Chapter 1326: Chapter 708 Hidden Dangers Lurking in Colossus City_3

At this mont, Gaven’s prestige in this place was at its peak, and all the Half-Black Dragon Lizardfolk obediently complied without a single word of dissent.

The amount of dragon breath a single Half-Black Dragon Lizardfolk could produce wasn’t much, typically equivalent to their Constitution Adjustnt Value, usually four or five breaths. However, the sheer number of them made up for it.

Through accumulation, the number of Dragon’s Breath Tremor Bombs here was astonishing, reaching 200 per day.

The downside was that, like Sha’no, their dragon breath was relatively weak, and the power of the Tremor Bombs they produced ranged from 4D8 to 8D8, not even comparable to the Dragon’s Breath Tremor Bombs produced by the Dragon Oak Mother Tree.

However, their advantage lay in the fact that, besides dragon breath, the alchemy materials required only cost a tenth of a regular Tremor Bomb, making them far more economical. Gaven paid the Half-Black Dragon Lizardfolk ten gold coins per breath, which not only didn’t displease them, but actually made them overjoyed—after all, they had never earned such easy money since birth.

The low cost made these bombs more favorable for civilian use.

Reaching an agreent with the Lizard Queen, Kurgor, was also effortless.

This once-proud Black Dragon Queen had been tornted to near madness by her insatiable appetite. Upon being summoned, the first thing she did was munch on so dirt. She was no longer picky about food; anything edible would suffice.

When she heard Gaven propose trading food for dragon breath, she imdiately nodded in agreent without hesitation.

Her deal was the sa: one dragon breath in exchange for food worth ten gold coins. Despite being cheap, it was still better than having nothing.

Her dragon breath, however, was sothing to behold.

The Tremor Bombs she produced ca in two varieties: one was the Black Dragon’s Strong Acid Dragon’s Breath Tremor Bomb, with a destructive power of 19D8; the other, produced in her Shadow Giant Dragon state, was the Negative Energy Dragon’s Breath Tremor Bomb. This breath could induce an Energy Drain effect—creatures within the blast radius had to pass a Reflex save, failing which they would gain five Negative Ranks. Even success would only halve the penalty.

If a creature’s Negative Rank dropped below zero, death might be the least of their concerns—they could also be imbued with Negative Energy, transforming into a zombie or even a vengeful spirit.

This kind of Negative Energy Dragon’s Breath Tremor Bomb was practically a divine artifact for clearing out fodder-level troops on the battlefield. Against cannon fodder like Goblins, one bomb could wipe out a massive number of them. Goblins with Life Dice exceeding five were extrely rare.

Even within the Conqueror Army, those with more than five Life Dice were considered elites and constituted the backbone of the entire force.

The Lizard Queen could produce as many as 21 Dragon’s Breath Tremor Bombs per day, most of which were the Negative Energy variety.

Gaven had no intention of feeding the Lizard Queen anything valuable. Her eating was purely habitual, not a physical necessity. In any case, she ate anything—spoiled food and city garbage were all disposed of in her care.

Unfortunately, in these resource-scarce tis, even household waste was limited. The most abundant resource was biological waste, which was reserved for fertilization and thus unavailable to her. Occasionally giving her so leftover catches from fishing was the greatest rcy Gaven had for her.

After dealing with this matter, Gaven finally managed to address most of the direct benefits brought by the Dragon Oak Mother Tree’s upgrade. As for the hidden advantages, they would require ti to uncover.

All in all, the completion of the Dragon Oak Mother Tree’s upgrade had an influence on Gaven’s future developnt that even surpassed Lady Strategy’s ascension. Many of his plans needed large-scale adjustnts.

Gaven then secretly returned to the Koer Kingdom to tie up loose ends there.

His top priority, of course, was to visit Arosh, the Tree Spirit Kingdom in the King’s Forest.

Though he represented the Koer Kingdom, his visit was of a secret nature—otherwise, this task wouldn’t have been assigned to him in the first place.

King Yasan’s intentions were clear: to avoid internal conflict within the Koer Kingdom in the face of the major disaster of the Tukan Nomads’ invasion.

Gaven, having relatively close associations with natural races, was tasked with appeasing these natural spirits, ensuring they stayed peacefully within the King’s Forest, just as they had before.

Just as Gaven wished to avoid antagonizing the Natural Deities, so too did the Koer Kingdom seek to avoid combat with these natural spirits.

Throughout Felen’s history, wars with these beings yielded little gain yet brought about endless troubles. Future developnt would be hindered at every turn, while natural disasters would rain down in abundance like blades of grass.

No kingdom could endure such havoc for long. Before they realized it, they would fade into oblivion.

“Here will do. Put down,” Gaven casually pointed to a clearing in the forest.

“Is this the Tree Spirit Kingdom, Arosh?” The Half-Moon Colt gazed around in confusion. As a bona fide natural spirit herself, she was highly sensitive to the aura of nature. Yet no matter how she looked at this place, it seed like nothing more than an ordinary forest clearing, not a gathering of nurous tree spirits.

“If Arosh were so easy to find, they wouldn’t have hidden in the King’s Forest for millennia, only now revealing themselves. During my brief exchange with their Queen earlier, she ntioned the na ‘Dragon Oak Dream Realm.’ I have reason to suspect that this Tree Spirit Kingdom is not rely a Material Plane kingdom but a cross-plane kingdom, with portions existing both in the Material Plane and the Fairy Wilderness.”

Gaven voiced his speculations, “So, finding them is a troubleso matter. The best approach is to spread the word of my arrival and let them co to .”

“How do we spread the word?” The Half-Moon Colt appeared half-understanding.

“Beco one with nature, one with the forest, and the ssage will naturally be relayed. Every blade of grass and tree here serves as their eyes and ears—it just takes ti,” Gaven responded with a smile. “In the anti, I’ll take the opportunity to test out my newly acquired abilities. Hold onto this for .”

As he spoke, he had already removed the Howard Convenient Bag from his back and tossed it to the Half-Moon Colt.

Even though he now had a Portable Dinsional Bag, he still kept this spatial equipnt close at hand.

Retrieving items from a Portable Dinsional Bag was sowhat troubleso and could delay actions during battle.

Thus, he kept his instantly replaceable gear and consumables in the Convenient Bag for imdiate access.

Furthermore, the two spatial equipnt pieces could not be nested within one another. Placing the Howard Convenient Bag into the Portable Dinsional Bag could easily trigger a dinsional explosion, scattering his treasures across various planes.

After quickly removing and storing various scattered pieces of equipnt in the Dinsional Bag, he handed it to the Half-Moon Colt, leaving only his Combat Armor and the Dragon Oak Staff on him.

“It’s been so long since I felt this light,” Gaven couldn’t help but stretch and loosen up, feeling like his speed had improved by a whole tier.

After all, the equipnt he normally carried weighed a good 20 to 30 kilograms altogether.
