How did this guy manage to slip in?

How long has he been here?

Why didn’t the heavily armored giant wraith guards in the palace react at all?

What’s up with this ability to transform into a statue?

Is it the shapeshift of a Shapeshift Beast?

No, the Shapeshift Beast can only mimic humanoids, never heard of it transforming into a statue.

Could it be the mage’s transformation of all things?

"Superstate Transformation, you’re a Psychic Sorcerer, a Shapeshifter," Yuriu recognized the ability of the intruder, his expression as deep as water.

The Gray Dwarves, once enslaved by the mind magic spell of a Soul Sucker Monster, harbored extre distaste toward those with psychic magic spell abilities.

More precisely, they had an ingrained fear and dread, prompting them to study such powers to avoid repeating history.

Gaven grinned at the Stone Giant taking slow steps towards the palace gate, "Domingo Administrator, stop wasting your efforts, your heavily armored giant wraith guards are no longer yours, they have been infused with my Shadow Power and are now mine."

It might be because the enemies he faced recently were sowhat unusual, many monsters had peculiar grand finales or odd origins.

For example, Efanso’s necromancer was actually an Evil Beast Spirit in disguise, backed by the Archduke of Devil, Mammon.

Then there were the Troll Kingdom’s trolls, who turned out to be cultists of the Abyssal Lord, Double-Haded Baboon, almost bringing Dimogorgen into the mix.

Not to ntion the ascension war at the Goblin Margins, where everyone had their ace in the hole.

This made Gaven see every opponent as having hidden tricks, so he remained cautious during his infiltration of the Grey Dwarf City.

But he found out things were much simpler than he had imagined.

He hid within a Gray Dwarf tavern, overhearing their complaints about heavy workload and increasingly difficult iron mining, yet no one could detect him.

He sneaked into their iron, steel forging workshops, observing the city’s operations firsthand, as if in an uninhabited land.

He infused Shadow Power into those heavily armored giant wraith guards, replacing them with puppets of Weizemay Manor, watching a stone giant engrossed in carving beside them, completely oblivious.

This situation arose because Gaven’s thods were extraordinary; both the Ghost Cloak and Superstate Transformation abilities were transcendent, making it hard to detect him without specific abilities to counteract.

The ability to control undead and replace them with Shadow Power was not common; it bordered on divine amulet power, allowing for flawless sches.

Yet, mainly because peace had reigned here so long, all the surrounding monster forces had been cleared away, making them the undisputed power, with no monsters daring to cause trouble.

The heavy armored giant wraith guards led by the Stone Giant Administrator were more for overseeing the Gray Dwarves, ensuring they mined and forged, rather than defending against external enemies.

Discovering the Stone Giant Administrator wasn’t as evil as presud and seeing the plight of the Gray Dwarf City, Gaven swiftly adjusted his conquer strategy.

If possible, a relatively peaceful takeover was preferable to declaring war on a Monster Tribe that had existed for thousands of years.

The Grey Dwarf City was easy but dealing with the Council of Death Chiefs, led by the Undead Stone Giant Chieftain Duokong, was no simple task, sothing evident from the formidable hundred heavy armored giant wraith guards stationed here.

These heavily armored giant wraith guards were not made from Stone Giant corpses; true giants, if of pure lineage, start at least five ters tall when grown.

All these heavily armored giant wraith guards stood over four ters but under five ters tall, classifiable as giant kin like trolls and Hobgoblin Giants, thus False Giants.

Made from the giantified corpses of monster races from the Giant Plains, they were neither skeleton nor zombie but akin to mummies, their armor garnts akin to burial shrouds.

This was a thod mimicking golem armor with undead ans.

A horde of steel monsters with transcendent life dice above, numb to pain and devoid of fear, yet possessing a transcendent combat awareness, certainly a battlefield disaster.

And for how many such troops the Council of Death Chiefs, manipulating the Giant Plains for untold years, had amassed is unknown.

Gaven manipulated them with Shadow Power, purely taking advantage of the ambush; on the battlefield, when they charge in droves, this thod won’t cut it, only direct confrontation works.

But at their very core were the Undead Stone Giants.

Giants were a transcendent race; even the weakest Hill Giants, once grown, had ten life dice naturally, while superior-ranked Stone Giants possessed fourteen naturally, a bit of effort sees them approaching quasi-legendary status, turning into an undead state makes them even stronger.

Not to ntion the Undead Stone Giant Chieftains, especially the first, Duokong, who has been in an undead state for over a thousand years.

Gaven suspected he wasn’t an ordinary undead being, but a witch, a high-level witch with at least thirty life dice.

Gaven’s kindly reminder did not dissuade Domingo at all; rather, he more frequently twisted the oversized ring on his hand, repeatedly calling: "Co in, everyone co in, there’s an intruder."

Then he ran towards the Giant Palace entrance.

Even with a stature almost three tis taller and a terrifying strength, Domingo, if necessary, preferred not to engage in close combat; letting the heavily armored giant wraith guards stall the enemy while he bombarded them with his inherent rock-throwing ability was the ultimate strategy.
