Now reading: Chapter 1244: 【1244】Two doctors say different things from Famous Among Top Surgeons in the 90s, a Romance novel by Kindhearted Mama.

A group of doctors walked up to the patient’s bedside.

Liu Wenyu, lying groggily on the hospital bed, opened her eyes when she saw people approaching. Seeing a group of dical staff in front of her, she couldn’t help but wonder: Could they be asking her to vacate the bed for other critical patients? It was tough enough for that young female doctor to find her a bed to rest on.

Spotting the expression written clearly on the patient’s face, Xin Yanjun said to her, "Go ahead and sleep, you keep resting, it’s fine. We’re just here to suggest that you may need to undergo additional tests and it’s better to stay hospitalized for treatnt."

"Hospitalized?" The patient exclaid in surprise, indicating she didn’t understand the doctor’s words. When she first ca to see the doctor, she was made to wait for two hours to give way to other patients. How could they suddenly be saying her condition was serious enough to require hospitalization?

Faced with this kind of confusion from the patient, the doctors and nurses present felt rather uneasy. It essentially ant they may have made an error in judging the patient’s condition earlier, causing significant differences in the later results.

"In your case—" Xin Yanjun tried to explain the specific reasons as best she could, "Because your symptoms are not obvious, we need to wait for the results of so blood tests to further clarify your condition."

"You made wait those two hours—did my condition worsen during that ti?" Liu Wenyu asked the kind of question that most patients would wonder.

"Impossible. A disease has its progression process, and only two hours wouldn’t make your condition suddenly worsen. Your illness isn’t the kind of acute, life-threatening disease." The doctor denied firmly.

"If it’s not life-threatening, then why do I need to be hospitalized? I have work to do; I can just co to your hospital for injections over the next few days," Liu Wenyu said.

"It depends on the results of the other tests coming up. If your heart is really showing ventricle dilation, there’s a high chance of heart failure, which would necessitate hospitalization for treatnt."

After hearing what the doctor said, Liu Wenyu shook her head, "I don’t understand what you’re saying. I think I’ll just get injections instead."

A lot of patients make judgnts based on their own feelings. Adding to this, the doctors had previously told her that her illness was mild, but now they were saying it was serious. She couldn’t help but doubt what was going on with these doctors. When doctors misdiagnose, the consequences are extrely serious, directly eroding the patient’s trust in their dical expertise.

Xin Yanjun sighed deeply in her heart: Doctors really have to shoulder so responsibility for this.

Sister Seo, who was responsible for triage, was worried about what would happen if sothing went wrong with the patient and the family held her accountable for missing it.

"Let’s complete the other tests first, get all the results, and then see what the final outco is. Rest assured, we will dedicate ourselves wholeheartedly, do everything possible to figure out your condition," Doctor Dong, also an internist, stepped forward to assist Xin Yanjun in speaking to the patient.

Listening to the unfamiliar male doctor, Liu Wenyu only felt more confused with every word.

"That won’t be necessary." Li Chengyuan glanced at the patient’s expression and said straightforwardly, "You just need to do one more echocardiogram test next. That way, we can preliminarily determine the severity of your condition."

Doctor Dong didn’t approve of his words and continued to insist to the patient, "It’s up to you to decide, but making sure all the testing is thorough would certainly be better. Being ticulous about finding out the issue is the only way to give everyone peace of mind."

Why did these two doctors seem to contradict each other? Liu Wenyu scanned the group of doctors and found Xie Wanying to ask, "Dr. Xie, what do they an by all this?"
