Doctor Jiang had it the toughest; it was said that he didn’t return to the hospital until three or four in the morning, having been on-site directing ergency response the whole ti and eventually bringing back a critically ill patient.
It was only after his return that he heard about her injury, and knowing she was resting, he waited until the afternoon to call and inquire about her condition.

Wu Lixuan didn’t expect it to be serious and was scared, asking, “Why is it so serious that I need an injection? Isn’t it just a sore throat?”
“If it gets worse, you won’t be able to eat anything,” Xie Wanying “scared” her friend with factual dical knowledge.
The two of them went to the ergency departnt. It was the day shift now; surely Doctor Jiang, Doctor Lin, and Doctor Kim, who worked the night shift, had gone off duty. Xie Wanying went straight to the nurses’ station for help.
The nurse told her, “There are several doctors on duty today, including one of your classmates.”
Zhao Zhaowei is on duty? Wasn’t he on night shift with her?

“He’s not that heavy—” Xie Wanying defended her classmate Zhao Zhaowei for a mont.
“Forget it. He’s at least several tens of pounds heavier than you. He’s 1.75 ters tall.”
