"THAT was brutal," Haru groaned, slumping beside Haneul. "If I have to hear ’sailing through the ocean’ one more ti, I swear I’m jumping overboard."

Haneul chuckled. They had just arrived at the dining hall after finishing the shoot, which dragged on past 1 o’clock—almost too late for lunch. That was probably why, the mont the staff announced the end of the shoot, all the contestants in their batch headed straight for the dining hall.

To his surprise, only their batch and one other were in the dining hall. He doubted they were the only ones who had finished filming—especially since the top 10 were nowhere to be seen. That could only an one thing: the top 10 had wrapped up long before them and had already eaten lunch. He’s not sure about the other batches, though.

"I don’t think you have to worry about hearing the the song again anyti soon," he said, recalling Haru’s complaint. He picked up kimchi with his chopsticks and put it on his rice before adding, "I doubt the next mission will have anything to do with it."

From what he rembered of Boys Odyssey in his previous world, the the song wouldn’t be perford again until the finale, when the top 10 and the eliminated contestants reunited on stage.

Haru grabbed a piece of chicken with his bare hand and took a big bite. "Hophfmm—that’sh r’lly th’ cashe," he mumbled through a mouthful.

"Haru, don’t talk with your mouth full," Haneul chided, his voice tinged with gentle exasperation. Being around Haru always felt like he’s with his younger sister—maybe that’s why he felt so at ease with him.

Haru swallowed his bite of chicken before grinning. "Yes, hyung," he said with playful obedience.

Haneul simply shook his head and focused back on his al. He had barely taken a few bites when he felt several eyes on him, most of them lingering on his face. He suppressed a sigh. Since Haru had pulled him here the mont they finished filming, he hadn’t gotten the chance to change clothes or wipe off his makeup. But maybe because he was just as hungry, he hadn’t put up much of a fight and let Haru drag him along.

Now, he was starting to regret it—just a little. Then again, it wasn’t like he could hide behind his glasses forever. Still, the attention made him uncomfortable. This was only the fourth day of filming, and he wasn’t used to being watched so openly, especially by other contestants. He knew why, of course—his face stood out too much, and in an industry obsessed with looks, that was enough to draw stares. But knowing didn’t make it any less easy to accept.

For now, he still preferred the comfort of his glasses. As soon as he got back to his cabin, he’d put them on again. But until then, he just wanted to focus on finishing his lunch.

"There are a lot of eyes on us—or rather, on you, hyung," Haru remarked, scrunching his nose before shrugging. "Well, I can’t really bla them. You’re just too pretty today."

Haneul raised a brow, a teasing lilt in his voice. "Only today?"

"Even more so today," Haru admitted without hesitation. Then, turning to Haneul with bright, eager eyes, he grinned. "Say, hyung, if we don’t make it into the final debut group, can I pursue you instead? I an, we’d make a ridiculously beautiful couple."

Haneul blinked and then laughed out loud. It’s because he knew Haru was simply joking. It’s not just because of the way he said it, all playful and lacking seriousness, but also because of the glint of playfulness in his eyes. That, combined with the faint smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth, made it even more obvious.

"You—"

Haneul wasn’t able to finish what he was about to say because soone else spoke first.

"Oh my, are you confessing to Haneul?"

The voice was soft, tinged with concern, and just loud enough to draw the attention of those nearby. Haneul glanced toward the source and saw Park Mirae standing there, a tray of food balanced in his hands.

Park Mirae’s brows were slightly furrowed, his lips pressed into a faint, worried smile, and his tone carried just the right amount of hesitation to sound entirely genuine. To anyone else, it might have seed like innocent curiosity or even concern, but Haneul knew better. There was sothing in the way Park Mirae’s eyes flickered, a fleeting sharpness that betrayed the carefully crafted worry in his voice. It was convincing, yes—but not to Haneul.

Especially since he just turned a lighthearted mont into sothing serious. It was obvious that he was trying to do sothing here to sowhat make them look bad. Maybe not both of them, just Haneul. He hadn’t forgotten the malicious gaze he felt earlier, right after he finished his makeup. He hadn’t seen who it belonged to, but sothing in his gut told him it was Park Mirae, silently glaring daggers at him.

He still rembered how Jiwoo had warned him about Park Mirae and how the other would only get ’crazier’ once he saw Haneul’s face. So, was this guy starting to target him now?

Although he found this kind of situation troubleso, he wasn’t the type to just sit back and let Park Mirae twist things however he pleased. After all, he had never been a doormat—he wasn’t about to start now.

So, he smiled gently and said in a light, easygoing tone, "What confession? Mirae-ssi, you must have misunderstood—Haru was only joking." He let out a soft chuckle, tilting his head slightly and showing the best innocent expression he could muster. "It wouldn’t be good if people took a simple joke too seriously, right? I’m sure Mirae-ssi wouldn’t want to create unnecessary misunderstandings."

Park Mirae seed montarily surprised by how quickly and smoothly Haneul responded. But he quickly regained his composure and returned the smile. "Of course. I’m just worried since I don’t want such misunderstandings to happen. So, I’m glad you cleared that up."

Yeah. Right.
