"What do you all think you’re doing?" Chang Jiawei erupted in anger.

"Alright, alright, don’t be mad. Doctor Chang, you’re excellent with surgeries, we’re just here to observe and learn." A group of people explained while trying to calm him down.

No matter what, as the Chief Surgeon, he did have the right to get angry.

"I may be good at surgeries, but I didn’t agree to let you in to watch." Chang Jiawei’s anger did not subside. How could he not be angry? He imagined completing this excellent surgery quietly with her by his side, never allowing a third party to co in and observe. What irritated him more was when Cao Yong arrived, and also why Tao Zhijie was standing here like a Buddha.

"Doctor Chang, we didn’t disturb you, we respected you. You are the Chief Surgeon, only you can speak during the surgery. However, we didn’t hear you say anything midway. If you had told us to leave, we definitely would have. Since you didn’t, we assud you wanted us to stay here."

Damn, after hearing their sophistry, he realized the bla was being shifted back onto him. Truth be told, he hadn’t noticed when so many people arrived. Chang Jiawei was so angered that he couldn’t find words.

The others, seeing him like a balloon about to burst, wisely ceased their actions and exited the operating room one by one.

Just then, an older doctor stood at the door, saying to Chang Jiawei, "Doctor Chang, after your surgery, please organize today’s surgical case and find so ti this afternoon for a departntal eting to discuss and exchange ideas."

Chang Jiawei’s throat caught, as he hesitated, "Director—"

Director Ding, the head steward of Orthopedics Three, had arrived, and who knew how much he had observed.

Chang Jiawei could only let Doctor Liu handle the aftermath, while he went to explain the situation to Director Ding. Student Xie wasn’t an intern in their orthopedics departnt; her participation in the surgery with his consent warranted explaining the situation to the leadership.

Turning around to reassure her that everything was fine, Chang Jiawei quickly realized her attention hadn’t left the patient.

Considering it was her classmate’s younger brother, he should indeed be more attentive. This was how Xie Wanying felt internally. As for who ca to watch their surgery, it wasn’t really important. What mattered was a successful surgery, ensuring the patient safely left the operating room, and reassuring the patient’s family. These are the goals of a doctor during surgery. Surgeons need not worry about the surrounding environnt; their focus is perpetually on the patient.

To Little Sister, they ceased to exist. Huang Zhilei adjusted his glasses, knowing this would be the case.

Xie Wanying helped push the stretcher out of the operating room, oblivious to all else along the way.

Outside the operating room, they heard the nurse calling out that the family could co in.

Geng Yongzhe and Mother Geng hurried to the entrance of the operating room.

"Little Hui." Mother Geng, holding back tears, grasped her younger son’s hand. Due to the anesthesia, the patient appeared pale, and his skin was cool, which wrenched her heart.

"It’s alright. The surgery went very smoothly." Doctor Liu ca out to reassure the family, "Let’s get him back to the ward to rest first."

Hearing the doctor say the surgery was successful, Mother Geng wiped away her tears.

The group first escorted the patient back to the ward, where the nurse hooked him up to a postoperative heart monitor, with all trics stable.

Doctor Liu entered the office to issue postoperative orders.

On the way there, Geng Yongzhe was more interested in hearing Student Xie’s opinion. However, Xie Wanying had to go to the doctor’s office to help with postoperative matters. Fortunately, Student Pan went in on his behalf to look at the surgery and could help answer questions.
