There really was a difference between male and female teachers, between senior brothers and senior sisters.
“Our Respiratory Departnt has a total of forty-five beds,” Xin Yanjun introduced the departnt as they walked. “Do you know what is special about our departnt?”

As they stepped into the ward area, Teacher Xin explained to her that their group was designated as the first group, working under Respiratory Departnt Director Li, responsible for beds 1 to 6, as well as single-bed room 21.
Teacher Xin was the attending physician of Director Li’s group. This arrangent, where she was assigned to learn under Teacher Xin, was directed by Director Li. Xie Wanying could distinctly feel how seriously this departnt regarded her, which added a bit of pressure.
In the single room, there stood the departnt’s only invasive ventilator.

Ventilators are most commonly found in ICUs because they are expensive, space-consuming, and noisy. Regular patients in general wards don’t usually use them. Those who require them are typically critical care patients needing ICU rescue and monitoring.
