Smart and sensible students are those whom teachers like and cherish.
The CT examination report was written by Doctor Xu. Xie Wanying took the examination report and key CT scans of parts including the lungs, excluding the heart, preparing to deliver them to the inpatient departnt for Senior Brother Shim.
As she was leaving, Doctor Xu, knowing that she was Teacher Qin’s student and having a good impression of her, leaned in and privately said in her ear: "Your cousin’s condition requires a surgeon. The strongest surgeon our hospital has is Director Zhang. Do you need to ask Director Zhang for help?"
Xie Wanying rembered that she had just refused Boss Zhang’s offer to open the back door for her last night. Even now, she still believed in following protocol. Family needed her care the most.
"Director Zhang is quite busy, so it’s better not to disturb him for now. Thank you, Teacher Xu." Xie Wanying said.
"Alright, if you need to inquire with Director Zhang, you can find ." Doctor Xu readily agreed with her suggestion.
Teacher Qin’s classmate was such a good person, Xie Wanying thanked him repeatedly.
After saying goodbye to Teacher Xu and the CT room, she ran up to the inpatient departnt, heading to the Cardiovascular Internal dicine Section Three.
It was her first ti stepping into Guo Zhi Hospital’s inpatient departnt. In a word, it was new, newer than Guoxie’s wards. Even so, Guo Zhi Hospital was now planning to build another new inpatient building.
Wealthy enough to frantically expand new buildings, Guoxie’s teachers were probably envying them secretly.
Like Guoxie, Guo Zhi Hospital’s wards were full of patients, with no beds being empty for more than half a day.
Finding Senior Brother Shim’s personal office, like searching for a hidden office of a teacher in Guoxie, required so effort. Xie Wanying found Doctor Li from the departnt’s doctor’s office to guide her.
Knock knock, she tapped twice on the office door.
Shim Youhuan was on the phone, saw them coming in, put away his mobile, and asked: "Has the patient been admitted?"
"Thank you, Senior Brother, my cousin is settled in bed number 2." Xie Wanying thanked, and stepped forward to hand over the CT examination report to her senior brother with both hands.
"Have you checked on the patient?" Shim Youhuan asked Li Xiaofeng underneath him.
Li Xiaofeng said: "I’ll go now, the patient just arrived."
"Write the admission record." Shim Youhuan instructed.
Li Xiaofeng hurriedly ran out to work.
"Have a seat, Yingying." Shim Youhuan waved to the young junior sister.
Xie Wanying couldn’t sit down, waiting for her senior brother to see if he had any thoughts after reading the report.
Seeing she wouldn’t sit, Shim Youhuan had to smile and ask her to relax: "I need ti to look at the report. Go and have lunch first, don’t rush. I’ll find you after I finish reading."
The examination report written by the CT room doctor needed to be read, the delivered CT scans needed to be compared with the examination report, and the clinical doctor had to review the examination results again. Complex cases required more ti to contemplate.
Understanding this, Xie Wanying thanked her senior brother and returned to the ward to have lunch with her cousin and cousin-in-law.
"How’s your cousin’s CT examination result?" Shang Siling secretly asked Xie Wanying, hiding it from her husband, worried about any mishaps.
"It’s quite good." Xie Wanying told her cousin-in-law, basically confirming so suspicions, which would give the doctors more confidence while performing surgery.
Hearing her say so, Shang Siling breathed a sigh of relief, and pitied her, saying: "After lunch, take a nap."
"No, I have to return to school for a bit." Xie Wanying said, as she had so free ti in the afternoon, she wanted to take clothes back to the dorm to change and wash, and bring over a thick piece of clothing for her cousin-in-law. The clothes bought from the South were not thick enough, and Shang Siling was about to catch a cold, keeping her on edge.
