninterested in this event, Alfonzo Marcus has once again put on a show of dominance, defeating another of the Ten Wizard Saints with little effort."}
{"Indeed."} Yajima replied with a nod. {"That was quite impressive. It's been a long ti since I've seen a Wizard Saint defeated so easily."}
{"Well, Alfonzo Marcus is one of the strongest wizards on the continent."} Arcadios pointed out. {"And with speed like his, it's no wonder Jura was caught off guard. Still, to see such a powerful wizard defeated so easily is quite the sight."}
Not only the comntators, but most of the crowd was surprised to see the ease with which Alfonzo dealt with Jura. The Fairy Tail wizards, on the other hand, were not surprised.
"Well, that's what he gets for interrupting Alfonzo while he was working." Irene said with a beautiful smile spread across her face. "He'll probably think twice before ever doing that again, won't he?"
"*Sigh* I just wish he would have taken it a little easier." Mavis said while shaking her head. "Lamia Scale is one of our allies. I don't want them to feel humiliated."
"I don't think you need to worry about that." Gildarts said with a shrug. "Ooba Babasama will understand."
anwhile, not far away from the older mbers of the guild, Wendy was pulling on Lee's sleeve with an excited expression on her face.
"See, I told you Alfonzo has a move that looks a lot like your [Primary Lotus]." Wendy said energetically.
"Yes, it's basically the sa technique." Lee replied with a nod and an excited expression of his own. "Guy-Sensei was right! Alfonzo's youth s truly awe-inspiring!"
Hearing that, Wendy could not help but smile wryly. Although she had truly fallen in love with Lee over the years, the whole "youth" thing he and Guy were so into could get rather tireso.
anwhile, Carla, who was sitting with happy, frowned at Lee's shouting. Like Wendy, she also found the whole "youth" thing tireso. However, because she had no intention of trying to put up with it. But since she did not want to upset Wendy, she just kept her thoughts about it to herself.
"Carla, what's wrong?" happy asked innocently. "Is the fish not good?"
"I don't care about the fish, Happy." Carla said in a slightly sharper tone than usual. "You know I don't even like fish that much."
"Oh, I forgot." Happy said bashfully while scratching his head. A mont later, however, his eyes lit up with the light of a good idea. "Well, if you don't' want it, I don't mind finishing it for you."
"That was your plan all along, wasn't it?" Carla asked with narrowed eyes.
Instead of replying, Happy did his best to look cute. And Carla, being just as in love with Happy as Wendy was with Lee, only rolled her eyes. Then, she tore off a piece of the fish she was holding and fed it to her boyfriend.
anwhile, back in the town, Cana finally caught up to Laxus, who was still engaging in combat with both Yoruichi and Sui-Feng.
"Finally." Cana said in a nacing tone as she drew a handful of cards from her card pouch. "I can finally make you pay for hurting Alfonzo. [Deal the Cards, Hoyle]."
With her chant, Cana's magic power spiked. She then drew a handful of cards from the pouch on her other hip and looked at the two hands she had drawn.
"[Two Pair]." Cana chanted as she threw out the playing cards in her right hand. She then followed up by slapping the cards in her left onto her chest. "[Card Magic: Lightning Dash, Power Enhancent]."
*Boom!*
*Boom!* x 4
In the next instant, Cana vanished from where she stood, the power of her dash destroying the rooftop she was standing on. Then, she sped towards Yoruichi and threw a devastating right hook that landed on the unsuspecting rmaid heel Ace's left cheek and sent her flying through several buildings, causing them to collapse as she passed through.
"Damn it, Cana!" Laxus growled in irritation. "don't get in the way!"
"Bite , Laxus!" Cana shouted back as she chased after Yoruichi. "I've got a score to settle with this bitch. And if you know better, you won't try to stop ."
"How dare you!" Sui-Feng shouted, enraged at what Cana just called her lady and the sneak attack. "I'll make you pay for that!"
*Clang!*
"Hey, did you forget about , or sothing?" Laxus, though he was annoyed, decided to keep Sui-Feng from interfering. "I'd suggest you keep your eyes on the opponent in front of you. Otherwise, you'll end up getting knocked around just like she did."
Gritting her teeth in anger, Sui-Feng stared at Laxus with a promise of retribution in her eyes. However, Laxus seed to be unbothered. Although Yoruichi, the one who delivered the actual blow that eliminated him last ti they fought had been taken away by Cana, Sui-Feng caused him a lot of trouble two years ago, as well. So, taking care of her would not be so bad, either.
