"Please calm down," Xie Wanying chid in to assist the senior doctor.
"I am perfectly calm. I know you’re just an intern, so shut up. I’m not like that old grandmother who lets herself get tricked by you."
Patients and their families can sotis say things that cut deep into the hearts of dical staff. Despite working in the life-saving profession, being doubted like this could easily incite anger.
Having been harassed all night long, Xin Yanjun felt her patience had reached its limit. She was a female doctor known for being relatively patient and gentle in clinical practice, but tonight this patient’s family mber was truly unreasonable, pushing her close to breaking point.
