When the car arrived at Guo Zhi Hospital, it was nearly 6:30.
Xie Wanying and Doctor Zuoliang hadn’t eaten, and they hurried to the inpatient departnt to check on the patient first.
In the ward, Aunt Min was able to sit at the bedside and pour herself a drink of water. Hearing soone call her, she turned around to see guests and was very pleased, saying, "Yingying, you’re here, please sit."
"Auntie, how do you feel? Are you feeling better?" Doctor Zuoliang asked.
"Hello, Doctor Zuo. I can’t believe you ca all this way just to see . Please have a seat," Aunt Min was pleasantly surprised and said to them.
The two doctors noticed that the patient recognized them and behaved normally. Although the patient experienced temporary consciousness disturbance, no damage was apparent when she regained clarity. Overall, Zuo Liang felt he could breathe a sigh of relief. As long as the patient was fine, everything else was manageable.
Xie Wanying walked near the bedside and shook hands with Aunt Min, observing her radiant and healthy complexion, and couldn’t help but smile sincerely.
Aunt Min thanked her, saying, "My nephew told it was your suggestion to bring to Guo Zhi Hospital for treatnt. The doctors here said my transfer was tily, so my recovery was fast."
The skills of the teachers at Guo Zhi Hospital are excellent. Bringing Aunt Min here was the right decision. Xie Wanying thought so too.
"Doctor Zuo, there’s a chair, please sit," Aunt Min turned back, warmly inviting her attending doctor from Beidou Third Hospital.
"I won’t be formal," Zuo Liang replied with a smile, noticing the patient’s family returning down the hallway with hot water. Rembering Du Haiwei’s instructions, he went over to chat with them briefly to sort things out.
Doctor Zuo left. The person in the neighboring bed was absent, leaving only Xie Wanying and Aunt Min in the ward.
Aunt Min rembered sothing important, picked up her phone, and said to Xie Wanying, "I’ll call soone for you now."
Hearing Aunt Min’s words and seeing her expression, could her previous episode be related to sothing with her mother back then? Xie Wanying looked toward the door, saw there was no one, closed it, and returned.
Aunt Min dialed a friend’s number and asked, "Director Zhang, do you rember our last call, you only ntioned part of the matter about Sun Rongfang?"
"Are you feeling better?" Director Zhang inquired about her current condition, "I’ve been out of town, heard you were in trouble, how are you now?"
"I’m better, nothing serious," Aunt Min turned back to the main question, "Sun Rongfang’s grades were once swapped, Director Zhang, you ntioned knowing the person who replaced her grades now works at Capital Hospital."
"I never said that," Director Zhang exclaid in shock, denying it outright.
"Didn’t you say that? Wasn’t it just - wasn’t it inconvenient to say?"
"What I ant was - I really don’t know," Director Zhang almost wanted to cry, thinking of the misunderstandings and horrors caused by incomplete conversations, "How could I know who did the swapping? I wasn’t involved, nor did I experience it. I just happened to overhear others talk about it once. I’m not part of the health system, how could I know the specifics? If you want to investigate, you should ask soone in the health system to check. Whether they can find out what happened decades ago is questionable."
"Director Zhang, don’t lie to ," Aunt Min said.
"If I’m lying, may I be struck by lightning," Director Zhang swore by pointing at the sky, "I really don’t understand why you keep asking. Her daughter is now studying to be a doctor at Capital University, which is a good thing, helping her mother fulfill her dreams."
