The frontline here is where Laiserman Kingdom’s army is stationed at Klonte, while the main force of the Tukan Army is assembled in the royal capital of Laiserman Kingdom, Ymirma.

The other line is Mosantiel.

Though Laiserman Kingdom has abandoned the north and central regions, where there are no defensive advantages, the southern Mosantiel area remains firmly in their control.

This area, although inland, is cradled by three lakes and a river, forming a massive peninsula.

The Tukan people, having already captured the Laiserman Fortress, could have easily advanced to attack Mosantiel City directly, but under the strong recomndation of their ally, Ser, they have not done so.

The Kingdom of Ser sits across the lake from Laiserman Kingdom. Mosantiel Peninsula, with Mosantiel City at its helm, has always been the focus of their struggle. Their main army has advanced onto the Mosantiel Peninsula no less than five tis, surrounding Mosantiel City, but each ti they have returned defeated.

The reinforcent with various spells by the Laiserman Witches over hundreds of years has made it incredibly strong, and endowed with nurous magical effects was just one aspect.

The crucial factor is that Laiserman Kingdom maintains a powerful inland naval force on Lake Asen and Mosantiel Lake, capable of rapid troop transport.

Sending their forces onto Mosantiel Peninsula to besiege Mosantiel City before neutralizing this naval force would be akin to marching them into a trap. Laiserman Kingdom can easily dispatch their Berserker Legions to invade any position, making it impossible for them to freely assault Mosantiel City.

Once the besieging forces grow weary, the garrison of Mosantiel City would unleash a full-scale attack, cooperating with the reinforcents to strike from within and without. No one can withstand the pincer attacks of two Laiserman Berserker Legions, including those skeletal remains of Ser that know not fear, let alone other intelligent creatures.

The Tukan people possess no naval forces; the majority of them are land-bound like ducks, unable to navigate water. The entire army is blocked to the east, unable to advance westward, naturally leaving them with no ans to tackle Mosantiel Peninsula.

They can only allocate a detachnt of 50,000 troops to hold them off, preventing the Berserker Legion stationed at Mosantiel City from supporting the northern main forces.

Then they await the natural forces to take effect, so that once Lake Asen and Mosantiel Lake are entirely frozen over, the Tukan people’s army will not only be able to cross collectively, but Laiserman Kingdom’s inland fleet will also be trapped, unable to exert combat strength.

At the heart of the massive tented camp in Klonte, within a luxurious tent, an urgent eting is underway.

The seating arrangent here forms a circular shape. Seated at the lowest position is a male Laiserman, with the most typical Laiserman highland red skin, black hair, and brown eyes. However, his height is not quite Laiserman, as even when seated on an iron throne, he is taller than most Laiserman, and when he stands, he would undoubtedly be as robust as a brown bear.

He is the present Herong Sedrin Ilva of the Laiserman people, also known as the Iron King.

In a strict sense, the title Iron King is rely titular. His role in Laiserman Kingdom leans heavily toward military command, primarily responsible for commanding the Laiserman Berserker Legion, maintaining smooth roads throughout the kingdom, ensuring border security, and reducing the number of dangerous monsters to the minimum.

He does not have the authority to decide policies, nor the authority to appoint the next Iron King. He is elected by a vote from candidates recomnded by the Veklaran Witch Council, naly the Laiserman Witch Council.

The witches are entrusted with the duty to assist and protect the Iron King, and they also have the power to dismiss him at will, usually exercised in cases of serious negligence.

Sitting at the top are eight won, their attire entirely uniform: all in sky-blue long dresses with bright red composite hems, accentuating their graceful figures.

Unfortunately, it is impossible to see their true faces. They all wear white faceless masks, revealing only a pair of pupils. The masks are adorned with exquisite feathers at the top, radiating a silent wildness.

Even Sedrin as the Iron King can only distinguish them by their height, body type, and the feather colors on their masks, and remains unaware of their true identities, who could be his wife and daughters, elders, or even his maidservants.

The identities of the Laiserman Witches are highly confidential, even among the sisters of the Witches’ Council, let alone the ordinary people.

When Laiserman Kingdom was first established, the Laiserman Witches did not wear masks or hide their identities from their citizens.

It was not until a thousand years ago that a berserker nad Braeg, nicknad ’The Strong,’ appeared in Laiserman Kingdom. He amassed a great number of Laiserman Berserker followers through his formidable martial prowess, and after the previous Iron King passed, he demanded that the Laiserman Witch Council appoint him as the new Iron King.

The Laiserman Witch Council refused, citing his evil and violent nature. Braeg, leading his followers, launched an unrciful slaughter against the Laiserman Witches, catching them off guard and resulting in the deaths of many Laiserman Witches.

In the aftermath of Braeg’s rebellion being crushed, the Laiserman Witches decided to conceal their true identities with masks to prevent targeting by enemies.

It proved to be an effective thod.

The masks they wear are not ordinary, but totem masks imbued with powerful totem strength. They not only block divining magic but can also substantially alter the wearer’s physique. When one attempts to deduce their true identity based on their projected physique, it often leads them into a trap.
