A golden magic circle appeared beneath Warrod's feet, and a burst of light flared up.

"I leave it to you, young wizards of Fairy Tail. I believe you'll be able to face yourselves, confront yourselves, and overco every obstacle before you."

A massive pink cherry blossom tree burst out of the earth, its branches and leaves gathering around the group and lifting them.

In the next instant, it soared into the sky and flew south.

"That's amazing!" Lucy and Wendy stared down at the land below and the passing clouds.

Erza nodded. "It really is. The trees move almost like living creatures. Warrod-senpai might be humble, but his strength can't be underestimated."

Warrod's combat power fluctuated, but his Magic Power was imnse.

"I wonder if I could learn that too..." Sitting on the cherry blossom tree, Ultear rubbed her chin and murmured.

She was interested in the magic.

It felt like it could complent her Arc of Ti.

Using Arc of Ti to accelerate and manipulate plants... the more she thought about it, the better it sounded.

Raizel heard her. "If you want to learn it, just ask the First Master after we get back. She knows it."

Watching the Fairy Tail group disappear into the distance, Warrod smiled.

"Ti really does fly."

Looking at those youngsters reminded him of the days he spent with Mavis and the others.

"Mavis, your feelings have been inherited by these kids."

...

A distance of over two thousand kiloters passed in the blink of an eye.

"Look over there!" Carla called out from midair, pointing ahead.

What appeared before them was a world of solid pink ice. Even the rocks were sealed beneath it.

Ur frowned. "So literally everything has been frozen."

Even in the northern lands, it was hard to imagine this happening. It was tough to call this a natural disaster.

Ultear pointed toward a path ahead. "Sun Village should be just up there."

"All right, let's go! If we get to the village, I can eat sothing and stop feeling dizzy!" Natsu groaned.

Lucy looked at him. "Natsu, the villagers themselves are frozen solid. How could there be food?"

The group moved along the path.

Erza looked around in confusion. "According to Warrod-senpai, even the people were frozen, but I don't see anyone."

"Hm?" Natsu looked up at the giant ice sword that appeared before him.

"So huge!!!" Natsu and Happy shouted.

Standing before them were frozen giants holding weapons.

Among everyone present, Raizel was the tallest, yet he wasn't even as high as one giant's foot.

"Is this a giant village?" Erza and Kagura lifted their heads to stare at the frozen figures, their eyes wide.

"I never imagined humans this enormous could exist..."

"Even the dogs are huge!" Wendy wasn't even as tall as one of the dogs' legs.

"Anyway, the first thing we need to do is get them all out, right?" Natsu grinned, slamming his fist into his palm.

He moved fast, coating his hands in fla and blasting the giant's foot.

Ur and Gray pressed their palms against the rock and closed their eyes, feeling the magic contained within the ice.

"Arc of Ti." The lacrima floating at Ultear's side lit up.

Before long, Ultear stepped back. Her Arc of Ti was useless against this solid ice.

The Magic Power contained within it was unusual. This wasn't the kind of ice that lted through the passage of ti.

Ur opened her eyes. "I've never seen Ice Magic like this before. It's peculiar."

Gray frowned in thought. "But this feeling... it's similar to soone's magic. I just can't rember whose."

"Co on, Natsu!" The flas released from Natsu's hands grew stronger and stronger... But after a full fifteen minutes, Natsu and Happy ended up sitting on the ground weakly with their backs against the giant's foot.

"What the hell is going on here..."

...

At Ur's suggestion, the group split up to search Sun Village for clues.

Erza and Kagura went to the village entrance and studied the direction the giants were facing.

Erza murmured, "There's a problem here. Every single one of them was heading in the sa direction, and they were all carrying weapons."

"What happened in this village before it was frozen?" Kagura asked.

"Giants, weapons, ice... were the giants fighting against sothing?" She voiced her own guess.

"Or perhaps they were protecting sothing. For example... protecting the fire?"

Erza's eyes lit up, and she nodded. "That's right! The Eternal Fla! Since the village revered it as their guardian deity, they'd try to protect it from outside threats."

They reached the sa conclusion.

"In other words, the Eternal Fla must be in the opposite direction from where the giants were moving!"

Without another word, the two of them broke into a run.

"You're here too?"

When Erza and Kagura reached the place where the Eternal Fla should have been, they found Ur, Wendy, Raizel, and Ultear already there, examining a massive chunk of ice.

Ultear laughed. "Looks like you figured it out too."

Raizel pointed at the frozen "mountain of fire" before them. "This is the Eternal Fla."

Erza pointed upward. "Could it be at the summit?"

Ultear shook her head. "Already checked. It's not there. The entire mountain is frozen solid."

Erza sighed. "We thought that if we could just find the Eternal Fla, the village would go back to normal."

Ur crossed her arms. "Even if we found it, didn't Warrod tell us it had been frozen too?"

Ultear rubbed her chin and thought aloud. "Do you think Moon Drip would work?"

Ur nodded. "It might. But the amount we'd need would be massive. It isn't sothing we could gather fast."

As soone who knew Moon Drip well—the magic said to be able to undo any spell, and the one thing capable of countering her own life-risking Iced Shell—Ur understood better than most how difficult it was to gather.

...

The group returned to the village plaza to regroup as a muscular man wearing a mask over his nose and mouth walked toward Raizel's group.

"There's soone here?"

"He doesn't look like one of the villagers." Ultear and Erza watched the man warily, both sensing sothing was off.

Then a familiar face appeared behind him... and that made Erza and the others certain.

It was Jiemma, the forr master of Sabertooth—the man Natsu had defeated.

Except now his eyes were vacant, like a walking corpse.

"What's going on? Isn't this guy from Sabertooth?"

"I'm no mber of Sabertooth." The masked man spread his hands, speaking with disdain.

Raizel activated Take Over: Ogamon, stepped in front of the group, and swung the Grey Sword down.

"Everyone, get back."
