Now reading: Chapter 180 - 135: Count Engle’s Lesson 2 (A Bit Late)2 from Fantasy Lord: Beginning with Daily Intelligence, a Eastern novel by If life were only like the first dream.

Or rather, if so many nobles could be eliminated, the Tulip Kingdom wouldn’t exist.

But the result is that the Tulip Kingdom still stands, while nobles are cut down like chives, one batch after another.

How could this be possible?

Yet, no matter how impossible it seems, the result has truly occurred.

The issues here, even with the slightest thought, are likely not trivial.

Or.

To be more precise, this is even bigger than he imagined.

In that mont, countless thoughts flooded Thor’s mind.

Thoughts of being bred.

Thoughts of brains in a vat.

And various haphazard conspiracies flashed through his mind.

No way, as he said, the issues here are too significant, making him ponderately.

"Father, this!"

Thor instinctively spoke again, his gaze turning to his father.

"I know, you want to ask why?"

"But sorry, I don’t know either, and it’s not just the Tulip Kingdom; even the several neighboring kingdoms are in no better state."

"It’s almost all the sa."

"If you want to know more, it’s either the Tulip Royal Family or you have to go to the Empire."

Count Engle sighed lightly, unconsciously recalling scenes of his early travels through the surrounding kingdoms.

At that ti, when he heard the sa information, the shock was unforgettable even now.

He wanted to find the answer then, but evidently, he couldn’t.

Listening to Count Engle’s words, Thor fell silent.

To ask the Tulip Royal Family, it’s evidently impossible; if they were going to tell, they would have long ago.

As for going to the Empire.

Citizens of the Kingdom, cannot freely step into the Empire.

Let alone understand the situation.

Suddenly.

A spark of insight flashed in Thor’s mind, and a figure appeared in his consciousness.

Neil Morton.

Being a Sky Knight from the Empire, if anyone around might know sothing, it would be him.

Unfortunately, even if he might know sothing and is willing to tell, at this point, Thor has no way to ask.

Thor couldn’t help but shake his head.

"Alright, this is not really sothing we need to worry about."

"What I want to teach you is not this."

"But to tell you, never reveal your trump card at any ti."

"Even I don’t know the full extent of the Dressrosa Family now, and similarly, if you want to survive on this continent, at a minimum, you must not show all your strength to the outside world."

"This will be extrely dangerous behavior, even if not now, there’s no guarantee for the future."

As he spoke, Count Engle seriously advised Thor.

Thor nodded, lost in thought.

Seeing Thor seed to understand, Count Engle pondered for a mont before speaking again.

"You’re doing well now, no one can see that you’re a Great Knight, but it’s not enough; in Pat City, you don’t actually need to take action, what harm in following Deguli to the city center, even without your cousin, the Erson Family cannot do much to you."

"Always maintaining your mystery to the outside world gives you more opportunities; if you advance to Earth Knight, I hope you can conceal it, at least not reveal it easily, as a Lord, you need to develop your territory, not make everyone aware of your strength, that is not necessarily beneficial to you."

Count Engle brought the topic back on track, beginning to recount previous events.

Evidently, he already knew everything that had happened in Pat City, and was now using it to give Thor more profound guidance.

Thor listened intently, even though he had his own ideas, he didn’t interrupt his father.

After all, this was a lesson from his father.

Moreover, even if he had ideas, what Count Engle said was not without value.

As a Count, especially one with centuries of heritage, Count Engle’s knowledge and understanding of the world were far beyond his own.

This undoubtedly would have a great impact on his future actions.

It could also prompt self-reflection.

For instance, his recent behavior.

He had indeed been a bit too high-profile.

Whether it was due to his ennoblent as a Baron, his improved talents, or breaking through as a Great Knight, he had beco sowhat arrogant.

Often there were better ways to resolve issues, but he chose the simplest and most direct thods.

This approach indeed made things easier but left many problems.

If not for already being a Baron, if not for the Erson Family descendant being a fool, he might have been in considerable trouble in Pat City.

Similarly, in Pat City, if it weren’t for Ruby, things might not have ended well.

Even with Anna’s talent, he might not have been able to defeat Deguli at that ti.

If it dragged on, there was no telling what might happen.

As his father said, these situations could have been entirely avoided.

But in the end, it reached that point.

One cannot count on getting lucky every ti.

This requires caution.

Apart from this, there are several other aspects.

Such as strength.

He can indeed conceal part of his strength.

Unleashing it at critical monts is better than the opponent knowing.

Even as his strength grows, constant exposure will alert enemies, complicating things.

As his father said, he is a Lord, not a Knight, and should not reveal his martial prowess unless absolutely necessary.

Thoughts intertwined.

Unknowingly, ti passed.

Waiting until his father finished speaking.

Thor gradually sorted through his thoughts.

"Phew!"

A deep breath was slowly exhaled.

The whole person seed sowhat relieved.

The path forward seed clearer.

"Understood!"

"Thank you, father!"

Bowed slightly to Count Engle, his words carried deep sincerity.

"No need to thank ; as a father, this is my duty to teach you."

"Only, your growth is so rapid, leaving little ti for ."

Count Engle shook his head, sighing as he spoke.

This mont, he truly sighed.

Thor’s growth speed was indeed astonishing.

So quick that he hadn’t had ti to do anything, and Thor had already fully matured.

Things long overdue for guidance and counsel were overlooked.

But fortunately, this mont made up for it.

With the previous series of conflicts, he believed his son would understand the aning within his words.

"Father, you overestimate !"

Thor shook his head, a hint of a smile on his face.

"Alright, in the coming days, rest well; in three days, the supplies should be ready."

"By then, you can depart."

(To clarify, there’s no conspiracy, further explanation will follow, just laying groundwork)
