Fantasy Realm – Infinite Worlds Adventure Chapter 347: The Fight On Terminal Two

“Fuck! They’re gone…” Alex curses as he sees the Sovereign fly away into space.

I thought we were pretty quick. I even pushed Shepard to save ti, and we took down the enemies as fast as possible—still, we were too far behind to make a difference.

The train continues moving until it reaches the larger, second platform of the spaceport.

They step off the cargo train and imdiately spot a massive tallic hall with countless visible crates. Nearby is a suspicious tallic object, with weird numbers on a display.

“Demolition charges!” Kaidan says at once. “The Geth must have planted them.”

“We need to find them all and shut them down!” Ashley yells.

“Alenko, you’re good with Tech. You go with Kerber. Williams, you’re with . Let’s disarm them—move!” Shepard orders.

As the group rushes into the spaceport, they co under heavy fire from a horde of Geth.

Impossible! That’s way too many! Is this Insanity difficulty?! We need to hurry—no telling how long those charges have until they go off. I have to rush forward!

Alex’s shield gets hit hard as a bullet slams into him from afar, nearly destroying it in one shot. He quickly dives behind a large crate for cover.

“My shields are nearly down! There are Geth Snipers in the back—careful!” Alex shouts through the comm, warning the others.

“Careful, Kerber—I see Geth charging towards your position. Get ready to engage. These ones look like Engineers—they’re carrying shotguns! One is right next to the crate you are hiding behind. Don’t take them on in lee without backup,” Kaidan warns.

Engineers are tougher than Troopers—their shields are ridiculously strong. I can’t hold back anymore. We don’t have ti!

Alex activates Sealion’s Icewing Embrace, consuming a large portion of his remaining AURA. His [Heavy Onyx Armor] becos encased in a thick ice armor with wide wings.

“Fuck! Commander, Kaidan, Ashley—get ready! We can’t freeze up or we’re dead. Once I take out that Engineer, I’m rushing in. Cover and drop as many as you can, while I draw their fire towards myself!” Alex announces, charging Thunder Sword as he moves, feeling the speed boost from his trusty [Nimbus Cloak], one of his most useful possessions.

“Don’t get yourself killed. I still have use for you,” Shepard replies in her usual confident tone.

As the Geth Engineer reaches his position, Alex leaps out from cover and slashes forward. The fully repaired [Executioner’s Blade R2], enhanced by the frost damage from his conjuration, cuts through the Geth in a single blow. This ti, Alex moves away before the explosive pulse from the destroyed unit can reach him.

Now exposed, Alex is imdiately bombarded by gunfire. He dashes back toward another crate, climbs on top, and uses the height to jump toward the other side of the port—crossing over the cargo train tracks separating the two aisles of the spaceport

Despite the incoming fire, the frozen armor holds up better than expected—resisting most of the plasma fire and only breaking down slowly.

Still in mid-air, Alex tosses two of his newly acquired [Mark 14 Grenade] into clusters of Geth. One lands near a crate, the other on open ground. Both detonate monts later.

Spotting the surviving Destroyer, Alex sprints toward it and activates Thundara Blade, gaining a burst of speed.

I know the rocket’s coming—have to dodge it or I’m dead!

As expected, the Geth Destroyer fires a rocket, and Alex jumps into the air to avoid it.

However the Geth has predicted his evasive maneuver and fired toward the ground. The blast catches Alex at the edge of its radius, flinging him into a tal wall. His Icewing Embrace absorbs the worst of the impact and holds together.

Alex rises, trying to recover—but the Destroyer is already on him, striking hard enough to slam him into the wall again.

Desperate, he reactivates Thundara Blade—the previous charge already depleted. He slashes at the Destroyer as it raises its arms to block. The blade connects, and a lightning-enhanced surge courses through the Geth’s body, frying its internal systems and shutting it down entirely.

Before he can even breathe, gunfire rips through the air—more Plasma bullets slamming into him.

With less than 10% HP remaining, Alex’s vision blurs. In desperation, he throws himself behind a nearby crate—enemy fire continuing to hamr against it instead of him.

He uses a dose of [digel], then activates [Drakul’s Vitality R2] by consuming another [Blood Essence]. Desperate to survive, he even eats one of his Blue-Quality dishes, [Infused Exceptional Dish (Dragon Skewer)], and downs a [Wiggenweld Potion V2]—which, to Alex’s surprise, stacks with the effects of the infused dish.

Despite his low AURA, Alex activates Sealion’s Icewing Embrace again, draining what little he has left. His [Heavy Onyx Armor] is once more encased in a massive, frost-covered shell, wings spreading behind him.

He darts away from his cover and casts Thundara at a nearby Geth Trooper, tearing through it instantly.

Alex refuses to back down. He casts Thundara again. Then again. Each ti narrowly dodging fire as he empties his MP, even ignoring the shots that hit him. He doesn’t even glance at the damage numbers—he just keeps casting, over and over, blasting apart one Geth after another. For tougher enemies, he switches to Flying Thundara Sword, targeting the Engineers directly.

Fighting on instinct, drained but determined, he clears out the Geth on his side of the platform. His HP, MP, and AURA are nearly gone. His stamina is fading fast, he finally drops behind cover, desperate to survive.

Breathing heavily, Alex draws his [Stiletto Pistol], ready to shoot anything that cos close. With no more power left to cast or tank, he blindly tosses the rest of his Annihilation Grenades over the edge of the crate—no aiming, no plan, just praying for impact. He hears several loud explosions and shrapnel hitting the tal crates around him.

To his surprise, several of the grenades land well enough to clip a group of Geth. Their shields absorb most of the blast, but a few take actual damage.

One Geth Trooper makes it through, sprinting around Alex’s cover. Alex imdiately reacts and fires.

Thanks to the distance, I should hit. I just need to shoot as fast as I can.

With the Geth down, Alex slumps back. His hands are shaking as he is out of options; he can’t eat more healing items or cast anything else. He just hopes his team can finish the job.

The Gunfire fades in the distance.

Carefully, he peeks around the edge of his cover.

Ashley is close by, taking out the final Geth. Shepard and Kaidan are already working to disarm the remaining charges.

Alex rises slowly, helped by the strong passive regeneration still ticking from his [Infused Exceptional Dish (Dragon Skewer)]. He staggers toward Ashley, pistol still in hand.

“Clear,” Ashley says over comms.

Alex walks across the battlefield and manages to pick up two more White Chests and one Green Chest, bringing his total to three White Chests, one Green Chest, and one Blue Chest—a very respectable haul, considering this was just a single mission.

He watches Kaidan and Shepard disarm the final charges, then quietly slips into a corner to open his chests, taking advantage of his temporarily boosted stats. He’s not willing to waste another [Blood Essence] to raise them again later, just to open his chests.

Starting with the White Chests, he opens all three at once—and finds himself more than satisfied.
