Three hundred miles from the Holy City, the Divine Army camp was brightly lit by torches, filled with an intense warrior’s aura and pervaded by Evil Qi. The Divine Army soldiers seed to have forgotten the day’s defeat, their morale restored. The patrolling guards, their eyes as sharp as eagles, were on high alert, ready to detect the slightest sign of movent.

"Report to the War King! The Divine Emperor of Light has inexplicably disappeared. The Holy City is now leaderless and in chaos!"

In the central command tent, a Scout knelt on one knee, respectfully delivering his report. Nie Feng sat at the head, with generals standing on either side. Expressions of deep thought were on everyone’s faces.

The Divine Emperor of Light was missing? This was indeed unexpected.

"Issue the order! Set out at once! Attack the Holy City!" Nie Feng contemplated for a mont, a possible explanation dawning on him, and gave the decisive command.

The generals were taken aback. Although filled with doubts, they still followed Nie Feng’s order and went to mobilize the troops.

BOOM!

BOOM!

BOOM...

Thunderous drumbeats shattered the night’s tranquility. The resting Divine Army soldiers quickly assembled, their weapons gleaming coldly in the torchlight.

"Set out!" Nie Feng, sword in hand and a grim expression on his face, rode a dragon-scaled horse out from the central command tent, leading his troops toward the Holy City.

From the mont Minglong disappeared, he had made a bold guess. He theorized that the palm print from the sky was a trump card of the Light Divine Court and could only be used once. This was the only way to explain Minglong’s escape.

"The rebels are back! Everyone, to the defenses! Don’t let these beasts into the city!" The Holy City’s defenders, hearing the distant drumbeats, hastily rushed to the walls to defend the city.

Whether this battle would end in victory or defeat, or if another palm print would fall from the sky—they didn’t care. They only knew that, as soldiers of the Divine Court, they had to hold on until the very end. Besides, their families were all within the city walls! To secure the loyalty of the ten divine legions, the Ancestor of Light had ordered all families of the soldiers to live in the Holy City. This asure aid to provide protection while also holding them hostage.

An hour later, the Divine Army arrived before the city, an iron torrent radiating a terrifying aura.

"Kill!" Nie Feng unsheathed his sword. A terrifying Sword Qi swirled around it as he slashed forward.

The sky turned white!

BOOM!

The city walls, which had stood for hundreds of thousands of years, collapsed, burying tens of thousands of defending soldiers beneath the rubble.

"Kill, kill, kill..." The Divine Army soldiers sward into the city, still adhering to the dayti order: kill everyone on sight.

Nie Feng stood outside the city, observing the battlefield intently. He occasionally glanced at the sky, ready to intervene at any mont. Fortunately, what he feared most did not happen.

Amidst the flas of war, the slaughter, and the screams of the dying, the Holy City gradually fell. Its defenders were almost entirely wiped out. The Divine Army soldiers were all drenched in blood, exuding a potent Evil Qi.

"War King, you can enter the city now!" Li Tianwen had not participated in the battle, as many of the city’s defenders were his forr comrades. He had been following Nie Feng the entire ti. Hearing the sounds of battle dwindle, he respectfully suggested.

"Let’s go!" Nie Feng nodded and marched into the city.

Everywhere they looked, there was nothing but slaughter! Except for the imperial palace, almost all other buildings were damaged, leaving only ruins.

A quarter of an hour later, Nie Feng arrived at the gates of the imperial palace. Looking at the familiar yet unfamiliar surroundings, a wave of nostalgia washed over him as scenes from his childhood unintentionally flashed through his mind.

In the beginning, it was indeed quite wonderful. It was only after he deciphered the Yin-Yang Scripture and understood the grim reality behind it that he fell from heaven to hell.

Shaking his head to discard the images in his mind, Nie Feng said indifferently, "Destroy it."

He felt no pity whatsoever for this place he loathed.

Destroyed... Destroyed? Li Tianwen was sowhat reluctant and wanted to dissuade him. But seeing the icy expression on Nie Feng’s face, he consciously closed his mouth, bowed, and said, "As you command!"

Nie Feng took one last deep look at the imperial palace, then turned and left.

What wonderful architecture! What a pity! Li Tianwen gazed at the towering, majestic, and resplendent imperial palace, sighed, then clenched his hands. Powerful Spiritual Energy gathered in his fists, and he struck forward with all his might.

A surge of fist energy erupted, striking the palace buildings.

RUMBLE!

Large sections of buildings collapsed; glazed tiles, purple pillars, and white rafters all turned to dust.

The Divine Court had begun to fall.

The slaughter lasted for a day and a half. It was not until the evening of the next day that the Divine Army soldiers withdrew from the Holy City, their eyes bloodshot, reeking of potent Evil Qi. Several soldiers were pouring oil throughout the city, the air filling with its pungent odor.

Nie Feng stood at the city gate, holding a torch. Once the oil was spread, he flung the torch into the city.

WHOOSH!

The oil ignited instantly on contact with the fla and spread rapidly. Before long, it engulfed the entire city, transforming it into a world of fire. Billowing smoke rose like black dragons coiling in the sky. The surrounding temperature rose sharply.

"Let’s go!" Nie Feng gave the command calmly, then turned to look west, a hint of dominance in his eyes.

Up next, it’s ti to complete another task. Once the oath to the Heavenly Dao is fulfilled, it will be my ti to realize my grand ambitions and achieve great things!

So ruthless! The Light Divine Court, which has existed for a million years, is gone just like that! This Nie Feng is quite sothing. I reckon another storm is about to stir up in this Dao domain! The ancient holy kings observing the battlefield watched as the Holy City beca a sea of flas, their hearts filled with myriad emotions. Witnessing the fall of a power on their own level, their hearts grew heavy. In Nie Feng, they saw ambition and domination, much like their younger selves, who had all aspired to carve out a new world of their own.

「Qin Empire! In the Imperial Palace!」

All the civil and military officials were gathered for a morning assembly.

"Your Majesty," Jia Xu walked to the center of the hall, reporting in a solemn voice, "the latest intelligence from the Hidden Guard reports that Nie Feng has broken through the Holy City of the Light Divine Court. The major powers previously enfeoffed by the Divine Court have defected one after another, pledging allegiance to Nie Feng. The entire Great Light Domain is now under Nie Feng’s control!"

Everyone’s pupils constricted slightly, their expressions turning solemn. They were all familiar with Nie Feng’s battle record: first, he had killed six First-Turn Holy Kings, then slain a Second-Turn Holy King. Such a peerlessly fierce individual would not be easy to deal with. The Qin Dynasty had Zhuge Liang, but he had, after all, only recently achieved his breakthrough.

Could he defeat Nie Feng?

Nie Feng... At the head of the officials, Li Si’s eyes glinted as he fell into deep thought.

"Vice Chancellor, if Nie Feng makes a move, are you confident?" Qin Wudao sat upon his throne, his expression calm, showing no sign of nervousness as he questioned Zhuge Liang.

Zhuge Liang responded without hesitation, "Your Majesty, as long as I am here, Nie Feng cannot overturn the heavens!" He was quite confident in his own strength. Even if he couldn’t kill Nie Feng, ensuring his own safety would be more than achievable.

"Good!" Qin Wudao nodded and declared authoritatively, "Although Nie Feng is strong, we are not weak. I want to see who will have the last laugh!"

His bold voice echoed throughout the grand hall and in the ears of all the courtiers.
