Alex’s consciousness returns to his body, and he imdiately surveys the situation around him.
Spandam’s head is still airborne—the force of the impact was so strong that it not only pierced but also ripped it clean off.
I... didn’t really want to aim for him, but I guess he deserved it. He only had a Doriki value of 9, so even below an average Marine soldier... no wonder the effect was this big.
Just a second later, his body follows after his head, slowly dropping lifelessly onto the ground.
“Assassin!” a Marine yells, his eyes opening wide.
“The Chief is dead!” another one screams in panic.
The chaotic situation grows even more tense, and a few more Marines flee without looking back.
Even Smoker and Tashigi look visibly upset. After a fraction of a second, Smoker springs into action, transforming his lower body into smoke, and he flies into the air, having gauged Alex’s general direction.
Shit...
Alex puts away his bow and switches to Zetsu again, hiding his presence.
He knows my general direction, but he hasn’t seen yet. He may expect an arrow that he can evade with his body, but I know from his duel with Ace that Fire is effective. More importantly, it will surprise him and allow to regroup with the others. Only when he fully turns into smoke will he receive immunity. Also, thanks to my ring, the fire will be especially lethal since it can pierce most immunities and even have a little hint of frost energy. If he can’t react in ti, he will still take damage.
He then draws his [Draining teor Sword], imdiately casting Fira, using it as a conduit to enhance the spell by a significant amount.
Without hesitation, he points his sword at the unsuspecting Smoker and directs the full impact onto him, choosing to use the more damaging single-target variant.
A compact and fierce, fiery explosion instantly engulfs Smoker, a faint Azure color visible within the flas, his [Cataclysmic Frost-Fire Ring] empowering it even more.

Unable to stay focused, he loses height and crashes into a building.
“Smoker-san!” Tashigi yells in shock.
“Captain!” one of his soldiers screams, his eyes full of fear.
“A devil! A devil is here!” one Marine yells, fleeing the scene as well.
However, most other soldiers’ expressions turn hostile, their courage showing as they obviously care for their captain. Most of them charge towards the building, rushing inside to aid their Captain.
Alex, using the opportunity, jumps down from the building and rushes to the others, quickly rejoining them.
The Marines and remaining CP9 mbers are unable to react until Alex has already reached Benezia and the Straw Hats.
Finally, they spot him.
Jabra imdiately points his finger at him.
“It’s the Butcher!” he yells angrily, causing everyone else to notice him as well. The Marines slowly return to their Ensign and group up again, drawing their rifles and sabers but not engaging in battle.
Fukurou stares at him and mutters, the zipper on his mouth completely open. “Chapapa... so this is the Butcher. He murdered both the chief and Lucci. I will avenge them, chapapa.”
This guy is a moron without any dangerous abilities... one of the others can take care of him. He isn’t worth paying attention to.
“YOYOI!” Kumadori yells in a lodic voice. “Mother in Heaven, see this villain and pray for his tainted soul.”

