Why was Makarov here?

Of course, it was because of Marco.

He had been following Marco all the way—from Magnolia to Crocus, to the forest and now here.

He had been by Marco's side the entire ti.

After all, this was Marco's first real mission outside, his first ti venturing far from Magnolia and away from Fairy Tail.

As the guild master and as a grandfather, Makarov couldn't help but worry.

So he followed Marco quietly, protecting him from the shadows.

Of course, Marco had perford exceptionally well, showing remarkable maturity and didn't needed Makarov's intervention, which greatly reassured him.

This wasn't Makarov playing favorites with his youngest grandson.

In fact, he had been just as concerned every ti one of the children went on their first mission.

He would always secretly follow them.

This old man truly cared deeply for everyone.

"Don't dwell on the details, Marco. Right now, we need to deal with this problem. As that boy said, this thing is extrely dangerous. We absolutely cannot let it be completed."

Makarov waved his hand dismissively at Marco, not explaining why he was here or how he had appeared so suddenly.

His gaze was fixed on the sky, on the black hole that seed ready to devour everything.

"AHHHH!!!"

Beside them, Jellal roared, frantically channeling magic through his staff.

Jellal was at his wit's end.

Earlier, it had just been Marco, but now an old man had joined the fray.

The worst part was that neither of them was willing to flee.

This made Jellal, who didn't want to drag others into this, even more anxious—because he absolutely could not afford to fail now.

If there had been no one else around, Jellal would have accepted failure, believing he had done his best.

But with others present, he couldn't bear the thought of failing and seeing them die because of it.

His conscience wouldn't allow it.

"Marco! On my mark! Channel your magic power into that magic circle together!"

Observing the fluctuations and changes in the magic power in the sky, Makarov focused intently and shouted, giving Marco a clear instruction.

"Understood!"

With an expert here, Marco naturally followed orders without question.

He had complete faith in Makarov's knowledge, experience and abilities.

The best course of action was to follow the old man's lead!

"Three, two, one, now!"

Makarov studied the magic circle, seized the perfect mont and swiftly released his magic power, pouring it into the circle.

Marco concentrated and the mont he heard Makarov's command, he didn't hesitate to unleash his Magic Power.

His magical core flared and his magic power surged rapidly, flowing into Jellal's magic circle.

Marco targeted the exact sa point Makarov had, ensuring not a single step was out of place, eliminating any chance of interference.

"Hummm!!!"

As Makarov and Marco's magic power poured into the magic circle, the situation finally began to shift.

The black hole, which had seed on the verge of crushing Jellal monts ago, imdiately reacted to the magic circle's influence.

It began to rise steadily and shrink gradually—the magic circle was finally doing its job.

Jellal's face was filled with shock.

He never expected these two could actually help, especially the old man, who had forcibly injected magic power into his magic circle!

The fact that he could do such a thing ant this old man's mastery of magic had reached a terrifying level—simply unimaginable!

Jellal himself was highly skilled in using magic circles, so the old man's feat left him utterly awestruck.

His heart swelled with deep respect for the elder.

"Humm!!!"

As the magic circle took effect, the anomalies in the sky gradually faded.

The skies returned to blue and the dark clouds dispersed.

The wind cald, the waves stilled—as if nothing had ever happened.

"Hah... Hah... Hah..."

Jellal's body went limp, barely propped up by his staff.

The intense magic power fluctuations had taken a heavy toll on him.

"Jellal, are you alright?" Marco moved closer, concern in his voice as he steadied the stubborn kid, preventing him from collapsing to the ground.

"Thank you, Marco." Jellal forced a grateful smile.

"And you, sir... Thank you both for your help. I'm truly sorry for the trouble. I should have handled this myself..."

After thanking Marco, Jellal turned to Makarov, his expression a mix of gratitude and sha.

"You stubborn child..." Makarov shook his head.

This boy was determined to shoulder everything alone—not wanting to drag others into danger, unwilling to let anyone risk their lives alongside him.

"What was that just now? Is this why you were in such a hurry to leave earlier?"

Still supporting Jellal, Marco couldn't help but ask.

That terrifying magic had been extraordinarily dangerous.

Though Marco didn't fully grasp its effects, he knew it couldn't have been anything but good.

"That... That was..."

Stamring under Marco's questioning, Jellal seed reluctant to speak—or perhaps too ashad to even put it into words.

He mumbled incoherently, unable to form a complete sentence.

"Child... You're from another world, aren't you?" Makarov suddenly spoke up, his words freezing Jellal in place.

Not just Jellal—even Marco, who was holding him, stiffened in shock.

However, Marco quickly snapped out of it.

The old man couldn't possibly be referring to him.

Considering the context and Makarov's gaze, it was clear he ant Jellal.

Marco inwardly sighed in relief.

For a split second, he'd thought his biggest secret had been exposed.

But after calming down, his expression turned peculiar as he stared at Jellal.

'This guy... With that face, is he actually a transmigrator too?'

Marco scrutinized Jellal from head to toe.

The boy did seem suspicious in many ways—that absurdly powerful staff, his body devoid of even a drop of magic power...

Honestly? He looked way more like a transmigrator than Marco himself.

"H-How did you know?!"Jellal exclaid in surprise.

After the initial shock, he directly admitted it, essentially confirming his identity.

This made Marco click his tongue in amazent.

Damn, he really is a transmigrator!

"Because I have an old friend who's been with for decades, just like you."

Makarov grinned, dropping another bombshell that left both Jellal and Marco stunned.

"How is that possible?" Jellal was dumbfounded, clearly finding it hard to believe.

anwhile, Marco gritted his teeth internally.

Just how many secrets does the old man have?
