For the convenience of obtaining more stone pellets, the Cloud Manta remained hovering less than a hundred ters above the peak of its mountain habitation.
It confronted the Flying Dragon Flock.
Though lacking in intelligence, it possessed the survival instincts of a creature, able to easily judge the situation.
The number of Flying Dragons was too many; once a full-scale aerial battle ensued, it would easily be overwheld and get eaten alive.
In contrast, such a confrontation was relatively advantageous.
Its floating characteristic ant that as long as it stayed still, the energy consumption would be extrely low, and it could maintain this state for weeks.
Those Flying Dragons couldn’t do it, even if they kept using wind to hover, as long as they were in the air, they would burn energy massively, and soon they would beco fatigued and hungry.
The flying speed of the Cloud Manta was clearly less than half that of the Flying Dragons and Pegasus, yet it could hunt them down by waging a war of attrition, following them day and night, leaving them no ti to rest, hunt, or feed, and once their speed slowed down, it would gulp them down.
If not necessary, they generally wouldn’t focus on these flying creatures; compared, the herds on the ground were larger and easier to target, easier to beco fatigued.
Especially those in mountain areas, flying has more advantages than running on the ground, easily chasing the prey to a dead end, directly using psychic control to haul them into its mouth, not even letting them touch the ground.
The stalemate in this aerial battle was broken by the Thief Trio.
Once it was discovered that soone was approaching the Giant Peak, the Cloud Manta clearly beca agitated, frequently letting out deep Hous, sounding eerily like the eerie shriek of speeding wind through a narrow mountain gorge.
Seeing the abnormal reaction of the Cloud Manta, the Thief Trio got even more excited, climbed the Giant Steps with more vigor, indicating they bet correctly, the perch of the Cloud Manta was rely a lookout point, and Giant Peak was its true lair. The reason for its intense reaction was only one — the protective instinct of a mother.
"Holy crap, there’s really a Giant Palace here!"
"This palace must be at least twenty ters high, right? If I recall correctly, even Cloud Giants and Storm Giants are just extra-large in body size, not over ten ters high, right? Who’s supposed to live in this palace? The legendary Titan?"

The Thief Trio was stunned by the sight before them once they climbed the last step of the Giant Peak.
Standing before them was a palace built for a Giant standing fifteen or sixteen ters tall, at least twenty ters in height, making one feel as small as an ant.
The nest of the Cloud Manta was right on top of this Giant Palace, as you could see clearly the placent of various trees arranged in an interlocking pattern, solidly mud-caked.
It’s unknown whether the Cloud Manta sourced ready-made mud or mixed mud like a bird using its own saliva.
But they’re thieves, pretty professional ones at that, how could they not have climbing ropes? And how could they not know how to climb walls?
This is their specialty.
After just two or three attempts, the ropes got secured; once the last person ca up, the second and third ropes were hooked up respectively.
Led by the most agile Demi-Human thief, who quickly reported with a sharp, excited whisper from above, "We’re rich, we’re rich, haha... one, two, three, four, five... Five, there are a whole five Cloud Manta Eggs here, haha... one million, this is one million Gold Coins, quick, quick, co up, the Life-Sustaining Dinsional Bag I carry can only hold two..."
The other two thieves could no longer hold back, scrambling up with agility, seeing the scene before them, they couldn’t help but laugh joyfully in madness, they bet right on this risky adventure.
In the center of this bird-like nest Cloud Manta lair were five eggs arranged in a circle, just their size was astonishingly huge, not to ntion the Demi-Human thieves, even the tallest Half-Elf thief standing in front of them would be three-fifths less, covered with cloud-like patterns and spots.
Just one glance connected it directly to the Cloud Manta.
As they rushed over, the Demi-Human thief had already climbed atop one of the Cloud Manta eggs, who knows how he managed it, as this egg was slippery and more than twice as tall as him.
