Before leaving, Lau Jingyun adjusted the blanket over her sleeping boyfriend to prevent him from catching a cold, and as she walked out of the ward with Xie Wanying, she said, "Have soone keep an eye on him tonight. I’m afraid he’ll try to run now that he’s feeling a bit better."
As the eldest apprentice sister, Xie Wanying knew Brother Hu very well, so she imdiately went to the nurse’s station to discuss it with the staff.
Following Li Yaxi’s incident, the nursing team beca extrely sensitive to patients escaping or sneaking off. Not only did everyone get a scolding for the last incident, but they also had a good chunk of their bonuses deducted.
A few of the night shift nurses murmured among themselves, then assured Xie Wanying, "We know what to do." After that, they took out the iron chains and big locks prepared by the head nurse, and secured the doors to the ward. Anyone needing to go through would have to find a nurse for the keys. Although it was more troubleso, patient safety was ensured.
At this ti, the dayti resuscitation in the ward had ended, and indeed the patient had not been revived. Their family mbers were crying in the corridor.
The somber atmosphere spread to the doctor’s office, causing Fan Yunyun’s heart to flutter with panic. She then looked at Song Xueling, who was leisurely peeling a boiled egg to add to his al.
Is this teacher up to the job? Doubts began to creep into Fan Yunyun’s mind.
Panic? What’s the point of panicking? Any doctor would know that panic is the most useless reaction.
Song Xueling slowly munched on his egg, taking a rest for the mont. If things got busy later on, being in surgery he might have to work all night. Having just been promoted to resident, he was already ahead of the ga, turning himself into a Slick.
Xie Wanying returned and asked the two students, "After reviewing the dical records, let’s go down to the ward. You two take the records, split them between yourselves."
Whether male or female student, Teacher Xie treated everyone equally.
Fan Yunyun and Geng Lingfei turned to see the stack of dical records piled up like a small mountain on the table, and their heads began to ache.
Turning back, they saw Xie Wanying heading out, waiting for them to carry the records and catch up with her.
With Teacher Xie moving quickly, the two students had no choice but to hurry up and lug a heap of dical records to follow her. As they rushed out, they could hear the sound of Doctor Song’s laughter back in the office, probably the Beidu Talented Scholar laughing at the two idiots.
(Song Xueling: Not really.)
Once in the ward, Xie Wanying led the students from the first to the last patient.
Fan Yunyun and Geng Lingfei had never imagined that the night rounds would be more thorough than the dayti ones, making them feel the chills.
To think, in the mornings the teachers were in a rush to head to the surgery room and had no ti to question the students. Now with Teacher Xie, it was different; she ticulously interrogated them about each patient’s condition.
"Tell , what’s the situation with this patient?" she asked.
"The admission diagnosis is liver tumor, suspected to be cancerous, awaiting surgery," Geng Lingfei replied.
"How old is he, what’s his dical history, and how are his recent blood test results?"
Teacher Xie’s questions were probing the core issues. Geng Lingfei thought for a mont, realizing he simply couldn’t rember the details of so many patients in such a short ti. It was much easier to rember a few patients from his own departnt.
Feeling the pressure from Teacher Xie’s gaze, Geng Lingfei wiped the sweat from his brow, afraid that she might suddenly spit out a string of data and turn his argunt on its head. Teacher Xie was quite capable of doing so, having done it nurous tis before in front of their seniors.
Standing beside him, Fan Yunyun touched her notebook and wanted to cry when she thought of how incomplete her notes were.
The students were so nervous that they were shaking. Xie Wanying turned around and said softly, "Look at the dical records."
