"Are you Xie Wanying?"
Xie Wanying carefully identified the voice, confirming it was Sister Weng.

"I apologize for my harsh tone during the call in the afternoon, Dr. Xie. Please forgive . There have been too many personal issues for lately." Sister Weng’s current attitude was like what Wu Lixuan described before—her good temper, compared to the fiery mood this afternoon.
"How is your health now?" Xie Wanying asked. The other party chose to call in the middle of the night, showing it’s not a good situation.
Surely, to drive this person to apologize indicates the patient realizes their condition isn’t very good.
Sister Weng’s voice had long turned pale and fearful over the phone line: "I’m bleeding more and more. Dr. Xie, do you think my situation might be an ectopic pregnancy?"
"How long have you been missing your nstrual period?" Diagnosing a patient’s condition over the phone isn’t easy, so Xie Wanying first asked about the patient’s dical history.
"I don’t quite rember. I’m busy with work and have a lot going on, my periods are always irregular. Maybe my period hasn’t co for one or two months?" Sister Weng said hesitantly.
Many patients, when nervous, claim they can’t rember anything. In gynecology, female patients being unable to answer their accurate nstrual date is very common. Generally speaking, very few won can rember each month which day their period starts and ends. Unless they jot it down in a notebook monthly, which most don’t. Mainly, few won’s periods co on fixed dates each month. With fast-paced living, studying, and working, a few days delay or advance in won’s periods is normal.
"Do you feel severe abdominal pain now?" Xie Wanying turned to ask about the patient’s current symptoms, which is also a very critical question. Since the patient suspects an ectopic pregnancy, it’s one of the most dangerous acute gynecological issues, with severe pain on the affected side during rupture and heavy bleeding as a key symptom.
"It’s not very painful at the mont," Sister Weng said.
Xie Wanying gauged the patient wasn’t in a heavy bleeding state, then asked, "How long have you been bleeding?"
"I initially thought it was my period coming, so blood, not much. It’s been flowing more these past two days," Sister Weng answered.
"What color is the blood? Are there any other things in the blood?" Xie Wanying continued to inquire.
"There seems to be sothing in the blood, unclear what it is. My periods weren’t good before, there were clots, the doctor said I have a weak cold constitution," Sister Weng recalled.
"How did you co to suspect you might be pregnant? Did you not initially notice your belly getting big, thinking you were gaining weight, only to realize your belly was large and then suspect pregnancy?"
"Yes." Sister Weng’s tone revealed a hint of surprise, at how a student could ask questions as if a seasoned doctor.
"Did you buy a pregnancy test strip yourself and find out the result?"
"Yes."
"What result?"
"Two lines." After answering, Sister Weng asked her again, "Am I having an ectopic pregnancy?"
"It’s probably not an ectopic pregnancy, but the problem could still be serious," Xie Wanying said.
"If it’s not ectopic, could the problem be more severe?" Sister Weng expressed doubt about her statent.
