Capítulo 1430: [1430] Boss, the usual style
Treating dental problems should be done early as well.
While standing in the lobby waiting, Xie Wanying saw long lines at the registration and paynt windows, so she had to stand aside. At that mont, she received a text ssage from Senior Cao. It seed Senior Cao was having trouble finding a parking spot, as the hospital’s parking lot is always full. He told her to wait for him at the Dental Caries and Endodontics Departnt on the third floor instead of just standing there.
There was no place to sit in the lobby, but it seed better upstairs. Xie Wanying took the elevator to the third floor, not knowing if Teacher Lu had arrived yet.
On the third floor, the waiting area was full of patients, but luckily there were a few empty seats available.
She didn’t sit down because she heard footsteps behind her. Xie Wanying turned around and saw a familiar face.
“Oh, why are you here alone?” Teacher Lu slapped his thigh and exclaid upon seeing her, “Where’s Cao Yong? Didn’t he accompany you?”
“Senior Cao went to park the car,” Xie Wanying replied to the teacher.
“Having trouble finding a spot, right? It’s rare for his brain to make a mistake. Where does he think he will find a parking spot here? Does he think it’s his own hospital?” Teacher Lu criticized Cao Yong, the top student, joking about his absent-minded mont.
Hearing the teacher’s nagging about his student, Xie Wanying laughed genuinely. Teacher Lu looked good in a deep red velvet jacket despite having lost a significant amount of weight from undergoing major surgery and chemotherapy.
“Why don’t you co over? Are you afraid of him?” Teacher Lu noticed her standing still and snorted, knowing it must be because her foster son was present.
Zhang Huayao, who was helping his mother walk, blinked with a hint of helplessness upon hearing the elder’s words. As a handso man in his forties, his brown jacket was quite stylish. Glancing back at the young person with the seasoned air of a shrewd elder, he said, “If she was afraid of , she wouldn’t be standing here; she’d have run away.”
Boss Zhang was never one to spare anyone when he spoke.
“You are happiest when you scare people into running away with their tails between their legs, aren’t you?” Teacher Lu criticized his foster son’s lifelong bad habit, explaining that Boss Zhang’s behavior pattern has been there since childhood, showcasing his dominant aura from a young age.
“They’re guilty themselves; otherwise, why would they be scared and run away?” Zhang Huayao’s tone was lazily nonchalant, not afraid of his foster mother’s reprimands, like a mischievous child-man.
“You’ve been saying that since you were young. I don’t believe your nonsense.” Teacher Lu glared at him, internally hoping that now the child had grown up, he would understand the need for harmonious relationships.
Zhang Huayao turned his gaze elsewhere.
Old habits die hard. If he were to change this nature, he wouldn’t be Zhang Huayao anymore.
If Boss Zhang were looking at the scenery, Xie Wanying wouldn’t have been nervous.
Zhang Huayao turned his gaze towards her and repeated the previous question: “Did you go for a run today?”
Last ti her answer made Boss laugh out loud. This ti, Xie Wanying was cautious and said, “I ran last night. Didn’t run this morning.”
“You prefer running more at night, right?”
“Depends on the schedule of work and study.”
“Why are you forcing her to run?” Teacher Lu asked her foster son.
“Being in good health is necessary to be a doctor,” Zhang Huayao replied very straightforwardly.
Boss asked her if she ran, in hopes that she would beco a good doctor. Xie Wanying understood this.
“Yingying, co here.” Teacher Lu didn’t engage in conversation with her foster son as mother-son dialogues easily led to argunts, and walked with Xie Wanying to find a place to sit and chat.