“Was that a Haiku?” Alex asks, gobsmacked by the sudden developnt.
“YOYOI. I, Kumadori, acknowledge your artistic knowledge and appreciation of true culture, but I will not spare you regardless,” the Agent says, whirling his Khakkhara—a long rod made out of tin through the air.
That damn rod looks so dumb and useless... but he can use Shigan with it. Along with Life Return, that guy is clearly skilled and dangerous, as his skill in various combat techniques is extrely high. Thankfully, he can’t compare to Lucci, Kaku, and Jabra in power, or he would be truly strong.
“You...” Nami yells, pointing at Alex. “You are crazy! Benezia as well!”
“Sorry... war is war,” Alex says, shrugging. “Calm down and focus.”
“Where is Luffy?” Zoro asks Alex imdiately.
“Well, I fought against Crocodile and his two outside helpers while Luffy rescued the King and ran away. Crocodile chased after him, but he managed to escape... at least for now. I’m not sure where he is. I was chasing after their general direction when I stumbled upon you. There were also talks about a grave to the west of the city,” Alex explains, staying mostly truthful.
“Less talking,” Benezia says. “We are still in the middle of a fight.”
“Where is Tereza? And Jewel?” Alex asks, snapping back to reality and the important issues at hand as he turns towards her.
“Tereza ntioned a Secret Quest and the little one decided to assist her,” Benezia explains. “Trust in them. They’re aiding the Princess, and they know what to do.”
As long as they do not carry a fucking bomb with them into the air and try to sacrifice themselves, I’m fine with whatever the fuck they are doing.
“I see... well, I guess we should focus on the battl—” Alex tries to say, only for Smoker to return, his head and clothes torched, a few tiny flas still visible on his outfit as he floats back to the battle.
As he lands—this ti not at the back, but right on the frontlines next to the remaining agents—he imdiately pulls out two new cigars and puts them into his mouth.
“Need a lighter?” Alex asks him, smiling. “I can lend you one again. Surely you appreciate the nice gesture, right?”
“... Butcher,” Smoker roars, striking a match and igniting his cigars. “Your cris will be punished, right here, right now. Do you even realize who you killed? You will be hunted wherever you go. The whole world will want you dead—there won’t be peace, there won’t be rest. Your life is over.”
“Well, if that’s the case, I don’t need to worry about killing you as well, right?” Alex responds, walking forward without slowing down. “Should I start with that little girl who worships you like that?”
As Alex’s words slowly echo through the battlefield, he feels Zoro briefly shake in rage, before regaining control.
Shit, forgot about that connection.
“Benezia...” Alex says in a cold voice. “Please... assist and guide ... just for ten seconds. I need you to set up the battlefield for .”
Alex sheathes his [Draining teor Sword] and draws his [Executioner’s Blade R2], everyone’s eyes imdiately landing on it as he lifts it into view.
“It’s the Butcher’s famous sword...” Tashigi mutters from a distance. “Its origin is unknown, but I can feel its mysterious power. Smoker-san, be careful!”
“No need to be careful,” Alex says in a mocking voice. “Look, this big knife is used for executions... what use could it be in an actual battle? It’s not like I can just swing it and you’ll die. Mighty Marines under such a high-ranked and prodigy Captain, and mighty CP9 Agents—who are weaker than the ones we’ve already taken care of. Surely such an impressive force can stop us weak pirates and collect our tiny bounties.”
As he taunts his enemies, he notices Benezia out of the corner of his eye, gathering her Biotic Energy with steady focus, trying her best to suppress any visible sign of her impending attack.
“I’ll rip you apart, you damn arrogant bastard!” Jabra yells, finally losing his patience.
“Now,” Benezia whispers quietly. Despite her low voice, Alex imdiately recognizes the urgency in it.
Now or never!
Alex does not hesitate; exactly as he secretly planned, he activates [Uzin’s Rage].

Imdiately after he activates Blizzara Sword and Ren, he follows it up by executing a flying sword slash, combining everything into a single attack. His Flying Blizzara Sword suddenly shoots forward, and almost nobody is able to react in ti thanks to his increased AGI. rely the agents show so sort of reaction, their eyes widening.
However, even before his attack lands, a Biotic shockwave blasts past him, ripping apart the ground and smashing straight into the Agents and Marines.
As his attack is about to connect, he sees the agents—despite his taunts and his increased speed—are already about to dodge, aning his flying slash will tear right past them instead and only hit the Marines.
However, at the last second, another Biotic ability lands before him. Alex recognizes a singularity forming near the agents, dragging them towards it, pulling them exactly into the path of Alex’s attack.
Despite his slash not landing yet, Alex uses his enhanced AGI to follow it up with a Biotic Ability of his own, naly Warp, firing a powerful Biotic orb towards the Singularity.
Just a fraction of a second later, the scene in front of Alex turns into a nightmare as explosions, screams, and bodies being torn apart invade his ears. He ignores anything related to the Marines as they are not even worth his attention.
He only focuses on the agents. His own abilities land, hitting Jabra primarily, who is unlucky enough to be floating at the very front—taking the brunt of the damage.
