Chapter 1516: Chapter 1516: No Need to Act
Ding Wenze imdiately seized on her words, sarcastically mocking her: “Who did you call that didn’t answer? Your senior brother? Are you sure it’s his phone number?”
Doctor Chiang sighed heavily, feeling that this outco was expected.
Shang Siling’s heart was pounding with anxiety, afraid that their only hope would be severed. Her helpless gaze fell on Xie Wanying: What if we can’t reach the doctors in the Capital? Can this little cousin-in-law really help?
Ring, ring, ring, the phone rang again, shattering everyone’s state of mind. All eyes fell on the phone in Xie Wanying’s hand.
Teacher Ren must have told Senior Brother Yu about her taking leave. Xie Wanying saw that the incoming call was from Senior Brother Yu’s number and quickly picked up.
“Your Teacher Ren said sothing happened at your ho? What is it?” Yu Xuexian asked her from the other side.
“I’m heading back soon.” Not wanting to worry Senior Brother Yu, Xie Wanying said. She was supposed to accompany her cousin back to the Capital for treatnt today.
Hearing her say she would be back soon, Yu Xuexian assud it wasn’t a major issue. He wouldn’t have guessed that the little junior sister was referring to accompanying a critically ill patient back to the Capital.
“Tell about it when you get back,” Yu Xuexian said, “You don’t need to rush back too anxiously; take care of yourself. Teacher Ren should have ntioned this to you. If anything cos up, call early.”
“Okay,” Xie Wanying agreed.
The others watched her hang up the phone. Shang Siling asked about the situation: “How is it?”
“Sister-in-law, no need to worry. Senior Brother Shim agreed to it,” Xie Wanying reassured her sister-in-law.
Ding Wenze watched coldly from the side, thinking that this cousin-in-law was foolish enough to be kept in the dark by the seniors, unwittingly thinking she was so capable.
“Was it your teacher who called you?” Ding Wenze questioned the phone call she just took, fearing she had found a fellow dical student who hadn’t graduated to act with her.
Senior Brother Yu is a boss at Guoxie. Does he need to act with her?! If Senior Brother Yu knew what this person thought, given his short-tempered nature, he might scold the guy until he was drenched in dog blood. Xie Wanying turned away, only to pick up her phone again, seeing that Senior Brother Shim, who hadn’t answered earlier, was calling her back.
“Yingying, you called , what’s up?” Shim Youhuan asked.
“I’ll handle all the transfer procedures and buy the flight tickets for my cousin today. Please help secure a bed for my cousin, Senior Brother Shim. Thank you.”
“You’re welco,” Shim Youhuan laughed heartily at the little junior sister and asked, “Are you sure you can accompany him up here?”
“I’ll review the case notes later. Based on the patient’s condition I observed in the ward just now, and my preliminary discussions with the attending doctor, the small embolism poses risks during the transfer. However, his surgical wounds from the car accident are healing well, indicating a relatively good physical condition. His symptoms do not currently amount to large or sublarge pulmonary embolism (PTE) but are considered mild to moderate pulmonary embolism.”
The little junior sister was professional, her use of terminology was remarkably precise.
Pulmonary embolism, referred to as PE, is correctly defined as a syndro caused by emboli of various sources blocking the pulmonary arteries and causing pulmonary circulation disorders. It does not only include pulmonary artery thrombosis and embolism but also amniotic fluid embolism, air embolism, fat embolism, etc., all fall under PE. Clinically, people are accustod to equate pulmonary thromboembolism (PTE) with pulmonary embolism (PE) because PTE occupies the vast majority of PE cases.
In the industry, being able to articulate so accurately is like a breath of fresh air to the listener, deeply pleasant to hear.
