You saw that person standing at the fire exit and realized sothing happened and rushed over to help. But why haven’t you ntioned this person before?"
The others, having suddenly heard this information from Chang Jiawei, were as shocked and puzzled as Huang Zhilei, each waiting for Chang Jiawei to explain.
Chang Jiawei was frustrated and didn’t want to ntion that troublemaker again, saying, "Afterward, we asked that person to understand why the patient got sick, but that person refused to admit they saw the patient pass out."
"Who said they didn’t see the patient faint? And didn’t you keep silent about this person because you wanted to cover for them?"

Huang Zhilei truly was like a dog with a bone. Chang Jiawei scratched his head, feeling truly embarrassed for that troublemaker as a fellow Beidu native.
After observing his expression, others quickly caught on to the truth.
"Oh, that person is a doctor from Beidu. Saw the patient collapse and didn’t help. No wonder you kept quiet about it," Huang Zhilei pointed at the group from Beidu, "You’re all good at covering for each other."
"Huang Zhilei!" Zhou Junpeng couldn’t stay seated any longer. He decided to face off with his fellow local and wouldn’t let them drag all Beidu people down with them.
"Didn’t you hear how he sounded?" Huang Zhilei argued back, unconvinced.
"Don’t worry, if it really is a Beidu person ignoring a collapsing patient, we Beidu people would expel that person ourselves," Zhou Junpeng declared loudly.
The situation had beco almost explosively contentious.
The noise in the office hadn’t subsided, and Xie Wanying and her group, pacing back and forth in the thoracic corridor, had no choice but to continue waiting. Every so often, they would stop and glance toward Teacher Fu’s office, worried about when they could check the patient’s information, but also cautious not to intrude on any discussions that might reveal things families shouldn’t hear.
Her companion in the hallway, Geng Yongzhe, had different worries in mind, concerned about what might happen if Student Xie unwittingly found herself caught between a conflict among the n inside.
As both minded their own thoughts, they noticed a familiar person approaching from the end of the corridor.
"Doctor Song," Xie Wanying said.
Song Xueling ambled toward them leisurely, clearly ready to relax unless an ergency called, yawning occasionally to refresh himself. Upon hearing her voice, he noticed them and approached, asking, "What are you doing standing here, Dr. Xie?"
"We’re waiting for the teachers in the office to finish talking so we can ask about the situation. Senior Cao and Senior Chang seem to be discussing the patient’s treatnt plan inside. I heard the patient is scheduled for surgery," she answered.
