THE logo of the survival program was an anchor inside a brightly shining star. The anchor sat firmly in the center of the glowing star, with the words ’Boys Odyssey’ displayed below in a clean, modern font. Beneath that, the premiere date, June 7, and the ti, 10 PM, were clearly shown, letting viewers know when to tune in.
As expected, the comnts under the trailer exploded instantly.
- Wow! Am I seeing things right? Did Vnet really get Lily to be the host of this survival program? Just how much is their budget?
└ I also thought I was seeing things, but it’s really Lily!
└ Lily is so pretty!
└ It seems that Vnet is determined to make this show a success. Getting a famous idol like Lily to be the host.
└└ Well, it’s certainly working. I’m now planning to watch the show for Lily.
└ They probably paid a lot to get Lily, right? Considering how busy all Noir Roses’ mbers are.
└└ What if Lily just liked the premise of the program? That’s why she agreed to be the host?
└└└ Right? Lily had been a ntor of a similar program in China before, so she’s obviously interested in things like this.
└└└ LOL do you really think Lily would agree to be the host just because of the premise? There’s definitely money involve.
└└└└ And? What’s wrong with that? Do you think that’s a drag?
- Go Lily! Even if this program turns out to be a bore, I will still watch it for you, girl.
- The show’s called Boys Odyssey, and Lily was on a ship in the trailer—does that an the entire show will actually take place at sea?
└ Isn’t there a rumor about that going around? Maybe it will really take place at sea.
└ Just how will that happen? Did Vnet actually build so kind of stage in the middle of the sea?
└└ LOL I doubt it. There would be an eyewitness account if that was the case.
└└ Maybe it’s not necessarily a stage, maybe just a ship. Just like in the trailer.
└└└ If it’s really a ship, then doesn’t that still cost a lot? Just who is funding this program???
- I read sowhere that Vnet is partnering with a newly founded entertainnt agency for this survival program. If I’m not mistaken, it’s called JH Entertainnt.
└ JH? It’s the first ti I heard of them.
└└ It’s newly founded, of course you haven’t heard of them.
└ If they managed to get Lily as the host and actually hold the show on a ship, then this new entertainnt agency must be pretty loaded, right?
└└ They definitely are.
└└ Unless, of course, they spent most of their budget in this survival program.
└└└ If the show turns out to be successful, they could easily make their money back after they debuted the show’s debut group.
└└└└ That’s a big ’if’ though.
- Do you think this show might flop? I an, even with Lily as the host, Vnet partnered with so unknown company. What if sothing goes wrong halfway through and everything falls apart?
└ Hey, stop jinxing things. The show hasn’t even started yet.
└ Lily’s fans will not let this flop.
└└ LOL no matter how famous Lily is, you can’t force soone to watch a show if it’s boring.
└ As long as Vnet makes things exciting, this show will definitely not flop.
└└ Vnet is known for creating plenty of drama in their survival programs, so I doubt that will be an issue.
- This is the program where all secondary genders were allowed to audition, right? I wonder how many Oga contestants they have.
└ I almost forgot about that! There would probably be just a few of them.
└ There’s no way they would allow Ogas to be part of the final group. They probably would just be there for the drama.
└└ What’s wrong with Ogas being in the final group? Do you think Ogas are not as talented as Alphas?
└└└ Ignore that person. They’re obviously a troll.
└└└ They do have a point, though. Can you really imagine both Alphas and Ogas in the sa group? The height difference alone would make them look unbalanced as a team.
The comnt section of the trailer quickly filled with reactions like that, and as buzz around the trailer grew, hashtags such as #MCLily, #LilyforBoysOdyssey, and #BoysOdyssey began trending across multiple SNS platforms.
This showed just how much excitent and anticipation the trailer had generated, with people not only in Korea but also internationally joining the conversation and sharing their thoughts across social dia.
At the mont, however, none of that buzz mattered to the contestants. Most of them were completely focused on practicing and morizing the lyrics and choreography for the show’s the song.
----------
Haneul spun around, trying to move into the next step, but he was a beat too late. The slight delay caused his body to halt completely, leaving him stuck mid-routine. He bent over, hands resting on his knees as he struggled to catch his breath, his chest heaving with exhaustion. Beads of sweat dripped down his forehead, evidence of how hard he had been pushing himself.
He sat down, deciding to take a quick five-minute break before continuing. Glancing up at the wall clock, he noticed it was already nearing midnight. He was the only one in the practice room.
After dinner, Robin stayed in the practice room for another two hours before heading back to his room to morize the lyrics of the the song. Seojun left shortly after Robin had gone.
And as expected, Taeyang never returned to the practice room after dinner. Haneul hadn’t even spotted him in the hotel’s main restaurant. Sure, there was a chance Taeyang ate sowhere else and went straight back to his room afterward, but Haneul couldn’t shake the feeling that there was more to it than that.
Despite his best efforts to push it out of his mind—knowing full well that now was hardly the ti—his thoughts kept drifting back to it, like an annoying itch that no amount of scratching could soothe.
He let out a frustrated sigh. Lost in thought, Haneul was startled by the sudden sensation of sothing cold pressing against his cheek.
