Now reading: Chapter 1503 - 767: You want war, I will give you war3 from Farming in a Parallel World and Becoming a God, a Fantasy novel by Eternal Night Knight.

The words of the Cloud Giant were not just ant for Gaven, but also for her, letting her know that she was far less important in his mind than she had imagined. From the start, it wasn’t her manipulation that succeeded, but rather that he was prepared, including understanding this conqueror.

She, Dilila, was rely a self-righteous tool in his hands.

The Dwarves Elf Priestess was a master of intrigue; upon seeing the Cloud Giant mobilize an air force within re minutes, she had essentially understood.

"I see." Gaven nodded knowingly and said, "I underestimated you. So, does this an we have no room for negotiation and must resort to force?"

He was making a final attempt, as the opponent’s aerial force was far more terrifying than he had anticipated.

Though they numbered less than four hundred riders, the threat they posed to the Conqueror Army surpassed even the encirclent of the three Goblin Margins monster armies.

Once war began, controlling his side’s casualties would be difficult.

His own air force was still in its infancy, but if given a year or two, he had confidence in reversing the power dynamics.

"If you don’t wish for war, pledge allegiance to and lead this Immigrant Horde into the Thunder Peak Mountain Range," the Cloud Giant set forth his conditions.

"You want war, then I’ll give you war. Proceed!" Gaven shouted loudly.

Brilliant erald light surged from behind the Half-Moon Colt beneath him, as one man and horse did not flee, but instead flew up towards the aerial army led by the Cloud Giant.

"Gods Above, what is Lord doing? Has he gone mad?"

"No!"

"Lord, don’t do anything foolish!"

Countless frantic screams echoed from the Conqueror Army, seemingly trying to stop Gaven’s reckless decision, for regardless of numbers or body size, the disparity between the two sides was too vast. Even riding the Half-Moon Colt, Gaven was not taller than the Cloud Giant seated on the throne, let alone the giant Ridgeback Beast swirling around him.

"Beware of the hamr in his hand; it’s a High-Order Artifact with many powerful abilities," Dilila voiced a warning to the Cloud Giant.

"Tear him apart!" The Cloud Giant waved heavily, and his Flying Army imdiately howled as they lunged at Gaven, while the Flying Throne flew in the direction away from Gaven.

This Cloud Giant was far more cautious than his rough exterior suggested.

Buzz! Buzz! Buzz!

The first to act were those Flying Dragon Cavalry. Though the bows held by the Eyes of Gewush were coarse, they were trendously powerful. Each of them was skilled in archery, especially expert at shooting moving targets, whether airborne or on the ground.

The initial volley of arrows all missed, as the energy jet-propelled flight thod was completely beyond their understanding, rendering all their predictions incorrect. Their superb archery beca a burden under these circumstances, with the more precise the shot, the higher the chance of missing.

The subsequent Eyes of Gewush hurriedly adjusted their attack prediction distances, with so abandoning bows entirely, drawing one-and-a-half-ter-long throwing spears, each letting out an angry low growl, as their hollow left eye exuded blood-red light, extending forward like a blood-red serpent coiled around their entire right arm and the throwing spear in hand.

The Wrath of Gewush.

This was a special ability granted by Gewush to the Eyes of Gewush, significantly increasing hit rates when they attacked enemies with weapons, and adding an extra 1D8 of damage (1-8), reaching peak damage against those Elves, taking the maximum value directly.

This included Gaven, whose Half-Elf bloodline was relatively thin, becoming a target of their rage.

These blood-red throwing spears were frighteningly accurate; though not bending, there was an invisible force constantly adjusting their direction, ensuring they locked firmly onto Gaven.

Yet, when these blood-red spears were only one or two ters away from Gaven, they collided with an invisible barrier, most of them sliding away from him.

A portion pierced through the invisible barrier, hitting the target, but their attack position was greatly affected, turning originally lethal strikes into non-lethal ones.

A very few had spears themselves radiating dazzling Magic Aura, akin to Armor-Piercing Arrows, tearing through the invisible barrier, yet still unable to harm Gaven. The protective ability of his Combat Armor was extraordinary, directly deflecting these magic spears without paying them mind.

Level 2 protective spells against arrows.

Creatures under such spell protection boost their resistance to ranged weapons, reducing magic damage from ranged weapons by 10, and creatures originally having similar damage reduction do not have their ability diminished. Once accumulated damage absorbed by the spell reaches 10 points per caster level (up to 100 points), the effect will dissipate, with a duration of hours per caster level.

This is one of the most commonly used protective spells on the battlefield, greatly reducing the lethality of various ranged weapons. This is also why gunpowder weapons have been slow to be developed and adopted on the Felen Continent, as early gunpowder weapons, even modern ones, suffer from questionable accuracy and lethality.

Facing enemies shielded by protective arrows often leads to instances where firing multiple shots doesn’t injure the enemy at all, making one doubt whether they’re holding a fake weapon, as bows and crossbows visibly deflect or divert arrows, but bullets do not.

Many monsters naturally possess similar abilities, like the Cloud Manta.

Protective arrows are rely the lowest level of usage, with more advanced High-Order Protective Arrows and Legendary Protective Spell Against Arrows, significantly enhancing defensive strength and also capable of resisting remote attacks from interdiate-low level magic weapons.

This isn’t the most extre; the most terrifying is Reversing Arrows, which can redirect enemy attacks back, achieving the goal of ’striking oneself.’ The stronger the remote attack firepower against the enemy, the stronger the backlash, a sure nesis for remote attackers.

Fortunately, such spells are extrely advanced and rare, not conventional spells.
