1145: Chapter 648: Overwhelm from All Sides_2 1145: Chapter 648: Overwhelm from All Sides_2 After devouring a massive quantity of blood and flesh, the group of snakes in the Corrosion Pool gradually cald down from their berserk state, squirmingly rged into one another, forming a huge cluster, and then slithered ashore.
By the ti it reached the shore, it had already acquired the basic outline of an Abhorrent Serpent Person, with a thick and massive python body, a humanoid torso and arms, and an enormous cobra head, all pieced together from snakes of various sizes; especially at its arms’ ends, where hands and fingers should be, there were clusters of pythons.
Countless pythons, thick as an adult’s thigh, wriggled and flicked their tongues there, and from their vibrant colors, it was clear these pythons were anything but harmless and non-venomous.
If an ordinary person were to face such a horrific existence, they would have likely been paralyzed with terror, unable to even stand, let alone engage in combat.
Such a terrifying and unique existence had never before been seen or even heard of by Gaven and the others, including the na Zehir, the deity of venom and scales, which Anachet ntioned.
Gaven found it completely foreign, as there are primarily three well-known Serpent Gods.
One is the Giant Serpent of the Night, Dendar, also known as the Snake of Nightmares, the Snake of Fear, and the Serpent of the World’s End.
Its followers believe it feeds on fear and nightmares, continually growing until it engulfs the whole world.
Another is erschalck, the Sovereign of the Deep Pit.
This Serpent God once dominated Serpent People worship, and eighty percent of the statues found in the ancient Serpent People’s Temples belong to it.
However, as the civilization of the Serpent People Empire was destroyed, its worship plumted.
The Serpent Main God entered a deep slumber, but many Serpent People Tribes are still active in its na.
Nurous Abhorrent Serpent People self-proclaim as its High Priests, conducting various live sacrifices and tornting others in its na, because they believe that enough evil deeds can awaken the Sovereign of the Deep Pit from slumber and lead them to restore the glory of the Serpent People Empire.
The last one is Seth, the Death Hiss, a newly erged Serpent God claiming to be an Incarnation of erschalck.
It appears in ancient Serpent People relics with the image of a winged Serpent Person, speaking with the sa voice as the Sovereign of the Deep Pit, vowing to lead the Serpent People out of their decline and re-establish their empire.
Many of erschalck’s followers have defected to it, but many others regard it as an usurper, attempting to steal the Divine Position during the Sovereign’s slumber, and so even believe it has devoured erschalck and pretends to respond to the prayers of the believers.
However, as false deities, foreign gods, and thievery of Divine Power are rife, it’s not unusual for a cult of an Evil Deity to suddenly erge in desolate and wicked places.
Just like the Koutao Fishn from Black Prison, who believe they worship an unprecedented deity; in truth, it’s rely a mad Incarnation created by the Undying Goddess of Vengeance for her own agendas—a disposable pawn.
Perhaps this deity of venom and scales is in the sa boat.
The being known as Serpent People Curse Exiler by those Serpent People looked just like the Corpse Spider Elf, haphazardly assembled from countless snakes.
In reality, there is a fundantal difference between them.
The Serpent People Curse Exiler is a Magic Creature, whether its current form is Innate or Acquired, it represents an indivisible entity.
This situation has its pros and cons.
The downside is that the snakes composing its body are fixed, not just any random snake can beco part of its body.
Naturally, it can’t absorb snakes into itself unrestrainedly to grow limitlessly like the Corpse Spider Elf does.
The advantage is that since it’s a unified creature, it will unlock a series of Special Abilities inherent to living beings.
In other words, although the strength and Constitution Attributes of the Corpse Spider Elf had reached the Divinity Tier, it did not unlock a range of Transcendent, Legendary, or Divine bonus abilities, only obtaining the basic benefits provided by the Attributes.
In terms of body control, they are incomparable.
The Corpse Spider Elf can, at most, control the basic movents of its body fra, while the Serpent People Curse Exiler can control the movents of every single snake in its body, including Attacks.
Towards the Serpent People Curse Exiler, those Serpent People harbored an innate fear and terror, including the now armless Abhorrent Serpent Person Anachet who couldn’t help but keep as far away from it as possible, fearing that his own scent of blood would provoke it into seeing him as a living sacrifice and devour him.
However, the ergence of the Serpent People Curse Exiler also brought a slight sense of security to Anachet.
The power of this terrifying being, as unstable as it was pronounced, was the unique Divine guardian bestowed upon him by Zehir, the deity of venom and scales.
Only then did Anachet have ti to observe the attacker; despite everything, the assailant had not yet revealed herself.
The only reason Anachet knew her location was that she was holding his severed arms, as well as his own Longbow, and had returned to the side of the man wielding the Warhamr.
This indicated that the opponent had cast a High-level Invisibility Spell on herself or possessed such Magic Equipnt, maintaining invisibility even after engaging in an Attack.
“True Sight.” Anachet cast the Fifth Circle Spell on himself, which allowed him to see through Invisibility abilities.
