102: Chapter 91 Is this what humans do?_2 102: Chapter 91 Is this what humans do?_2 “Hmm…” Gaven didn’t utter any words of dissuasion; instead, he turned around and scrutinized the Goblin Sorcerer seriously, clearly considering the possibilities.

His thoughts had entered a blind spot before; he actually hadn’t thought of transferring control of the Dog Demon to soone else.

Now reminded, his mind indeed beca much more open to new ideas.

“Mr.

Gaven…” Seeing Gaven’s reaction, the Maiden Priestess grew even more anxious.

Gaven waved his hand and said, “Vick doesn’t know what he’s doing, but I do.

This matter is a burden for us, but not for the Goblin.

Though the Dog Demon is a Devil, his original plane isn’t Hell, but the Shura Field, the plane of the Goblin Chief God.”

“Aren’t all Devils from Hell?” The Maiden Priestess, obviously lacking knowledge in the study of other worlds, asked.

If what Gaven had said was true, the danger she had previously perceived might no longer be an issue.

Gaven looked at the Goblin seriously and said, “This matter carries certain risks, great risks.

It involves the soul, and it’s beyond my control.

I can’t guarantee your safety.

If you fail, I might have to kill you.”

“To beco stronger, one must pay a price.” Although the Goblin Sorcerer wasn’t usually talkative, he had learned a lot, especially about the determination to grow stronger, during his lengthy ti at Gaven’s side.

“Good, having this resolve is excellent,” Gaven said appreciatively.

“But even when making a contract with a Devil, even if it’s a dominating Soul Enslavent Contract, you cannot take it lightly.

Not only will the Devil’s power erode you, but his words, his thoughts, will also erode you.

You must always battle against it, never let him get the upper hand.”

“I understand.”

“Good, Anna, where’s the Prayer Scripture?

Let see this Soul Enslavent Contract before we proceed,” Gaven said, still cautious and not imdiately agreeing.

“I didn’t bring it…” The Maiden Priestess held her hands behind her back, gazing up at the sky as if looking to delay further.

“That book is wider than your waist; I’ve seen it,” Gaven said earnestly.

“Don’t worry, I know what I’m doing.

The Dog Demon’s true power lies in its gnawing, its incredible evolutionary ability.

In terms of tempting the soul, it’s always been weak.

I’ve only heard of Tempting Demons, Succubi leading people to fall.

When have you ever heard that Dog Demons have this ability?

As long as Vick maintains his integrity and doesn’t listen to the Dog Demon’s temptations, there won’t be any issues.

Moreover, do you think I would allow a Devil to be out of my sight for an extended period of ti?

Nothing is set in stone yet.

We don’t even know if this Soul Enslavent Contract is real or effective; co on, let’s go to my stone hut and study it carefully.”

Gaven half-hugged, half-escorted the Maiden Priestess, heading to his stone hut.

It was unclear whether his capturing technique hit Anna’s pressure point.

Or perhaps the Maiden Priestess had never been in such close contact with another man before.

Her entire body went soft, her face turned beet-red, and Gaven was practically dragging her along.

Gaven was an old hand, seasoned in many battles.

The Maiden Priestess stood no chance against him; a light squeeze, a gentle knead, and he deprived Anna of her last bit of rationality.

By the ti she ca to her senses, not only had Gaven taken her Prayer Scripture, but he had also flipped through nearly half of it.

To say he skimd ten lines at a glance was no exaggeration.

Gaven himself had not delved deeply into it, just roughly read through, saving the rest for mory excavation later, which was more ti-efficient.

His mory would be better then, and his efficiency greater.

Three cobblers equal one Zhuge Liang.

A Reborn Legendary Warrior, an incomplete Priest, and a sowhat competent Magician.

They all studied the Soul Enslavent Contract thoroughly.

It was definitely real.

Not because of anything else, but solely based on the Prayer Scripture in the hands of the Maiden Priestess—the first half was an official, uniform handwritten copy, while the latter part concerning Demon notes had personal additions, much like annotations, involving higher Devils such as the Tempting Demons and Wax lting Demons.

This indicated that the owner of the notes was at least a high-end Transcendent Priest, professionally involved in exorcism, and their study of Devils and Demons far exceeded Gaven’s.

The Soul Enslavent Contract was top-tier.

Normally, with the Priestess’s half-baked knowledge, she could not cast such a high-level Array.

But this was the complete version of the Soul Enslavent Contract.

This contract taught others how to summon Devils or Demons from Hell or the Abyss for enslavent.

This was the toughest part.

After all, for the creatures inside, the Abyss and Hell are prisons.

To tear them open, significant strength and preparations for the sacrificial ceremony are needed; so parts even leaned towards evilness, or at the very least the Maiden Priestess felt disgusted and greatly resisted it.

The summoning itself was also the most significant risk.

Should any errors occur in the Array, if the summoned Devil or Demon broke free, the summoner would be in the direct line of fire.

But Gaven and his team didn’t need to worry about that; the object of their contract was right next door, trapped by extre physical ans, waiting for them to exact judgnt, even saving them the trouble of setting up the Array.

What remained was to cast spells by following the instructions, which wasn’t difficult for the Goblin Sorcerer.

After only a few readings, he morized it.

“It’s been decided then, but there’s still one task that needs preparation.

Before that, we’ll do our best to weaken that Dog Demon’s strength, and that task is mine,” Gaven said as he walked towards the Maiden Priestess’s church.
