Sun Yubo turned around and saw it was her. His brows furrowed tightly, his expression solemn, and his voice, unlike its usual tone, was cold as he asked her, “What did you do last night?”
Teacher Xiao Sun always seed like a sunny, big boy to her, but she hadn’t expected him to look this way today. Xie Wanying realized that the situation was more serious than she had thought and kept silent for a mont.
Seeing her not responding, Sun Yubo grew even angrier and said, “Don’t you know how to answer, is that it? Have you written a self-criticism?”
“I have.”
“Where is it?” Sun Yubo stretched out his hand towards her.
“It’s in the dormitory—”
“Why is it in the dormitory? Did you write it and feel it wasn’t good enough to hand in, scared to turn it in?”
Xie Wanying was thinking about what to say.
Sun Yubo, with his hand on his hip and tilting his head, nearly pointed at her head with his outstretched hand, “Do you even know what you did last night? Do you think you saved soone? You should know that if you had failed, your entire future as a doctor would have been ruined! The patient’s family doesn’t care if you were desperately trying to save soone. If you made other mistakes, they just need to know you are an intern, and they can sue you!”
“I caused trouble for the teacher—”
“We are not troubled; it is you who have destroyed yourself, understand? A dical student must do things honestly under the teacher’s watchful eye. Whatever happens, a teacher can cover for you. Footsteps echoed rapidly down the corridor. Luo Yanfen appeared, her hair a ss, likely because she had stayed in the hospital with a patient last night and not left. She approached Sun Yubo, sowhat out of breath, and said, “Teacher Sun, don’t scold her, this was all my doing.”
“This matter has nothing to do with you!” Sun Yubo waved his hand dismissively.

“You don’t need to make excuses for her. We know her; that’s her character. What she needs is education!” Sun Yubo said this with great emphasis.
Luo Yanfen was almost frantic with distress, “Teacher, this—”
“Shift handover!” Soone called out from the office.
Everyone standing outside talking had to close their mouths and head into the office. As they entered the office, they realized that Teacher Tan had already arrived. Xie Wanying and Luo Yanfen stood behind the teachers.
“I’m sorry, it was my fault.” Luo Yanfen heard Teacher Sun’s earlier words and whispered to Xie Wanying, “If the teacher asks you to write a self-criticism, I’ll help you write it.”
“It’s alright,” Xie Wanying comforted her.
“Seeing you save soone last night, I felt like I ca back to life,” Luo Yanfen said, moved as she wiped the corner of her eye.
Xie Wanying hadn’t expected to have such an impact on her.
“Forget about love; it doesn’t matter,” Luo Yanfen’s voice then turned cold and indifferent.
